Car has power windows, pdl, tilt wheel,A/C,AM/FM,CD stereo with remote, 4 spkrs (2 in dash 2 behind curtain) this car is pretty close to being new from front to back.I have spent over $12,000 in this car restoring it in parts and materials alone not including labor.  I have most of the receipts, I misplaced a few but will try to list what has been done to this car.

Mechanical:  new GM crate motor 350/350 horse  cam & lifters, new edelbrock performance RPM intake w/endurashine,new edelbrock 600 cfm carb w/electric choke and A/C solenoid and edelbrock chrome valve covers and air cleaner, chrome alternator and brackets, new CARQUEST battery and custom made battery cables, transmission has all new seals and gaskets installed, tranny shop said it looked great inside,  new hurst shifter, new steering gear and p/s hoses, new ball joints and control arm bushings, idler arm, pitman arm, sway bar bushings in front of car, added rear sway bar to car, Gabriel red rider shocks in front, Gabriel airshocks in rear (car came factory with rear airshocks) new all aluminum radiator and new water pump, A/C system new condenser, accumulator, orfice tube, hoses, compressor was replaced 3 yrs ago, A/C works great.

Interior:  new carpet complete front to back including curtain behind the seat, sound deadner was applied to the floor before jute and carpet were installed, new seal plates were installed at same time, new headliner, seat recovered, new dash bezel and cover, new door panels and arm rest pads, new stereo system, new steering wheel, new heater and A/C control panel, new bulbs thru out cabin and dash, new fuel gauge and sending unit as well as a new gas tank.

Body:  new hood, new R/F fender, new tailgate, new bumpers F &R,new bed corner and tailgate moulding, new chrome grille and bezels, all emblems were removed and painted on underneath the clear just like stripes on hood, car is very straight and slick, its not a show car although people say it is, but I have high standards since I do the work myself. The car does draw attention everywhere we drive it. This was a 98% rustfree car to begin with, only had a small spot about the size of a quarter in the bed that was surface rust and was spot blasted and treated before anything else was done.  The car has custom dual exhaust w/original manifolds, no headers,no cats, has a deep mellow sound not too loud.  The wheels are new American Racing Hopster polished 17 x 7 on the front, 17 x 8 on the rear, the tires are Nito (235/45/17 front: 255/45/17 rear) the color is butternut yellow w/black SS stripes on the hood, frame was painted with pore 15 black epoxy paint.  new windshield and driver side glass, all new weather stripping.

I am sure I am forgetting a lot that has been done but if you have any questions please email me.  I have owned this car since 2008 and have enjoyed it, but I have a new project so this one has to go to a new home. The car is fun and dependable.  It was originally two tone gold on top and brown at the bottom, but was completely repainted except for the inside floor pans, they are still original color. All receipts for parts and materials will go w/the car, the ones I have total up to almost $12,000 and that is just parts, doesn't include any labor. Thanks For Looking..

The only problem I know to exist with the car is the oil gauge will stick occasionally but starts back to working... the back glass has a rattle if you hit a bump or rough road.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray priced from $51,995*

Fri, 26 Apr 2013

After months of speculation, Chevrolet has finally revealed the official starting price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The base MSRP for the 450-horsepower Stingray Coupe will be $51,995, while the Stingray Convertible will go for $56,995 (*both prices include a $995 destination fee). This means that the price increase from 2013 to 2014 is just $1,400 for the coupe and $2,395 for the convertible - pretty modest increases considering the upgrade in specifications. Of course, neither price accounts for the sort of dealer markup that might grace early C7 window stickers, especially since less than a third of all Chevrolet dealers will be allocated Corvette models to sell at the car's launch.
Now, these prices are for the base car, so if you're wondering how much a fully loaded Stingray will run, Chevy has given us a good indication of that as well. The coupe we saw on display at the Detroit Auto Show (shown above), for example, would run $73,360 including options such as the $2,800 Z51 Performance Package, $2,495 competition sport seats and the $1,795 Magnetic Ride Control option - just to name a few. Stepping up to the 3LT trim level that brings a full leather interior will run an extra $8,005 over the base price.
While $20,000 in options may seem like a lot, this "as-tested" price still has the C7 competitively priced against rival coupes like the Porsche 911 and Nissan GT-R. Speaking of price comparisons, Chevrolet also points out that the C7 Stingray Z51 costs $2,200 less than the C6 Grand Sport while delivering better acceleration (0-60 mph in less than four seconds) and improved track performance (including more than 1 g in cornering).

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.

Want a V8 on the cheap? Buy a work truck

Thu, Aug 3 2017

In case you didn't notice, V8 cars have gotten pretty expensive. If you want a modern muscle car like the Dodge Challenger R/T, Ford Mustang GT, or Chevy Camaro SS, you'll need between $34,000 and $38,000 for a stripped out example of one. The cheapest of those is the Challenger, and the priciest is the Camaro. These are also the cheapest V8 cars the companies offer. But if you absolutely have to have a V8 for less, there is an option, work trucks. As it turns out, all of the Big Three offer their most basic work trucks with V8s. And because they're so basic, they're pretty affordable, especially when sticking with the standard two-wheel drive. A Ram 1500 Tradesman with a V8 can be had for as little as $29,840, which is a little more than $4,000 less than a Challenger R/T. For a bit more at $30,275, you can have a Chevy Silverado W/T, almost $8,000 less than a Camaro SS. The most expensive is the V8 Ford F-150 starts at a starting price of $30,670, which is a bit over $5,000 less than the Mustang. Of course you'll be in an ultra bare bones vehicle with few comforts, and the price will go up if you add stuff, but we're bargain hunting here, and sacrifices are sometimes necessary. Besides, what you lose in comfort, you gain in loads of cargo space and towing (try to look at the bright side). Also, as a side note, all three trucks are available with optional electronic locking rear differentials. At the discounted price of these trucks, you still get a heaping helping of power. The most potent of the trio is the Ram 1500 Tradesman with 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque generated by a 5.7-liter V8. Compared with the Challenger R/T, the Ram is up by 20 horsepower and they're tied for torque. The value proposition is even more stark between the two vehicles when looking at the price per horsepower. Each pony in the Ram costs $75.54, while the Challenger charges you $90.91. The Challenger is also more expensive per horsepower than its close competitors. The F-150's 5.0-liter V8 is just barely behind the Ram with 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. That's still more power than the Challenger, and it matches the torque of the 2017 Mustang GT. On the down side, it still would be down 20 horsepower on that same 2017 Mustang, and it's behind by 60 horsepower and 20 pound-feet on the new 2018 Mustang GT. The F-150 also just edges out the Mustang in the dollar per horsepower measure.
