Hi i have a 1993 chevy cargo van that RUNS ON PROPANE I bought it from our local auction a couple months ago. This van will be sold with no reserve to the highest bidder. There will be no warranty's expressed or implied so please ask all the questions you need to and look at the pictures closely before bidding. This Van would be perfect for somebody who has a business where they travel. The entire back end is full of shelves and cupboards, perfect for a carpenter, plumber, traveling sales agent, or many other options for use!!! The tires are half tread, the alignment is great, it does not pull to the left or right at all, the brakes work properly and are in good condition, All lights are in good working order. There are extra rear taillights and extra side marker lights. The miles on this van are under 70,000 and that is the original mileage!! THIS VAN RUNS ONLY ON PROPANE! There is no alternative fuel option. I think its got a 40lb fuel tank im not totally sure I haven't run it out of fuel yet, but I have put fuel in it and its cheaper than gasoline $2.00 to $2.50 a gallon!! I live in appleton and can get propane at just about any regular gas station that has a propane tank, but if you live some where your not sure where u can get it make sure its like filling up a propane fuel tank for a forklift. This van runs really good I have driven it from milwaukee to appleton back and forth so far and haven't had any problems with it. The buyer will be taking care of all shipping costs and preparations. Item must be paid for within 72 hours of the end of the auction and must be paid only by paypal or in cash or I will relist the item. I WILL NOT ACCEPT CHECKS! Surprise! GM putting aluminum in next-gen pickups
Wed, Aug 5 2015Last month, General Motors launched a series of ads touting the benefits of steel over aluminum – specifically, with regard to the Chevy Silverado versus the Ford F-150. (Kind of. We're not sure what a grizzly bear has to do with anything.) We took issue with the ads, with editor in chief Mike Austin saying they "reek of insecurity, and distract from the Silverado's strengths that could be used for positive advertising." But what bothers us more, is that yet another report surfaced claiming anti-aluminum GM will indeed use the weight-saving material in its next-generation fullsize trucks. On Tuesday, GM announced a $877-million investment for its truck plant in Flint, MI. But Reuters says that huge overhaul is because the trucks will use "substantially different equipment than the tools GM uses today." The report specifically states, "People familiar with the company's plans say GM's next-generation pickups and SUVs will make use of various materials, including aluminum and lightweight steel, to shed weight and gain fuel efficiency to meet tougher federal standards." The Silverado already uses a few aluminum components in the engine and hood, and if more widespread use will help GM build its best fullsize trucks ever, then that's great. Honestly, we have no reason to doubt that aluminum will be used in the next Silverado and GMC Sierra. We just hope GM remembers that nothing is ever truly deleted from the bowels of the Internet when it launches the subsequent "look how great aluminum is!" campaign. Corvette Stolen In Detroit Returned To Owner After 33 Years
Wed, Jun 25 2014A Detroit man had his stolen Corvette returned 33 years after it disappeared while parked on one of Detroit's main drags, according to ABC 7. The last time George Talley saw his 1979 Corvette was on a July day in 1981, when it disappeared from its parking spot on Jefferson Avenue in Detroit. He had given up hope of ever seeing his car again, until a phone call from AAA brought his sporty ride home. Authorities had come across a Corvette with a questionable VIN in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. When they ran the number Talley's stolen car report came up. The car is still in pretty good shape and only has 47,000 miles on the odometer. Talley wasn't sure how he could get the car back home, but General Motors stepped in and agreed to cover the cost of bringing the 'Vette home. Talley has always had a passion for Detroit-made muscle cars. "I've always liked Corvettes. It was attractive. The ladies like 'em," Talley told ABC 7.
GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue
Wed, 14 Nov 2012General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.
