This El Camino is in great condition with a clean title, original 350 small block engine with 39,400 miles on the odometer. The interior has been professionally reupholstered and upgraded with a new stereo system (CD player + AUX for mp3 players). The car has the original automatic 4-speed Turbo Fire transmission, OE 4-barrel Rochester carburetor, dual exhaust out the side, brand new BF Goodrich tires with full size Cobra GT spare in back and a custom convertible bed cover with Rhino lined bed. Brand new Accel 8.00 mm plug wires, new plugs, new points, new Accel distributor cap and rotor, and a new ignition coil. New front disk brakes with new rotors and bearings; runs on full synthetic oil. The car has been well maintained and protected; a custom car cover (purchased new for $200 in May of 2014) will be included. This car is a strong runner and draws a lot of attention. Cons: carb could be tuned, slight paint discoloration on drivers side rear fender, windshield washer motor is out of commission (probably an easy fix). This El Camino has NO RUST and could easily become a show car with time and TLC. |

Watch Evo pick its 2015 Car of the Year in this epic video
Mon, Dec 7 2015With just a few days left in 2015, it's the perfect time to check out Evo's annual Car of the Year test to determine the greatest performance vehicle of the last 12 months. The writers' picks for the 11 finalists spanned a breadth of engaging models and included: Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Seat Leon Cupra Sub8, McLaren 675LT, Porsche 991 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayman GT4, Honda Civic Type R, Ferrari 488 GTB, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Lotus Evora 400, and Mercedes-AMG GT S. For the venue to test the mettle of these performance machines, Evo stuck close to home this year and visited the twisting roads at the beautiful north coast of Scotland. Racing brothers Marino and Dario Franchitti also came along for the ride to provide two more voices in the competitive challenge to determine a winner. Evo's video explains why each model deserves to be among such rarified company but doesn't gloss over their faults either. There can be only one winner, though. New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette
Mon, 04 Feb 2013If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.
