1971 SS396 El Camino ,this is the real deal= Red with Black racing stripes,Features= working Cow Induction,SS package with 396 Engine, Bucket seats, Air Conditioning,Power Steering, Sony radio with cassette player.12 bolt poss traction rear end, 400 turbo transmission,Power Steering, Power Brakes, This is excellent paint with only minor flaws,Bed paint good with tie downs ,Chrome is all excellent,runs great, and transmission works fine.This is a 1971 that was restored about 15 years ago and has been garaged since and only driven about every 4 months.If you are an El Camino fan you need this car/truck This auto is for sale local so auction maybe ended at anytime. This is not a show car can be with little effort, it is a 8 out of 10.there is no rust and the transmission and engine are fine. The car is in Inman SC with my son he drove it back to his house at Easter 500 miles no problems.He thought he had a buyer that ended up no money so was put on ebay. I have no proof of the numbers to prove the SS396 original but I will get cow tag numbers and post.The air has been switched over.Continue to ask questions and I will try to answer. 2020 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra recalled due to faulty brake component
Wed, Mar 11 2020General Motors is recalling 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups to fix a defect in the trucks' brake system. Certain Silverado and Sierra pickups were produced with brake-caliper bolts that were not heat-treated. Without heat-treating, the bolts are weaker than they should be, and there is a risk that they could fail, which would affect the trucks' braking performance, possibly leading to a crash. In total, 20,352 vehicles are affected. Owners of affected trucks will be contacted by GM. Dealers will inspect the bolts and replace those that are defective. Related Video: Â Â Â
GM recalling 135,000 SUVs with plastic jacks that can break
Sat, Jun 19 2021General Motors is recalling 135,400 compact crossovers because their emergency jack can break under load. The problem occurs when the jack — which is plastic — isn't positioned correctly as detailed in the owner's manual. This can cause the jack to fracture. If the jack breaks and the vehicle collapses, there's a risk of injury or death, according to an NHTSA recall alert. The recall involves the 2020-22 Buick Encore GX and 2021-22 Chevrolet Trailblazer. A GM test driver discovered the problem when he broke a jack during a durability test on a Trailblazer. GM started investigating in April and found 21 claims of jack failures, including one reported injury. "This jack design may not be sufficiently robust against fractures if improperly or incorrectly positioned on the vehicle frame by the user," a NHTSA safety report said.
