For sale is a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette 50th Anniversary coupe. This car has the 1SC 50th Anniversary Edition Package code. This includes an exterior paint that is a one-year-only Anniversary Red which is a lustrous burgundy with Xirallic aluminum-oxide flakes floating under a special tinted clear-coat. This is complemented by a special Shale interior trim with anniversary badges and cockpit embroidery. The 1SC order code also includes the F55 Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension. This is a novel variable-damper-rate technology that puts the "shock" in shock absorber. The 1SC order code was a $5,000 option.

The car has a CD player, dual climate control, heads-up display, fog lamps and power seats. I am the second owner of this car. The first worked for a automobile dealership in the Dallas, TX area. Both of us are adults and pampered this car. It has been garaged the entire time I have owned it and only taken out on weekends when the weather was nice. The only modificatons include a bolt-on axle back Magnaflow exhaust system and replica triple-chrome plated C5 wheels. I have the original exhaust and 50th anniversary wheels that will go with the car. The car has only 37,028 miles and is immaculate inside and out.

2016 Chevy Volt powertrain video teasers

If there's one thing we've learned about plug-in vehicle fans, you have a thing for seeing your cars get made. The series of videos showing BMW i3 production was strangely popular, as were the shots from inside the VW e-Golf plant. Well, with General Motors pulling the veil off of the 2016 Chevy Volt this week, it's time to take a peek at the production process for that vehicle as well. You're welcome. Up first we've got a clip from CNN Money showing a little bit about how the new Volt's new battery pack and other powertrain components are made. Those of you who are trying to read the lithium tea leaves and see if the new shape reveals that the 2016 Volt will have five seats might want to check it out. Then we've got two clips from GM itself, one showing an animation about the updated Voltec powertrain and another with some B Roll of the old Volt. 2016 Chevy Volt will not need premium gas

Buried in the new technical details of the 2016 Chevy Volt released yesterday was a throwaway line about a small but important change that's due to the new 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The first-gen Volt has always required premium gas but the new powerplant will be happy burning plain old regular. The Volt's chief engineer, Andrew Farah, told AutoblogGreen that the change was due to today's Volt owners explaining they were not happy paying for top-shelf petroleum. "The ability to use regular unleaded was based directly on customer feedback," he said. "Since the range extender is an all-new engine, it was optimized to use regular unleaded at the outset. Using regular fuel will not have effect on vehicle acceleration or other performance factors." As Larry Nitz, GM's executive director of vehicle electrification, told AutoblogGreen yesterday, the new engine is more powerful and quieter than the outgoing 1.4-liter engine that's used in the current Volt. Fuel economy and EV range specs for the next-gen Volt are not expected until the full car is revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
