The rear sliding door (near the bottom) was hit by a taxi cab, and it is dented. I took off a side mirror whenever i purchased the truck, and cold welded the holes, and painted over and clear-coated it (this is on the drivers far rear of the truck, and the immediate top piece. Basically, I just wanted it to be water-proof, and to not rust. The paint does not match perfectly. I put rustoleum rust preventer down, before I painted and then clear-coated.To the best of my knowledge, the truck is in excellent mechanical working condition (see description for listing of mechanical maintenance/improvement items performed).Sale is: AS IS"

I have for sale a 2006 Chevy Express Cargo AWD. It has no windows in the rear area (great for work), and it is all white. It has 80k miles on it! I used this truck to haul dirtbikes /quads and no longer have this need.

The truck is in very good mechanical state. It has new serpentine belt (goodyear gatorback), new Dayco AC belt, new transmission cooler lines, rear transmission case oil replaced with synthetic, pan dropped on transmission and oil just changed, mass airflow sensor changed with GM OEM part, back brake plates and emergency brake just replaced, cargo bulkhead divider taken out and painted, new rear cargo mat and pad, A/C works and was recently recharged, mobile 1 oil and filter change recently performed, belt tensioner pulley and idler pulley (GM OEM) were replaced. The truck has BABACO high security locks on it, and I have 2 duplicate keys to give you (the cargo area is like a vault). I also replaced the headlight control switch with an OEM part.

DISCLOSURE: The truck has some minor dents throughout the body, and it does have some bigger dents in the front and back bumpers which are metal. I put rustoleum rust preventer down, before I painted and then clear-coated.

I am an engineer who takes good care of my stuff. I like the truck, but it just basically sits there, so I am going to sell it.

There is a lien on this truck, so I would expect to go to bank with buyer, and get money to give to bank for payoff. Seller and I would sign a bill of sale, and this would need to be in front of a notary. Once I got title from bank, buyer could pick up truck

Thanks

2016 Chevy Volt will have more EV range, bigger battery

Tue, Oct 28 2014

Meet the new Volt, not the same as the old Volt. That appears to be the story when General Motors introduces the 2016 Chevy Volt at the Detroit Auto Show in January. Today we're getting some more details on the guts of the new plug-in hybrid, and it turns out they're going to be much improved from the current Volt, which first went on sale at the end of 2010. Sure, the first-gen Volt did get some improvements along the way (a slightly larger battery pack, lane departure warnings) but the new Volt – which will go on sale in the second half of 2015 – marks the first time GM has been able to return to the drawing board and really make the improvements that its customers want. That's how Larry Nitz, GM's executive director of vehicle electrification explained it to AutoblogGreen today when explaining the all-new Voltec extended range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrain. "In the Gen 2 is we gave the engine a little more power, a little more torque, a little more displacement, more capability." – Larry Nitz Nitz said that the new Volt will be better in almost every sense: a bigger battery, longer EV-only range, 20 percent better acceleration in the low speed range and higher overall efficiency. This is due, in part, to the Volt's two motors being able to both act as generators and power the car. As we noted this morning, the 2016 Volt will use a larger, 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a version of which is already used in the Chinese-market Cruze. Nitz said that this has a number of benefits, including more power and quieter operation. "Some people would say, why did you make [the first-gen engine] so big. I would say, why did you make it so small?" he said. "It works good, our customers love it, but the reality is that if you go a little bit off and use the car a little harder, you can get the engine to need to operate at a higher speed. In an EV, that's quite noticeable. So, what we did in the Gen 2 is we gave the engine a little more power, a little more torque, a little more displacement, more capability and what it has marginally enabled is not only is it more efficient but it's also quieter." Nitz wouldn't talk about how the new powertrain might affect the two other products that use the Volt's underpinnings – the Cadillac ELR and the Opel Ampera – but if you've got a quieter option, we assume that's something ELR drivers would enjoy. But that's a story for another day.

Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.
