I have 2 1966 Impala's for sale for 1 price.

The blue car was restored in 1987, this car has a 427 rebuilt for 425 HP, muncie transmission, posi rear end and is a true SS. All interior parts are in nearly perfect condition. The only thing this car needs is a clutch. I have the original paperwork and booklet and title for this car.

The grey car is not a true SS, this car was originally red it is primed and ready to be painted. It is a frame off restoration with all new body bushings. I had the car stripped down to bare metal and is primed and ready to paint. There is NO rust and NEVER has been on this car. This car has NOT been patched or repaired except for the rear cowl. I had the rear cowl fabricated and welded in place. (see pics) As we all know, this was the weak spot of most Chevy's during this time period. Other than that repair this car is original metal and solid all the way through with a body as straight as a laser. there is NO title for the grey car, never has been, It is an original TN vehicle and they did not title cars back then in the south and due to it's age they will not create one either. This should not be a problem for states that did title in 66 as they know TN and AL did not.

The grey car is in pieces but I have ALL the pieces and then some. It just needs to be put back together. I have brand new (never used) carpet, head liner and ear muffs, along with window, door and truck rubber weather seals and the rest of the body mounting bushings, I also have extra parts I have accumulated over the years.

My intent was to take the restored interior, engine, trans and rear end from the true SS (blue car) and put it on the grey frame off restored southern car and have one hell of a Chevy.

Here is your chance to do the same or keep them as 2 separate vehicles.

For more information or more pictures, feel free to contact me via email or by cell @ 216-244-4305.

P.S These cars are currently in northern Alabama, I have included pictures of the VIN tags.

Thanks for stopping in.

Chevrolet considering midsize crossover to slot between Traverse and Equinox

Mon, Jan 9 2017

Crossovers are the new hotness, and automakers are looking to cash in by offering a size and shape for every customer. With Chevrolet's debut of the new 2018 Traverse in Detroit, which grew ever so slightly compared to the first-generation model, there is now a midsize-crossover-sized hole between the three-row Traverse and the compact Equinox. When asked about that obvious space, a Chevrolet spokesperson told us the company is looking into the possibility of expanding its crossover lineup. It should be a relatively simple thing to do, since all it would take is reskinning and rechristening the GMC Acadia with a bow tie, and we all know how much GM loves platform sharing. Although they're now different sizes, the new Acadia and Traverse still use the same platform; the Acadia is now on a short-wheelbase version of the C1XX while the Traverse uses long-wheelbase C1XX parts. A short-wheelbase Chevy built on the C1XX likely would be differentiated visually from both the Acadia and the larger Traverse. It may seem like flooding the lineup with more and more models would cannibalize sales of existing ones, but Chevrolet said it would rather have customers stay within the brand rather than going to another automaker. There have been whispers that some form of the Blazer name (possibly TrailBlazer) may make a return on a midsizer, but if it does don't expect an old-school body-on-frame SUV like the old one. In the end, if Chevy builds it, customers will come. Related Video:

GM recalls Cadillac ATS and Chevy Impala for separate issues

Fri, Feb 27 2015

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration added two recalls from General Motors in the government organization's daily update of safety campaigns. Both were for failing to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards but for completely separate reasons. The larger recall covers 58,698 units of the 2013-2015 Cadillac ATS, but it doesn't really carry huge safety concerns. In vehicles produced between April 25, 2012, and February 9, 2015, the controls for the tilt and slide of the moonroof are not recessed enough, as required by federal law. According to NHTSA, it's possible that someone could inadvertently activate the auto-close for the roof panel, which the agency claims increases "the risk of personal injury." Dealers will install a new trim plate that will add the necessary clearance. The other campaign covers 1,177 examples of the 2014 Chevrolet Impala from between November 15, 2012, and May 27, 2014. However, this is actually a repeat of a previous recall on the Chevy and the Cadillac XTS from 2014. The affected Impalas here "were remedied incorrectly" under the earlier campaign, according to NHTSA. On these sedans, it's possible the electronic parking brake might not fully disengage and still remain in some contact with the rotor, which is in violation of federal rules. The fault can cause excessive heat from the brakes that could potentially lead to a fire, according to NHTSA. To fix the problem, dealers will reprogram the electronic parking brake control module. In the affected vehicles, the power-operated roof panels auto-close when the non-recessed "Slide" or "Tilt" switches are pressed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) No.

Looking back at the Citation IV concept that likely shaped the GM EV1

Wed, Aug 20 2014

Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. We're not sure how that applies to the GM EV1, but we'd still like to share something from Autoline Daily, an online automotive new show with our friend John McElroy. He's been covering the business for decades now and recently found something interesting: pictures of the 1984 Chevrolet Citation IV concept, seen above. Displayed half a decade before the first electric concept that would become the EV1 (inset), McElroy says it's now clear that the elegant, aerodynamic EV1 took a lot of styling cues from the Citation IV, which was developed in part thanks to GM's new-at-the-time Aerodynamics Laboratory. We agree with him that the spats over the rear wheels, the flush glass, and the covered headlights all bear a certain kind of similarity between the two cars. That the colors almost match is a nice coincidence. The Impact (the concept version of the EV1) looked "frumpier," McElroy says, because it wasn't as long as the Citation. You can read a lot more about the Citation IV here and check out McElroy's thoughts in the video below. Find the Citation starting at around 3:45. This content is hosted by a third party.
