Up for bids is a 1965 Chevy Elcamino project car . This Elcamino was being worked on or restored by a gentleman but he passed away before getting to finish it. He had done lots of work to this car and as far as the body goes its pretty much finished except for final sanding etc. This Elcamino is a very solid car. The car has had its frame plated anywhere it may have been soft and it was done right and then undercoated to protect it. The Elcamino also has new floors put it and they have been welded solid, all the way around them as they should be, not just spot welded. The car has also had new quarter panels welded in. The inner and outer rocker panels are all solid also. You can put a magnet anywhere on this car and it will stick so that tells you theres not a lot of filler. The fenders are good, doors are solid except for a small place on the inside corner of one of them, think theres a pic of it. The doors are very good on the bottoms. There is no hood for this car, we couldn't find it when we were gathering all the parts up from the garage he had it stored in. It was in a garage,NOT stored outside. This guy had big plans for this car and was going about it in the right way. The tailgate has a couple small dents in the outer skin, nothing major and theres no rust on the lower part or inside of it. There has been a new storage box installed, the one under the front bed floor cover and they did a great job on it. The bed floor is very solid also. The frame area in the engine compartment and the fire wall has been painted and looks fairly good. This is a manual steering, non ac car. The pic shows only 3 rally wheels on it but I do have the 4th one. There are some pics showing all the small parts, interior pieces and trim that I have. There are some pieces missing and some that's there is good and some not so good. If its not in the pics I don't have it. The bumpers are restorable or put them on as is for a daily driver. As you can see there is no engine or trans although the rear is there as so is the trans crossmember. This is a straight drive car and the pedal is still in the car. The complete body appears to be somewhat ready to block sand and prime. Wouldn't take to long to have it ready for the paint booth. That's about all I know to tell you guys. This is a very, very solid car with all the new parts etc installed. Look over the pics and feel free to ask any questions you may have. If you read this listing and look the pics over good you will know what youre getting. My feedback is well over 500 and all positive so rest asure you dealing with a honest ebayer. You don't get great feedback like that if you lie and cheat people, I tell it like it is. If you have less than 10 positive feedback you must contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid. Also, I reserve the right to end the auction at any time because the car is listed for sale locally. Don't miss out on this great Elcamino project car guys as its had lots of new parts already added on it which will save you time, money, and rust worries. Thanks for looking and good luck should you decide to bid. The car comes with a clear VA title.

GMC Hummer EV SUV first drive, RIP Camaro, Ferrari Roma Spider | Autoblog Podcast # 773
Fri, Mar 24 2023In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by News Editor Joel Stocksdale. They start off with one of the week's biggest official news items — the impending death of the sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro. On the subject of powerful American cars, they pivot to a teaser from Stellantis execs that there are big things ahead for its Dodge Charger SRT Daytona Banshee concept. From there, they look at Ferrari's new topless Roma and then get into Ford's multi-billion-dollar electric vehicle pivot. Speaking of expensive EVs, Joel just got back from driving the new GMC Hummer SUV. He also had the new F-150 Lightning Pro in his driveway, and that's followed by Greg's update on Autoblog's long-term Toyota Sienna. Autoblog Podcast # 773 Get The Podcast Apple Podcasts – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes Spotify – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast on Spotify RSS – Add the Autoblog Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator MP3 – Download the MP3 directly Rundown News Chevrolet Camaro production will officially end after 2024 model year Dodge CEO teases more to come from Charger SRT Daytona Banshee Ferrari Roma Spider returns a front-engined soft top to the lineup Ford Model e losing billions as it says EV unit should be seen as startup What we're driving Ford F-150 Lightning Pro 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV 2023 Toyota Sienna Platinum AWD Feedback Email – Podcast@Autoblog.com Review the show on Apple Podcasts Autoblog is now live on your smart speakers and voice assistants with the audio Autoblog Daily Digest. GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say
Fri, 05 Apr 2013The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
