This is a decent numbers match car with a load of work done. Engine rebuilt, bored 40 over, with crank 10 under. Heads professionally rebuilt, a new stock cam. Runs nice. I took it down to frame, see pictures and started putting it back together a couple year ago. Trans was professionally redone by local transmission shop. New bushings front and rear. New brakes, brake lines and wheel kits. new master cylinder. New fuel tank, sending unit and fuel lines. Body is solid, A small patch under drivers feet and patch on right rear quarter panel. there are some after market parts, inner fenders both sides, bumpers front and rear with new supports. New power steering pump and cylinder and steering hoses. new head liner, carpet, seat covers(one small repair). I painted it yellow, my favorite. New trunk floor and drop downs(see pictures). Some molding is after market, but the side moldings and windshield are originals. I also added a complete new exhaust system. This is just a nice driver, I planned on keeping it and had no intention of selling, so documentation is scarce. I have a low reserve compared to most selling like it, but have to sell it, so I can do a little traveling. The outside has some dings and ripples but still looks great going down the road. New Chevrolet Silverado to be revealed on Facebook on Thursday
Tue, 11 Dec 2012There's not much to see here, but if you're one of those waiting for the reveal of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, above is the teaser image that Chevrolet posted on its Facebook page. We've seen the truck in form-fitting camo before, and even less can be made out here beyond those seriously punchy Silverado-esque fenders and the knowledge that the projector-beam headlamps teased previously do indeed work. We'll have to wait until Thursday for a full perusal of the "bold exterior design" and "careful attention given to every detail" we've been promised.
Gathering intel and rumors, magnesium and aluminum contribute to the Silverado's weight loss plan, the purported "High Country" top-tier trim will contribute to luxury pickup truck competition and profit margins and the next-generation small-block V8 will contribute to improved fuel economy. On the engine note, there have been rumors of available V6 engines, and when Facebook user John Jones asked "Where's your answer to that EcoBoost Chevy?", the Bowtie replied "stay tuned on the 13th. We think you'll be pleased...".
Along with the "Raise the Bar" tag, Chevrolet says of the Silverado, "You asked, we delivered." You can watch the reveal live on Chevrolet's Facebook page at 9:30 am EST, this Thursday, December 13. The GMC Sierra 1500 will also be there, and we'll see both in person at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
Opel CEO talks new EV, will likely be fresh face for Chevy, too
Wed, Jul 23 2014The rumored demise of the Opel Ampera has been confirmed, but there's good news, too. Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann has been busy Tweeting information about the brand's next plug-in vehicle, admitting that the Ampera is on the way out but that plug-in vehicles are here to stay. His Tweets, in full, read: After the eventual run-out of the current generation Ampera, we'll introduce a successor product in the electric vehicle segment. Our next electric vehicle will be part of our massive product offensive – with 27 new vehicles in the 2014-2018 time frame. We see eMobility as important part of the mobility of tomorrow and we will continue to drive down costs & deliver affordability. As we learned earlier this week, the Ampera will not be refreshed when the current Chevy Volt is updated, most likely because of slow sales. Opel sold just 332 Amperas in the first five months of 2014. For now, General Motors is still building Amperas in Michigan for export to Europe. So, what might this new EV mean for the General Motors plug-in fleet? Official spokespeople are being quiet, but we think it's safe to say the new EV Neumann is talking about is not simply a rebadged Chevy Spark EV. This is the first official word about an entirely new EV, and we expect it will come to both the Chevrolet and Opel brands.
