2011 Chevrolet Cruze Lt Rs Sedan 4-door 1.4l Ecotec Automatic on 2040-cars
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States
Hi everyone, up for sale is a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze 1LT RS 1.4L ECOTEC with automatic transmission. I bought the car in March of 2011; it was the first floor model of the 2011’s at the dealership, and I have pampered it since day one! The reason I have decided to sell is because I am about to head off to graduate school for social work, and I’m in dyer need of getting the funds up to pay for tuition cost. I am a full-time student and work full-time, due to the lack of any additional funds there is still a little left owing on the car as I am still making payments. The car is in perfect condition, fully loaded with automatic start, as the photos depict just exactly how nice it is. Now don’t get me wrong, it has all the signs of being driven over the past 3 years, but like any car, if you drive them, they will acquire a little road character to some degree, but the car has essentially been babied. Since owning the car, the Chevrolet dealership has performed all the routine maintenance from oil changes, tire rotations and or vehicle recalls if needed. I have always been very skeptical of anyone other than a certified Chevrolet Tech even touching it! As far as driving miles, they are mostly just in-town, work, school, and home. I take two trips a year to visit family, but other than that, all the miles are local. The tires still have plenty of life left; as a matter of fact I just had them rotated along with all the regular maintenance performed last month. I am setting the car up as buy it now. I will be completely honest, I will not be making one dime off of this sale and the Ebay fees will be coming out of my pocket. As much as I would like to keep the car, it’s just gotten too tough to hang onto it with my upcoming move and transition. I’ve listed everything that I can think of at the moment,
but if you have any questions regarding something you think of, or if there is any other information you would like from me...please
feel free to shoot me an email so we can arrange a phone meeting, and I will get back to you as soon as I possibly
can! Thank you for your time! |

GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015
Mon, 25 Feb 2013General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.
The USPS needs 180,000 new delivery vehicles, automakers gearing up to bid
Wed, Feb 18 2015Winning the New York City Taxi of Tomorrow tender was a huge prize for Nissan, even though the company is still working through the process of claiming its prize. The United States Postal Service has begun the process to take bids for a new delivery vehicle to replace the all-too-familiar Grumman Long Life Vehicle, and that will be a much larger plum for the automaker who wins it, perhaps worth more than six billion dollars. The Grumman LLV is an aluminum body covering a Chevrolet S-10 pickup chassis and General Motors' Iron Duke four-cylinder engine. The USPS bought them from 1987 to 1994, and the 163,000 of them still in service are a monumental drain on postal resources: they get roughly ten miles to the gallon instead of the quoted 16 mpg, drink up more than $530 million in fuel each year, and their constant repair needs like the balky sliding door and leaky windshields have led the service to increase the annual maintenance budget from $100 million to $500 million. A seat belt is about as modern as it gets for safety technology, and the USPS says that assuming things stay the same, it can't afford to run them beyond 2017. Last year it put out two triage requests for proposals seeking 10,000 new chassis and drivetrains for the Grumman and 10,000 new vehicles. The LLV is also too small for the modern mail system in which package delivery is growing and letter delivery is declining. The service says it doesn't have a fixed idea of the ideal "next-generation delivery vehicles," but it listed a number of requirements in its initial request and is open to any proposal. Carriers have some suggestions, though, saying they want better cupholders, sun visors that they can stuff letters behind, a driver's compartment free of slits that can swallow mail, and a backup camera. The request for information sent to automakers pegs the tender at 180,000 vehicles that would cost between $25,000 and $35,000 apiece, and it will hold a conference on February 18 to answer questions about the contract. GM is the only domestic maker to avow an interest, while Ford and Fiat-Chrysler have remained cagey. Yet with a possible $6.3 billion up for grabs and some new vans for sale that would be advertised on every block in the country, we have a feeling everyone will be listening closely come February 18. We also have a feeling the LeMons series is going to be flooded with Grummans come 2017. News Source: Wall Street Journal, Automotive News - sub.
Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
