Up for sale is my 1962 Impala SS. I have owned this car 7 years. All I have done is tune it up and drive it on the weekends. New Edelbrock card and air cleaner (have the original Rochester and air cleaner), Petronix points conversion (just for reliability), 327 4 barrel factory with a powerglide. Car is complete and drives great. minor power steering leak but that's normal, Minor rust here and there nothing bad. Like I said this is a survivor car that was repainted in the 70's from my guess. All numbers match as they should. Drivers window needs a lower frame. Car has factory power brakes also. This is a great and easy restoration. I have 2 others and this one is the best of all my cars. I am not in a jam to sell it, just putting it out there to see if someone has to have it. Trunk, quarters, doors, hood, deck lid all rust free. Minor rust in the lower front fenders and on small spot on the drivers floor. BY NO MEANS IS THIS A RUST BUCKET! I have had over 20 Impala's of this era and I know these cars to well. This is the best 62 survivor I have ever had. The original hubcaps are included and the dog dish ones also. If there is a pic with Rally's on it those wheels are on my 63 now and do not come with this car. Right now the Car has the Original 14 inch wheels and BRAND NEW Hankook Whitewalls with the dog dish hubcaps on it. I am posting a lot of pics over the last couple years but the car has not changed. Always stored indoors and covered since I have owned it. Great car and if it doesn't sell I 'll keep it. Thanks and good luck. Cash only please. TN Title in my name in hand!

Ok, I have had a ton of email on the SS thing. I'll just say IT IS NOT AN SS so the bickering will stop, my appologies. I will post the VIN and Cowl Tag info shortly and you all can decide.
On a lighter note I forgot to mention a few new items I have done to the car are:
- All new Energy Suspension bushings for the rear suspenstion are installed
- All new Coil springs installed
- All new shocks installed
- New master cylinder
- New radiator
- Has a 1 wire alternator on it (but the harness has not been spliced or cut)
- Have 2 spare wiper motors (the one in it is tempermental)
- New Energy Suspension front sway bar bushings
- There's morre but I can't remeber everything......
With all that said I have driven the car 60-70 miles a day around the area with no issues. Would I drive it to Florida (600 miles) tomorrow? I would want to go through it a little more so I suggest if you are not with in a safe radius (50-100 miles) you trailer it. Yes it is the original 327 and it has never been reduilt or touched along with the powerglide. Still has the Rams-Head manifolds on it. No, I will not tell you my reserve. Remeber I do not have to sell it, just will part with it for the right price. Let's just say I have seen recently some real junkers on here lately go for alot more than my reserve. Hope everyone is happy now. Good luck and have a blessed day.

8 cars we're most looking forward to driving in 2015
Mon, Jan 5 2015Now that 2014 is officially in the books, it's time to look ahead. And following our list of the cars we liked best last year, we're now setting our sights at the hot new metal that's coming our way in 2015. Some of these, we've already seen. And some are still set to debut during the 2015 auto show season. But these are the machines that keep us going – the things on the horizon that we're particularly stoked to drive, and drive hard. Jeep Renegade Not the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Not the Ford Mustang GT350. Not the new John Cooper Works Mini. Nope, I'm looking forward to the adorable, trail-rated Jeep Renegade. And that's because I really, really, really like our long-term Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I do not, however, care too much for the Cherokee's looks, and I really don't like its $38,059 price tag. The Renegade Trailhawk, meanwhile, promises much of the same rough-and-tumble character as its big brother, but at what we expect will be a more reasonable price (I'm personally wagering on the baby Jeep's off-road model starting at no more than $23,000). With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a nine-speed automatic, it should also be a bit easier to fill than the V6-powered Cherokee. Also, I can't help but love the way the Renegade looks. It's like someone took a Wrangler, squished it by 50 percent and then handed it off to George Clinton for a healthy dose of funk. The interior, with its bright, expressive trims and color schemes should also be a really nice place to spend some time. I'll be attending the Renegade's launch later this month, so I'll have a much shorter wait than my colleagues. Here's hoping the baby Jeep lives up to my expectations. – Brandon Turkus Associate Editor Mazda MX-5 Miata Here's an uncomfortable truth: I'd rather spend a day driving a properly sorted Mazda MX-5 Miata of any generation on a winding road than I would nearly any other vehicle, regardless of power, price or prestige. It's not just that I prize top-down driving and enjoy the Miata's small size because it gives me more road to play with. I just find there's more motoring joy to be had with high-fidelity handling and an uncorrupted car-to-driver communication loop than I do with face-distorting power or grip – let alone valet-stand gravitas. But perhaps most of all, I love Miatas because they can deliver that level of feedback and driver reward at modest speeds that won't put the locals on edge or endanger lives – you can use more of the car more of the time.
2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible is the track car for sun worshippers

Supercharged, 6.2-liter V8? Check. Seven-speed manual? Check. Obsession with weight? Check.
What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
"Turbo" Chevrolet Camaro is a 700-HP fantasy car come to life [w/video]
Thu, 07 Feb 2013For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.
