I am selling my 1973 Corvette Roadster after many years of enjoyment. This car is an original 454 4 speed roadster.
The car is equipped with LS3 454, 4 speed transmission, hard top and soft top, AM FM factory radio, power steering,
tilt tele steering column, tinted glass, black soft top.
The car was painted about 2 years ago in the original metallic yellow. This is a very rare color. Car was stripped
and blocked 4 times so it is dead straight. 2 stage base coat clear coat done by local body shop. There was no body
work that had to be done, just paint. The rear bumbers were rechromed. All new weatherstripping was installed. The
black soft top is in very good condition and is very tight. The hard top was painted with the car. The hard top
headliner is missing. The headlights work nicely and go up and down as they should.
The interior is very nice. Dash is great, all gauges are crisp and clean. Radio works.Carpet was replaced front and
rear.
The block in the car is not the original one as it had a crack above one of the main bearings. I have the original
block which I have recently been told can be repaired for about $700. The engine compartment is all stock and
original. Intake, carb, exhaust manifolds etc. are all original to the car. The engine has about 10k miles on it
and was rebuilt about 8 years ago. It runs and drives great. The front suspension was rebuilt about a year ago with
all new bushings, ball joints, tie rods, powder coated a arms. Rear suspension is all good. Frame and under
carriage are very clean. The brake calipers have all been replaced with stainless sleeved calipers at same time,
The car has new BF Goodrich TA radials on aluminum alloy wheels. I have the original 15 x 8 rally wheels and tires
that could be substituted if the buyer prefers.

Corvette Stolen In Detroit Returned To Owner After 33 Years

Wed, Jun 25 2014

A Detroit man had his stolen Corvette returned 33 years after it disappeared while parked on one of Detroit's main drags, according to ABC 7. The last time George Talley saw his 1979 Corvette was on a July day in 1981, when it disappeared from its parking spot on Jefferson Avenue in Detroit. He had given up hope of ever seeing his car again, until a phone call from AAA brought his sporty ride home. Authorities had come across a Corvette with a questionable VIN in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. When they ran the number Talley's stolen car report came up. The car is still in pretty good shape and only has 47,000 miles on the odometer. Talley wasn't sure how he could get the car back home, but General Motors stepped in and agreed to cover the cost of bringing the 'Vette home. Talley has always had a passion for Detroit-made muscle cars. "I've always liked Corvettes. It was attractive. The ladies like 'em," Talley told ABC 7.

GM files to trademark name Badlands

Mon, Feb 23 2015

If you've been hoping for General Motors to come out swinging at the Ford F-150 Raptor, we've had some tantalizing news for you of late. Last month we brought you a report that indicated GM has trademarked the name "Z71 Trail Boss," suggesting a potential hardcore off-roader. Now it seems the General has filed for a potentially even better name. That name, as our friends over at GM Authority have discovered, is "Badlands." The application, filed on February 16, indicates that it's for a truck, but of course it doesn't specify just what form it would take... or for that matter, under which division it would fall. So we could, in theory, be looking at the nameplate for a Raptor rival from Chevy or GMC (like the 2011 Sierra All Terrain HD concept pictured here), or for some other trim level, a concept truck, a special edition... just about anything. Heck, it could be for a Vauxhall, Opel or Holden for all we know at this point. Or GM could choose not to use it on anything at all, but here's hoping it'll emerge as something awesome in US showrooms sometime soon.
