Relisted due to CL scammers! Do not bid on my auction if you have a feedback score of less than ten (10) without contacting me first or I will remove your bid!

We're trying to buy a house so unfortunately we have to sell our toy.  02 Corvette Convertible in Speedway White with Torch Red Interior. This is not a common color combination and really sets the car apart form all the black and silver ones out there! I have had the car about a year and love driving this bad boy around!  The EBCM has just been replaced, the tranny was replaced about a year ago, new Robbins brand top was just installed (2 mos. ago), new seat leathers and cushions (3 mos. ago), new sun visors, new windshield washer pump, new oil pressure sensor, dash light, mirror and climate control bulbs replaced, AC has just been charged, new steering angle sensor, brake fluid exchange service, lower engine pan gasket replaced, new tire pressure monitors.  The carpets have just been cleaned and the car has just been detailed.  Brand new (unused) Lloyds's black carpet mats! Two sets of keys and remotes. The car did not have the rear center floor stowage cover but I picked up a black one - it just needs to be re-covered in red carpet. When I got the car I was surprised at how nice the interior and body were considering the mileage - it  just needed some maintenance and upkeep.  As you can see, that it is what I have been doing.

The car is clean but does have some wear and tear corresponding to its age.  The pics are nice but the paint really shines in the sun! I think the interior is really clean  (still has original floor mats) but the drivers side armrest is starting to delam.  I was going to try and have it reseated but adjusted the price instead. There are a few marks on the carpet but they are mostly out of sight and it is still in really good shape. The paint is pretty good but does have some scratches and chips. They are not really noticable until you are up close to the car.  The paint on the top of the rear bumper has some stress marks bu tthe paint is not peeling. Lots of tread left on the tires. Brake pads will probably be due to be changed within a year - depending on your driving habits ;). It looks like the PO painted the center caps on the wheels so if it bothers you you could replace them. One of the lug nut covers has gone missing after I just had the tire pressure monitors installed.  I was going to replace them but thought the new owner might want to have chrome or black instead so I will leave that part up to you. Every once and a while the key will have a "sweet spot" but I just turn the key over and it works fine. The car drives properly and everything works the way it is supposed to - even the retractable headlights and power antenna.

The car has the following option codes:  Z51 - Performance Handling Package, UV6 - Head Up Display, G92 - 3.15 Performance Axle Ratio, AG2 - Six Way Power Passenger Seat, 1SC - Corvette Convertible Preferred Equipment Group 2 (Dual Zone AC, Fog Lamps, Memory Package, Adjustable Sport Bucket Seats, Twilight Sentinel, Power Telescoping and Manual Tilt Steering Column), UZ6 - Bose Speaker & Amplifier System, FE3 - Sport Suspension, AK5 - Driver and Passenger Air Bags.

Great car at a reasonable price.  I am not a mechanic but please feel free to ask any questions.  The car car is not perfect  but it is still a nice car and gets a lot of compliments due to its condition and rare color combination. Thank you but I am not looking to trade for anything.  As I stated we are looking to buy a house or else we would not be selling our toy!  I see that the CL scammers have been making their way onto Ebay - please don't waste my time with your scams as I will report you immediately!

Payment will be received in full before the car leaves my home.  I will assist however I can if the car needs shipped but the responsibility will be the buyers.

Thank you for looking and good luck!

9/13/13

I believe that the Autocheck score is artifically low.

I noticed that Autocheck is indicating that there is an "issue" with the mileage.  The PO bought a third party service policy for the car and it appears that those monkeys reported the mileage incorrectly.  While I am sure it is possible to put 10,000 miles on a car in a little less than a month (from 8/11/11 to 9/9/11), it seems highly unlikely. As far as I know, you can not "roll back" a digital odometer. Unfortunately, I have no way of challenging the mileage reported by the service contract provider on 8/11/11, 9/9/11 or 9/26/11 but this is where the "issue" is stemming from.

Also, Autocheck is listing five (5) owners.  I believe that there has only been three (3). The PO moved from CA to TX and had a new title issued.  I had a title issued on 11/16/12, right after I purchased the car.  However, the lien was not properly recorded on the title at that time so I had to have it recorded again on 3/28/13. This makes it appear that the car changed hands when it did not as I have owned the car since 11/06/12. The lien was paid off in August of this year.

All of the Bond cars of 'No Time To Die' (caution for spoilers)

Thu, Sep 30 2021

Note: The following overview of the cars in No Time To Die contains spoilers. Read at your own risk, or come back after seeing the film to make sure you caught everything.   No Time To Die picks up right around where Spectre leaves us. James Bond (Daniel Craig) and Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux) are driving along in Bond’s restored and iconic DB5 in Matera, Italy. Things donÂ’t stay all that cheery for long in picturesque Matera, though. As is tradition in Bond films, the first car chase hits us with an explosion of action in what's a super-long opening scene. Fourth-gen Maserati Quattroporte: The baddies in the beginning are driving a Maserati and chasing after Bond in the DB5. Specifically, theyÂ’re in a fourth-gen Quattroporte, which feels right for a chase scene in Italy. Its squared-off looks are mean enough, and its Italian growl is a good background soundtrack to the DB5Â’s inline-six. In addition to the Quattroporte, the chase scene in Matera is home to a couple of the best stunts of the entire movie, including the arch jump done with a Triumph motorcycle seen in trailers — Matera is extremely hilly. Eventually, Bond and Swann find themselves in the DB5 again together, which is where the famous gatling gun scene from the trailer commences, but not before the bulletproof windows and body of the DB5 are thoroughly tested. RIP to the first-gen Range Rover Classics and Jaguar XFs that joined the Maserati in pursuit of Bond (here's a list of other Bond cars over the years). As the DB5 escape scene concludes, we catch a glimpse of what appears to be a Ferrari from the 1970s. However, the view was far enough away that weÂ’ll need a second look to be sure of the exact model. Land Rover Series III: Next time we see Bond, heÂ’s fishing in Jamaica and driving around a blue Land Rover Series III. ItÂ’s yet another of the many Land Rover products featured throughout the film, and unlike most of BondÂ’s Aston Martins, this one doesnÂ’t seem to have any unique features. The other intriguing vehicle out of Jamaica? An old Chevrolet Bel-Air expertly and effectively piloted by Bond newcomer, Ana de Armas. Next up, we get a few shots of the new and still-not-for-sale Aston Martin Valhalla mid-engine supercar (also seen in trailers). BondÂ’s old boss M is in the scene which appears to have been shot in some secret wind tunnel of sorts. Much to our dismay, nobody ends up driving the Valhalla in the film. Could it be a teaser for what the next 007Â’s car is?

Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica

Fri, 03 Aug 2012

If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.

2020 Chevy Trax spied sporting design cues from the new Blazer

Wed, Oct 3 2018

We saw spy shots in August for what we thought was either a redesigned Chevrolet Trax or new GMC subcompact crossover. At the time we were leaning Chevy. But after this latest batch of spy shots taken near GM's proving grounds, we're now thinking this one is the Trax replacement and the other one was a GMC. For one, the thin row of LEDs looks remarkably similar to the 2019 Chevy Blazer's LED strip. The additional light slightly below that is similar to the Blazer as well, leading us to believe that the next Trax will have a Blazer-esque front end. At first glance, this vehicle looks slightly larger than today's Trax with a much brawnier shape than the current blob-like design. The rear roof cladding could be hiding the same sloped rear window with spoiler hangover we see on the Blazer. Circling back to the other small GM crossover we caught testing, this one doesn't have those Blazer elements. The curved windshield and sloping roof are like those of the GMC Terrain, as are the horizontal grille bars. By contrast, the above car has a straighter windshield and a roof shaped more like the Blazer. One element that does seem to diverge from the new Blazer are the taillights, but they don't exactly look production-ready anyway. If we're right about this being the next Trax (and we're pretty sure we are) then this looks to be a more distinctive vehicle than what it will replace. The mirrors have left their awkward spot on the doors, and it's shaping up to be a much sportier looking crossover as a whole. This vehicle will most likely end up being a 2020 model year car, and if so, we would expect to see undisguised photos of both it and the assumed GMC version next year.
