1967 Ss Impala on 2040-cars
Bixby, Oklahoma, United States
1967 Chevrolet SS Impala
Vin verified SS V-8 car. Took in on a trade. Was told it has a 350 4 bolt main. (small block chevy) Holly 4 bbl carb. Hei ignition system Has power steering. New Radiator New Fuel pump 4 speed manual transmission and console. (needs to be bolted down etc.) Shifter is tight to shift. I would probably put in a Hurst shifter if I was going to keep the car. Car was originally column shift. Front end has been rebuilt and has the big block springs already installed for a big block chevy installation. Air shocks on the rear. Previous owner installed the cowl hood and 427 emblems Has the gold laquer paint from Eastwood. Body work is fair and could use a few touch ups. There is paint in the trunk and car could be real cherry with a little work. 7 out of a 10 on my scale. Looks real sharp from 15 to 20 foot away which NADA says is an average retail description. Body seems to be in good shape for its age.. I'm not real familier with the normal area to look for on these cars.. I can see there was a little body work done above both the rear fenders which is probably normal. I prefer trucks. LOL Car has quite a few extra parts included. New front seat covers in the box and need to be installed. New wheel cyls. and brake springs. New fuel tank sending unit module, gauge is a little off. Was told the sock needed replacing in the tank as well. Power brake booster set up out of a doner Impalla and a few other misc parts. ) Currently tagged and inspected. Clear Texas title. Built In Arlington Texas. Headliner has a small tear and needs a little work in the back portion. Interior lights come on when you open the door as well as the trunk light when you raise the trunk... cool... Car is fun to drive and gives you that firm muscle car lean you back in the seat when you give her some gas... OH YEAH!!!!! Car is a real head turner and gets a lot of attention! I have shared everything that I know about the car. You can make arrangements to come and see the car if you want. Its located just south of Tulsa Oklahoma off of I-75. There is No warranty expressed or implied. I also reserve the right to end the auction early since the car is for sale locally until the reserve price is met !!!! Happy bidding!

Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures
Tue, Jun 23 2020It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.
2016 Chevy Volt powertrain video teasers
Fri, Oct 31 2014If there's one thing we've learned about plug-in vehicle fans, you have a thing for seeing your cars get made. The series of videos showing BMW i3 production was strangely popular, as were the shots from inside the VW e-Golf plant. Well, with General Motors pulling the veil off of the 2016 Chevy Volt this week, it's time to take a peek at the production process for that vehicle as well. You're welcome. Up first we've got a clip from CNN Money showing a little bit about how the new Volt's new battery pack and other powertrain components are made. Those of you who are trying to read the lithium tea leaves and see if the new shape reveals that the 2016 Volt will have five seats might want to check it out. Then we've got two clips from GM itself, one showing an animation about the updated Voltec powertrain and another with some B Roll of the old Volt. Since GM doesn't want us to see the new car quite yet, we'll have to enjoy this for now. Watch below. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.
