THIS CAR HAS HAD A COMPLETE RESTORATION. THE FRAME HAS BEEN PAINTED BLACK AND THE UNDESIDE IS ALL PAINTED THE BODY COLOR RED IT LOOKS AS GOOD AS THE TOP OF THE CAR. THE BODY IS VERY STRAIGHT AND THE CAR SHOWS NO EVIDENCE OF EVER HAVING ANY RUST ISSUES. THE TRIM AND BUMPERS ARE ALL REAL NICE AND SO ARE THE WINDOWS. THE 327 DOUBLE HUMP HEAD MOTOR IS CLEAN ENOUGH TO EAT OFF OF AND IT SITS IN AN IMMACULATE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND IT RUNS AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS. THE COLOR COMBO IS THE BEST YOU COULD EVER ASK TO HAVE RED ON RED WITH A WHITE CONVERTIBLE TOP IT JUST DON’T GET ANY BETTER. THE INTERIOR IS IN GREAT CONDITION AND IS ALSO VERY CLEAN. THE TRUNK IS FINISHED AND HAS THE CHEVY BOW TIE INSCRIPTED IN IT. THE WHITE CONVERTIBLE TOP IS A POWER TOP AND WORKS LIKE NEW. THE WIDE WHITE RADIAL TIRES AND HUBCAPS REALLY LOOK GREAT WITH THE REAR SKIRTS. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES DOWN THE ROAD LIKE A NEW CAR AND IS A BLAST TO DRIVE. THERE ISN’T A WHOLE LOT MORE TO SAY ABOUT THE CAR I THINK THE PICTURES TELL THE STORY. Bob Lutz says Tesla remains 'fringe' brand

We've said it before, we'll said it again: Bob Lutz gives great quotes. From his toilet-themed opinion of global warming to Toyota's deity status, the man knows how to get your attention. His latest? Saying that Tesla Motors is and will remain a fringe brand. Take that, Tesla fanbois. This, of course, is the same fringe company that prompted Lutz and his former colleagues at General Motors to start working on the Chevy Volt around eight years ago. The same fringe company that has easily outsold the similarly priced (but don't call it a competitor) Cadillac ELR with its Model S. Lutz did clarify that the fringe status will only last until Tesla comes out with a mass-market electric vehicle that has a range of 200 to 300 miles. Lutz was on CNBC talking about the TSLA stock's recent performance, and he pointed out that even Tesla CEO Elon Musk says that the California automaker's stock is overvalued these days. Despite its prevalence around these parts, Tesla is not yet a household brand. But the company is working hard to get a cheaper, long-range EV to market in the not-too-distant future, so this fringe thing may not last much longer than that show Fringe did. First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Buick takes top spot in 2022 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study

People, economies, and supply chains weren't the only things continuing to get sick over the past year. The 2022 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study (IQS) is out, showing the average rate of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100) during the first 90 days of ownership increased overall. The average figure for the 32 ranked manufacturers in 2020 was about 166 problems per 100 vehicles. In the 2021 IQS, that dropped to an average of 162. This year, the average jumps to 180 problems. J.D. Power says that figure is a record high over the 36-year history of the study. Buick leapt to the top of the rankings this year with the fewest issues, at 139 problems per 100 vehicles in the first 100 days of ownership. After Dodge became the first American automaker to lead the IQS in 2020, followed by Ram in 2021, this year marks a three-peat for U.S. carmakers. Dodge took second this year at 143 PP100, Chevrolet third with 147 PP100, Genesis the first luxury maker on the chart in fourth with 156 PP100. Between February and May, this year's study gathered responses to 223 questions from more than 84,000 new 2022-model-year car owners and lessees. The questions are designed to zero in on real-world problems new owners encounter with nine categories of vehicle features: Infotainment; features, controls and displays; exterior; driving assistance; interior; powertrain; seats; driving experience; and climate. As has been the case in the past few year, infotainment has proved to be the most problematic bugbear making scores worse. Considering features individually, six of 10 of the worst problem areas dealt with infotainment, causing infotainment's score of 45 PP100 to be 19.5 PP100 worse than the second-placed feature. Consumers ranked getting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to connect reliably as the most troublesome.  GM didn't just score with Buick, which was one of only nine of the 33 ranked brands to show improvement this year. The conglomerate earned first place with the fewest PP100 among all the automaker groups, and scored the most model-level awards with nine, ahead of BMW with eight and Hyundai Group with three.  This year's study again showed a gap between luxury and mass-market makers, thought to be down to the amount of tech in luxury vehicles that consumers aren't properly informed about or that doesn't act as expected — that latter issue exacerbated by the chip shortage.
