It is celebrating its 60th year of continuous production with the 2013 models already arriving at dealerships around the country! This is a magnificent feat no other American automobile manufacture can match! This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stringray Coupe comes beautifully finished in Can-Am White with Black interior and equipped with a fresh, professionally built 383ci Stroker V8 engine. The incredible power produced from this engine is transplanted to the ground via 4-speed manual transmission and original Corvette IRS rear end fitted with 3.08 Posi-Traction gearing! The motor consists of new forged 12.5:1 compression domed pistons, Lunati Voodoo hydraulic 530 lift camshaft, all new lifters & pushrods, aluminum heads, aluminum valve covers, all new bearings, aluminum 4-row radiator, ceramic-coated headers with FlowMaster chambered mufflers, nicely detailed engine compartment with billet pulleys, Edelbrock Victor Jr aluminum intake, Holley 750cfm dual feed carburetor, HEI ignition, and more! Additional features include power 4-wheel disc brakes, tilt & telescopic steering wheel, power windows, L88 style big block hood, folding Corvette seats, Auto Meter sport comp tachometer, and so much more! According to the tachometer redline of 6,000 rpm, bolted u-joints at the rear axles, single 3/8” fuel line from the tank, & original factory air conditioning components still visible in the engine compartment, it supports that this example was originally an extremely rare and highly sought after L68 427ci/400hp tri-powered car! The original motor removed for reasons unknown. This poses as a great opportunity to own a fantastic Corvette while having the option of hunting down a correct big block 427 engine, making it worth several times the current market value! Only 2,072 were ever ordered with the 400 horsepower tri-power set-up, and even fewer with factory air conditioning and a 4-speed manual transmission! It’s ready to enjoy for rides around town, and you won’t be disappointed when you hear this Corvette start up in your own garage! With less than 25 break-in miles on the car since the engine build, rest assured it has never been abused! It hails from dry, sunny Southern California where it has been wonderfully kept for many years! Please feel free to call with additional questions, or to see this exciting Corvette in person. Thanks for looking!
