2014 C7 Corvette Z51, 3lt, Competition Seats, Carbon Dash, Fully Optioned Out!! on 2040-cars
Frederick, Maryland, United States
Up for grabs is my 2014 C7 Corvette Z51 and 3LT equipped Stingray, I absolutely love this car and would not even consider letting it go if it wasn't for my upcoming 2015 Z06 order. You will not find many, if any, other C7's optioned out and in this color combo; the original window sticker was $78.8k... the only way this car would have been more expensive would have been if it was an automatic. I have barely been able to fully enjoy this car but as someone that has owned a quite a few previous C6 Corvettes I can comfortably say that the new platform is leaps and bounds beyond the previous years. For a convertible the car handles better than a C6 coupe and I would even go to the extent of saying that feels faster than my 2013 427. Beyond the performance the creature comforts are and have been a much needed improvement within the Corvette line, but enough of my personal review of the car. This car is absolutely mint condition and I have done a few things to bring the car together a little better than GM did, I installed black emblems all the way around... these are OEM parts that I purchased from GM after delivery, these things are $60 each x 3 emblems (the one inside the car as well). I installed black lug nuts to follow through with the black trim and black emblems, and although it hasn't been photographed since we did it, the front chrome trim in the grill has been blacked out with a black metallic vinyl. I also have had xpel paint protection applied to the headlights. Outside of that the car was lowered on stock bolts and looks as it does in the photos... amazing.
The car is financed and will require payoff to my lender, please understand this process can require a few extra weeks in the transaction process. I will do whatever I can to reduce the turn-around time. Happy bidding, Kevin On Sep-16-14 at 10:07:04 PDT, seller added the following information: ***Myself and the car are located in Raleigh, NC. My apologies, I never updated my ebay account after I moved and it will not allow me to change the location. Kevin |

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again
Wed, 13 Mar 2013One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
8 cars we're most looking forward to driving in 2015
Mon, Jan 5 2015Now that 2014 is officially in the books, it's time to look ahead. And following our list of the cars we liked best last year, we're now setting our sights at the hot new metal that's coming our way in 2015. Some of these, we've already seen. And some are still set to debut during the 2015 auto show season. But these are the machines that keep us going – the things on the horizon that we're particularly stoked to drive, and drive hard. Jeep Renegade Not the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Not the Ford Mustang GT350. Not the new John Cooper Works Mini. Nope, I'm looking forward to the adorable, trail-rated Jeep Renegade. And that's because I really, really, really like our long-term Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I do not, however, care too much for the Cherokee's looks, and I really don't like its $38,059 price tag. The Renegade Trailhawk, meanwhile, promises much of the same rough-and-tumble character as its big brother, but at what we expect will be a more reasonable price (I'm personally wagering on the baby Jeep's off-road model starting at no more than $23,000). With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a nine-speed automatic, it should also be a bit easier to fill than the V6-powered Cherokee. Also, I can't help but love the way the Renegade looks. It's like someone took a Wrangler, squished it by 50 percent and then handed it off to George Clinton for a healthy dose of funk. The interior, with its bright, expressive trims and color schemes should also be a really nice place to spend some time. I'll be attending the Renegade's launch later this month, so I'll have a much shorter wait than my colleagues. Here's hoping the baby Jeep lives up to my expectations. – Brandon Turkus Associate Editor Mazda MX-5 Miata Here's an uncomfortable truth: I'd rather spend a day driving a properly sorted Mazda MX-5 Miata of any generation on a winding road than I would nearly any other vehicle, regardless of power, price or prestige. It's not just that I prize top-down driving and enjoy the Miata's small size because it gives me more road to play with. I just find there's more motoring joy to be had with high-fidelity handling and an uncorrupted car-to-driver communication loop than I do with face-distorting power or grip – let alone valet-stand gravitas. But perhaps most of all, I love Miatas because they can deliver that level of feedback and driver reward at modest speeds that won't put the locals on edge or endanger lives – you can use more of the car more of the time.
Chevy Silverado Midnight Edition, Custom ready to stand out in pickup line
Thu, Feb 12 2015Chevrolet spent its Chicago Auto Show introducing a pair of fullsize pickups that promise image-conscious buyers a truck experience that goes beyond the standard range, with the murdered-out Midnight Edition and the um, not murdered-out, Custom. Let's start with the Custom, which adds 20-inch alloys, as well as chrome bumpers, mirror caps and door handles to the Silverado LS. Available in both V6 and V8 varieties, and with the customer's choice of two- or four-wheel drive, the Silverado Custom is the decidedly mellower example of Chevy's special edition styling. The Midnight Edition, meanwhile, throws subtlety out the window with a menacing set of visual upgrades. Based on the Z71, the Midnight adds 18-inch wheels, a spray-in bedliner and unique Z71 and Bowtie badges, all in black, of course. The front and rear bumpers, headlamp bezels, tow hooks, mirror caps and door handles, are also finished in the stealthy shade. Check out our live images of both special edition trucks, and let us know what you think down in Comments.
