Hi, I'm selling my California born 1962 Chevy Impala. As you can see by the pics this car is in very good condition in & out. Below I will try and describe to you exactly what I see and know about the car.

Starting with the outside: A fairly new 2 stage blackberry paint job over a really straight and rust free body. Paint job is very nice and looks black at night and at certain All the chrome including front and rear bumpers are rechromed in show quality triple chrome plating. All the stainless is redone also. Basically everything on the outside is new or redone. There's a new hood lip molding, headlight bezels, license plate frames, parking lamp lenses, windshield wipers, rear antennas, outer door handles, all emblems, taillights, top grill ornaments, mirrors, f&r window chrome, rubbers, front bumper guard, and door moldings. Rear panel is color matched to the rims(nice touch), and all side glass and frames all look to be original but still in real good shape. All exterior headlights, tail lights, and turn signals are in proper working order.

Inside: the inside is completely redone top to bottom. It was redone in a two tone burgundy pattern that looks really clean as you can see by the pics. There's all new seat covers and foam, door panels, arm rests bases, and inner door handles, headliner & visors, new carpet & floormats, rear deck lid panel with custom Impala insignia, door sill plates, leather kick panels, dash bezel, front seat side chrome, repainted dash & steering wheel, rear ashtrays, dome lamp lenses & covers, rearview mirror & bracket, turn signal lever & shift column lever, all pedal covers, e-brake handle, all window cranks, new dash pad, 3 gauge pod, and door locks & ferrules. A custom after market stereo CD player mounted in glove box with 2 6x9s on rear panel. Dash lights and done lamp lenses work. Headliner top stainless is all original and shows some normal flaws.

Motor & Transmission: Nicely detailed engine and bay. Newer crate 350 motor with receipts and lots of power and maybe 1,500 miles on it. All accessories are new. Painted block, all billet finned valve covers, air cleaner, wire looms, aftermarket headers, mild cam, new battery, alternator, hoses, belts, water pump, fresh tuneup, hei distributor, chrome thermostat housing, new radiator cap, radiator overflow bottle and stainless covered heater hoses. This is a power steering and power brake car and they both are in proper working order.
Transmission is a power glide that was rebuilt when the motor was replaced and shifts as it should. Very strong running car. Could be used as a daily driver if needed or your weekend hot rod for your local car show.

Rims & Tires: Brand new staggered Streeter Showwheels in the classic grey. Rim size is 20x10s in the rear with 265-35-20 tires. Front rim size is 20x8 with 245-35-20 tires. I also have a set of stocks with newer tires if you prefer the original look. Aftermarket springs were added for a more aggressive stance. Brakes are brand new front and back along with wheel cylinders.

Trunk & Undercarriage: Trunk is very clean and recently sprayed with a black speckle paint and trooped off with a new 3 piece trunk mat. Undercarriage is very clean and doesn't show any signs of rust anywhere. Nice sounding flowmasters with chrome tips cut before the rear wheels.

Thank you for reading my posting. Above I've described the car to the best of my knowledge. This car is priced to sell. Please email the above listing, or text or call if you have any further questions 408-712-942seven

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vs. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in latest Head 2 Head

Fri, Jan 30 2015

"Olympian" is one of the terms we use to signify the greatest height, the seat of the gods. Yet Mt. Olympus is the second-highest peak in the Balkans ranges, overshadowed by the crest at Musala in Bulgaria's Rila mountains. Both great heights, but one is a little higher. That's how we get the Olympian Chevy Camaro ZL1 pitched at the Musalic Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in Motor Trend's latest episode of Head 2 Head. The side-by-side spec sheet is filled with farcical numbers. For the ZL1, that's a 6.2-liter V8 with 580 horsepower, 556 pound-feet of torque, a 4,051-pound curb weight, 0-to-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 12.2 seconds and a base price of just $57,800. Opposing that, the Hellcat wrings out its 6.2-liter V8 for 707 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, weighs 4,449 pounds, does the quarter in 11.7 seconds and has a base price of just $60,990. Except in the case of the Hellcat, when Motor Trend put it on the dyno the machine spit out a reading of 672 hp and 606 lb-ft at the wheels. If there's a 10-percent driveline loss through those beefed-up internals and heavy-duty eight-speed transmission, that means the Hellcat is actually rated at about 750 horsepower and 700 lb-ft. But once they get put on a closed-off strip of coast road in Northern California, there are only a few strands of hair between their respective performances. That's not the case for they sensations provide; host Jonny Lieberman calls one of them, "One of the most incredible cars ever made," and says, "It changes everything." Watch the video above to see who got the verdict and how. Related Video:

The Tesla Model S was the best-selling EV of 2015

Thu, Jan 14 2016

According to numbers crunched over at Hybrid Cars, the Tesla Model S was the best selling pure electric vehicle last year with 50,366 deliveries. These numbers might not tell the whole story, since Tesla reports deliveries made in 2015 that might have been sold in a different calendar year, while other makers are tallying sales. However, it's inarguable that the Model S ended up in more worldwide driveways than the second-place Nissan Leaf, which did about 43,000 sales. In the US alone, Leaf sales were down 42.8 percent year-on-year, from 30,200 in 2014 to 17,269 last year, and that decline also increased throughout the year. That marks a great finish to a great start to 2015, when Tesla took the lead in EV sales in the US for the first quarter. On top of that, as of last year the Model S becomes the second-best selling EV ever, with 107,148 deliveries since the middle of 2012. It trails the Nissan Leaf, with well over 200,000 worldwide sales. The Chevrolet Volt/Opel Ampera combo takes a close third, with about 106,000 sales. The Nissan and Chevy rivals both launched at the end of 2010, a 16-month head start on the Tesla. Down the charts, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV which continues to be forbidden fruit for our market notched 39,000 sales. The BYD Qin PHEV sold 31,898 examples in China, and BYD would take the overall victory from Tesla with 58,728 deliveries if you counted all of its EV and PHEV production, such as its electric buses. The BMW i3 nabbed fourth place with 24,057 global sales. In 2011 the Munich automaker said it wanted to sell 30,000 i3s annually by 2014, but by the time the car launched the company considered 15,000 annual sales 'great for now,' so the 2015 number seems a fine place to wind up. Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
