2000 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible - Classic Torch Red 6-speed Manual on 2040-cars
Columbus, Ohio, United States
For sale is my 2000 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. As you can see, the car features corvette's classic Torch Red exterior paired with a Light Oak leather trimmed interior. This car has been garage kept its entire life, and is in really excellent condition for its age/mileage. You really have to see the car in person to fully appreciate it and it's details. (Even comes with the original window sticker from the previous owner.) Finally as another plus, in addition to being a very fast car,
you can easily get 30+ mpg when driving this around on the highway! A little about the car:
Added options from the factory:
SCV speed control volume that can adjust the volume of the Bose stereo according to the speed at which you are driving. Memory settings for up to 3 drivers (controls seat and mirror position, temp and radio settings). So you can unlock the car with key 1, and everything will automatically adjust to your liking. A second driver can later unlock the car with key 2, and everything will automatically adjust to their needs etc. The heads up display (HUD) is adjustable in terms of position, brightness, and information displayed. You can choose to have it show the speed only, the tachometer only, or the speed, tach, and additional gauges. Twighlight and parade settings for the lights. Active handling to help keep the car moving in a straight line (can be toggled on or off). Tire pressure monitoring system can tell you the PSI of each tire, and alerts you if any are high or low. Again, this car has some minor flaws, but is in great shape overall.
Car must be picked up in person, cash only please. (The deposit, however, can be made on Paypal.) Feel free to message me with any questions or offers. Thanks for looking! Edward |

Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1
Mon, 13 Jan 2014
The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
Leno drives Ringbrothers' latest, 1966 Chevy Chevelle Recoil
Tue, Mar 3 2015Jay Leno has been checking out quite a few older rides in his garage as of late, but has mixed things up a little this week. Ringbrothers took home an award at the 2014 SEMA Show for the 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle it named Recoil, and now the car has proven it can do more than just look good on Jay Leno's Garage. While the latest guest might look vintage, underneath those classic lines is a thoroughly modern muscle car sporting a claimed 980 horsepower. The heart of this beast is a supercharged LS7 V8 from Wegner Motorsports and a six-speed Tremec manual gearbox. Even with so much power, it can still run on 91-octane pump gas, and when Jay gets on the throttle the result is a wall of sound from the wailing supercharger. Despite the muscle, the Recoil doesn't really scream about its performance aesthetically. The color is a surprisingly plain beige, but the carbon fiber touches and side exhaust certainly indicate that there's something special here. The owner's sole request for the car was to include metal seats, and Ringbrothers provided them with a few bits of leather offering a touch of comfort. After checking the Recoil out from stem to stern, Leno finally gets behind the wheel and treats our ears to pull after pull from that big, supercharged V8.
2016 Chevy Camaro to drop 200 pounds
Mon, Mar 30 2015The sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro makes its grand debut on May 16 at a big celebration on Detroit's Belle Isle. Until then, Chevy's strategy seems to be showing off the pony car's new components piece by piece. With the exhaust headers and front end already on display, the Bowtie is now giving a glimpse at some of the upcoming model's aluminum components. The Camaro is going on a diet for its latest generation, and Chevy claims that the switch to the Alpha platform and other new components shed over 200 pounds compared to the current model. That will put the pony car at around 3,500 pounds. The lower weight will contributes to better fuel economy, quicker acceleration and more direct handling, according to the automaker. Among the changes are aluminum front and rear suspension assemblies (pictured above) that weigh 21 percent less than the current units. Also, Chevy promises in its announcement "links on some models feature an intricate, structurally optimized design made with a rigid composite material that's even lighter than aluminum." In addition to these improved parts, the Camaro uses the lightweight metal for the beam that supports the instrument panel to save 9.7 pounds more. The only two pieces reportedly carrying over to the latest design are Chevy's bowtie and SS badges, and at least one engine in the range is known to be a version of the 6.2-liter LT1 V8. With over a month until the next Camaro's debut, we might get a glimpse of even more of the car's new parts in the coming weeks. Related Video: 2016 Camaro Does More with Less New model is at least 200 pounds lighter than current car 2015-03-30 DETROIT – For the all-new, 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, the team was challenged to improve the handling, acceleration and fuel economy of the award-winning current model. To meet all three objectives, the team focused on a singular mission: reduce mass. By obsessively searching for opportunities to save ounces, the team pared more than 200 pounds off the Camaro compared with the fifth-generation model. As a result, the Camaro does more with less, according to Al Oppenheiser, Camaro chief engineer: "We kept the cornering confidence and control that make the Gen 5 Camaro 1LE so fun to drive, and added a greater sense of agility," he said. "The new Camaro brakes harder, flicks into corners more quickly, and drives out of the corner faster.
