Rust Free
59,000 Original Miles!!
This beautiful car was just purchased from the second owner and has averaged 4,000 miles per year since new.
Although the car has 59,000 actual miles, it has always been garaged, and it looks like brand new. The tires are 275/40R18's on the rear and 245/45R17's on the front they are not new, but have 80% tread remaining, and have passed the state inspection.
The paint shines nicely and there is absolutely no rust anywhere. There are no dents or scratches and there has been no other repair work done that I can see anywhere.
The interior shows no signs of wear on the leather seats which is a miracle for this age of car. The carpet is good with no stains, the door panels are as new and the dash has no cracks.
The 5.7 litre V8 engine has plenty of "lay you back in the seat" power and there are no knocks or rattles when running. It starts right up and does not smoke when starting it or when driving. You can burn the tires at will so be careful if the pavement is damp at all!The manual transmission works perfectly through all the gears.
The glass is all good with 2 very minor chips in the windshield that need no attention, and are not in your view.
I am trying to find something wrong with the car so that there are no surprises when you get it, but it is so clean and so near perfect that I can't find anything to tell you. There may be a few very small gravel chips on the front but they are so minor that they are not worth mentioning.
Over the years, we have personally owned over 25 Vettes, and I am very picky about them. This one is as beautiful as they come.
We are selling the car at NO RESERVE, so there will be a new owner at the end of the auction. We have sold cars before the end of the auction from time to time so if you can't wait til the end, call us at 402-480-0346 and we may make a deal.
We are located 60 miles southwest of Omaha Nebraska, or 20 miles south of Lincoln. Feel free to stop and take a look before you bid. We are happy to meet you at either airport so you can drive it home. You need not be afraid to take it across country.
If you decide to have it shipped, we have shipped cars all over the world and get some great shipping rates. Let us know if we can give you a shipping estimate.
We require a $500 paypal or credit card deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction, and payment in full within 3 days by cashiers check or bank wire.
The car is a real time piece, but since it is 13 years old, it is being sold as is with no written, or expressed warranty. We have over 8,800 positive feedbacks so you can be certain that we are describing it to our best ability.
Good Luck bidding!

Meet Alex Archer, the engineer behind GM's power-sliding center console
Sat, Feb 15 2020In 2009, a GM manager complained to a 59-year-old GM technician about the hassle of retrieving items from a pickup truck bed after driving shifted the cargo. In two days, the tech had come up with the ideas that, ten years later, would debut as the MultiPro tailgate. The engineering teams kept the tailgate secret in part by hiding mock-ups in a locked storage closet in GM's Vehicle Engineering Center in Warren Michigan for two years. A piece in the Detroit Free Press reveals that another storage closet in Warren would play the same role in a different cloak-and-dagger operation, this time for the power-sliding center console in GM's new full-sized SUVs. During a meeting in early 2017, bosses gave the job of the console's creation to 24-year-old design release engineer Alex Archer, just two years out of Stanford University with a degree in engineering and product design. This time, the catalyst for the feature was an internal GM think tank called co:lab, where employees suggest ideas. Execs gave Archer the task because "They needed someone willing to ask a lot of questions," her 36-month mandate to produce a six-way console that could be a standard cubby or a gaping maw able to swallow four gallon jugs or hide a secret compartment. Clearly, she succeeded. It took Archer and the team nine months to devise a prototype, another six months to get the green light for production. As with the tailgate, the team working on the console grew to include designers, production engineers, and suppliers. Archer, now 26, shepherded the process, and her name is on the patent. "It took a ton of people, I'm just somebody who stuck with it the whole time," she said. GM like her work well enough to produce the "Day in the Life" segment above, five months before the world would hear about the console. Archer's path to engineering was as unlikely as getting the job for the console. She had entered Stanford with plans to be a doctor. But an innovation class during her freshman year, and a sophomore summer spent helping her grandfather rebuild a 1937 MG engine recharted her course. Her grandfather told her, "You know, you could be an engineer for a car company." Consumer reaction to Archer's work won't be far off, the SUVs slated to hit dealerships soon. Meanwhile, she's busy on something that could be just as intense as the console: Restoring a 1955 Packard Clipper in her garage. Head to Freep to check out the story of Archer and the console. Chevy Volt 'acceptable,' Nissan Leaf 'poor' in new IIHS safety tests
Thu, Jul 31 2014Ford C-Max Hybrid also scored "acceptable" rating. With US Nissan Leaf sales up almost 30 percent during the first half of the year, the only thing that might be able to stop the battery-electric vehicle is a good, stiff barrier. Unfortunately, thing's aren't always pretty when that happens in the real world, according to new tests from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Things with the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in are a little bit rosier, though. The two plug-in vehicles were part of a batch of a dozen vehicles that just went through the IIHS's "small overlap" test, in which the driver's side front corner of the vehicle is crashed into a rigid barrier at 40 miles per hour. Out of the dozen, only the Mini Cooper Countryman was given a "good" rating. Five vehicles, including the Volt and the Ford C-Max Hybrid, were rated "acceptable," two were "marginal" and two, including the Leaf, were "poor." Plug-in vehicles are unique in the crash-test context because of their relatively large battery sizes. In the Volt's case, the driver had a "low risk" of injury, said the IIHS. But the Leaf's crash substantially pushed back the instrument panel and steering column, creating a scenario where the driver was "likely" to sustain leg injuries. The batteries in both the Leaf and the Volt passed safety tests specifically targeted at things like thermo and electrical properties and overall integrity. "Nissan is proud of the Leaf's 'Good' rating in all other IIHS tests, a 4-star NCAP rating from NHTSA and its IIHS Top Safety Pick rating in all previous years since the car's release," the company said in an e-mail sent to AutoblogGreen. "As for the performance of the 2014 Leaf in the 'small overlap frontal test,' Nissan will continue to review these and other results from the IIHS 'small overlap frontal test' as we seek opportunities for improvement." Check out the IIHS's press release and small car crash-test video footage below. Range of ratings: Small car ratings run the gamut in challenging small overlap front test The Mini Cooper Countryman is the only small car to earn a good rating among the latest group of 12 cars subjected to the Institute's small overlap front crash test. Two electric models and a hybrid also are in the mix, with varied results. The electric-powered Chevrolet Volt (with a gasoline engine "range extender") earns an acceptable rating, while its battery-electric rival, the Nissan Leaf, earns a poor rating.
