Highest optioned Callaway I've seen in a while. The order sheet from Callaway ranges from $22,000 -$45,000....so you have to be careful when pricing these cars. Options include: $3500 Alacantra Steering Wheel, Chrome plated supercharger, and the Callaway OZ chrome wheel/tire package ($6500 calloway option). The Kicker....$5000 in aftermarket exterior/wheels: Matching (to interior) ZR1 carbon fiber side skirts, Calloway front lip spoiler, Blacked out lights/side lights throughout. 2 sets of wheels- Callaway wheels/ tires + plus OEM black ZR1 wheels that I will include ($1000 value). Keep both or figure out which ones you want to keep and sell the other. Currently running the Gloss black ZR1 rims- I included a few pictures of the Chrome Callaway Wheels when the car did not have front lip and side skirts installed. Just FYI ....These are typically priced in between the ZO6 and ZR1. Just bought 2013 F-350 and 2015 45 foot Cyclone 5th wheel.

New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.

Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon get updated tachometers due to graphical error

Sun, Feb 8 2015

After James Bearing bought a Chevrolet Colorado, he noticed a discrepancy between the truck's spec sheet and the truck's tachometer: Chevrolet said 3.6-liter V6 in the little pickup produces 305 horsepower at 6,800 rpm, but the the tachometer indicates a redline at 6,500 rpm. So either he wasn't making as much power as he was promised, or the tachometer display was incorrect. Bearing said he asked Chevy about it but got no response. Until now. A General Motors spokesman said the rev limiter is indeed set for 6,800 rpm, but the tach graphics "are slightly off" in the Colorado and the GMC Canyon, and submitted an SAE horsepower certification to back him up. If you're wondering how such a thing got past quality control... well, let's just say you're not alone. GM is going to fix "the graphics on future trucks," which makes it sound like Bearing will just have to learn to live with the indicated redline he's got. He could always pretend he's driving a sleeper, with four more ponies waiting to be unlocked in the danger zone for those who dare. NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
