This is a non-smoking, adult owner gem, that has been babied, kept in a garage day / night, and barely in water. It is in outstanding, original condition. It is optioned out with Dual Power Sport Seats, upgraded sound system, but still have the Bose Stereo system, FX3 Suspension, G92 Performance axle, UJ6 low tire pressure, Climate control a/c, D74 Illuminated driver / passenger mirror, K05 Engine oil cooler, B4P Radiator boost fan, V01 Heavy duty radiator, and the glass roof option. It has never been in accident, painted, or modified w/ the exception of the OEM collector / ZR1 style wheels and stainless steel exhaust. For those seeking a Corvette, it is definitely a unique specimen. It is ready for any purpose you want it to serve. I also have the stock wheels, so the buyer can choose either set they want. The Steel Blue Paint shows as that of a always garage kept car. No blemishes, marks, or fade. All of the moldings, handles, window glass, lettering, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in new condition. The wheels show wear and the tires are near new. Never run through an automatic car wash and always hand washed / waxed are a great part as to why it still looks so fabulous. You will get more than a few heads that turn when you drive by. The exterior is a strong 9.75 / 10. On the inside, the Black interior still looks, feels, and shows no hard wear. As you can see in the pics, the sport seats have always been covered and the orig. floor mats show no wear. The door panels, carpeting, dash, center console, faceplates, etc. are not marked up. All of the interior buttons / switches ( power windows, door locks, cruise, and 6 way power sport seats ) work without issue. The sound system is new. The undercarriage is dry and not exposed to the elements. Inside, it is a 9.75 / 10. Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as a "well-oiled" machine should. All of the servicing is up to date - a/c, belts, hoses, fuel injector cleaning, fluids all changed / maintained at the proper intervals, The engine compartment is extra clean, and it performs without hesitation. Of course, the L98 / 250hp. engine has great pick-up, and with the FX3 Suspension / G92 Perf. Axle, you will notice the difference. The brakes have plenty of pad left, and all of the other mechanical functions perform without hesitation. This is a special car that needs to be stored inside and not used as a daily driver.
On Jul-17-13 at 00:34:35 PDT, seller added the following information:
Was informed to day that there were only 556 base coupes built, as 57 of them were ZR1 cars. Now I need to find out how many of the 556 were 6 speeds, and that number will shrink even more.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1
Thu, 28 Feb 2013During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
Before Chevrolet's Redline, there was the Saturn Red Line
Thu, Feb 9 2017While Chevy rolls out Redline special editions across more of the lineup at this year's Chicago Auto Show, we've been eating some 'member berries and started thinking about the last time GM used the term. Back in 2004, Saturn rolled out Red Line (two words) editions of the Ion and Vue. The lineup was joined by the Sky Red Line in 2007, and the second-generation Vue kept the tradition going in 2008. This was in the heady days of the mid-2000s, before the financial crisis and GM's bankruptcy reorganization that saw the end of Saturn. The press release headline for the 2008 Sky is now cringe-worthy: "Hot-selling Sky helps drive Saturn product renaissance." Performance lineups were the hot new thing, as automakers attempted to cash in on the tuner trend popularized by The Fast and the Furious. Chevy had SS models, Pontiac had GXP, and Saturn had Red Line. Across the Detroit Metro area, Dodge had a slew of SRT models, and Ford's Special Vehicle Team brought us the SVT Lightning pickup, the SVT Focus, and a smattering of hopped-up Mustangs. The performance cred of Red Line models varied from car to car. The Ion Red Line shared the same engine as the original Chevy Cobalt SS, a 205-horsepower supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, 65 hp more than stock. Car and Driver tested one with a 0-to-60-mph time of 6.1 seconds and said the Ion "tears down the wall that has separated enthusiasts from the Saturn brand for so long." The Vue Red Line, meanwhile, came with the same optional Honda-sourced 3.5-liter V6 you could get in the regular Vue, and added a stiffer, lower suspension, bigger wheels with more aggressive rubber, and recalibrated steering assist. When the Vue was redesigned for the 2008 model year, the Vue Red Line was a similar proposition. The engine was now from GM, and up 7 horsepower to 257, but you could get it in both Red Line and XE trim. Aside from the tire and suspension upgrades, Red Line models now came with a unique front fascia and rear exhaust cutouts. The most exciting Red Line, of course, was the high-performance version of the Sky roadster, which shared underpinnings with its Pontiac Solstice twin. This model came with GM's hot 2.0-liter Ecotec Turbo, good for 260 horsepower. The extra power was crucial in covering up the Sky's unfortunate manual gearbox ratios, which left the non-turbo model aching for torque in lower gears. As we all know, Saturn was taken by the grim reaper in 2009 after an attempt to sell the brand to the Penske Group.
