FOR SALE:  A "RUST FREE" 1967 Corvette Convertible with Factory Hardtop, just out of 12 year storage. Has 1967 Big
Block Hood, V8 (4bbl) Small Block Chev. N.O.M. (NOT ORIGINAL MOTOR), car has a LOW RPM Redline Tach. So it was
originally a LOW HP Base engine car.  Now has a replacement V8 motor, looks some what correct but is just a
standard small block V8 Chevrolet engine. Good running little small block, does not smoke, runs good!  Muncie 4spd
(ORIGINAL to car), Posi. Rear End (ORIGINAL to car), Factory ORIGINAL Power Steering, Very Rare Factory Tuxedo
Black car (Coded 900), new black carpet kit. Speedo shows 47,417. miles, ORIGINAL? Maybe, who knows, we will have
to assume it is 147,417. Suspension/bushings looks to have been rebuilt/replaced, Tires are like brand new, Has its
original AM-FM Radio (does not work). Two gauges (Amp. gauge and Clock) look to have been replaced as the needles
are bright and not faded. (Clock works!). I have just installed new Alternator, voltage reg. and starter. Car was
tuned up and engine fluids changed. This Corvette runs great, drives nice and tight and stops very good. Was
originally a two top Corvette and will come with the Factory Hardtop, Soft top is long gone! (Missing Soft Top).
Overall this is a nicer UNRESTORED Driver quality TRIPLE BLACK 1967 Corvette with Flared Fenders, Extremely SOLID
beautiful RUST FREE Frame (see last Pic. NICE!) and Bird Cage, overall the Fiberglass looks original and mostly
unhit, but has been flared. Does have some minor fiberglass cracks in the normal areas, most other cracks are in
the front flare areas. Paint is a older repaint in its original black color, Paint is bright and shinny but has the
normal nicks, chips, scrapes, scuffs from years of storage and use, plus looks to have had a "70's" pin stripe at
one time as if you look at it in the right light and angle you can see the tape line. I just got this Corvette in
and do not know a ton about it. Do know the previous owner had it in dry storage for the last 12+ years. Pictures
make the car "look better" than it truly is in person. (Just being Honest)  I would have "WAY MORE FUN" in this
Corvette than my restored Corvette, I worry about it when ever it goes out. Can't keep everything.  With that
being said it is still a very solid, very restorable, nicer looking (gets thumbs up when ever I take it out!)
Factory Black  "Driver" 1967 Corvette Convertible. Has the very common minor issue on the title vin number, car
act. vin number is 194677S116463 * Oregon title shows 1946775116463 someone with sloppy hand writing, and DMV
mistook the S for a 5, not a big deal, have dealt with the same thing multip. times, Just
needed to let you know.

Is this '47 Chevrolet a rat rod or a sports car?

Sun, May 22 2016

These days there are plenty of vehicles that blur the conventional automotive class structures. For instance, was the Honda Crosstour a wagon or an SUV? And what exactly was the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet? Regardless, those line-blurring cars (or trucks) are out there, and though this one didn't roll off a production line, it's still quite the automotive head-scratcher. Hailing from Missouri, this epic creation is one part mad science experiment, one part 1947 Chevrolet pickup, and one part '95 Mercury Cougar. Add it all up and you get an awesome truck-sports-car hybrid, complete with an outrageous wing and a V8 to boot. And interestingly enough, it's up for sale . RELATED: Check out this Wild-Styled Lamborghini Rat Rod So how does it all come together? According to the listing, the Chevrolet truck cab (which had previously been chopped) was sanded down to bare metal and given a thorough shellacking of clear coat. It was then melded together with the front end of a 1995 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck, and set low to the ground on Bilstein suspension drop spindles. Stance achieved. But instead of fielding an engine from either of those pickups, it pulls its heart from a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV—a big 5.3-liter V8 heart, that is. It comes backed-up to a GM Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Towards the rear however is where things get really interesting. A Copper Pearl coated tube frame chassis both attaches the rear independent suspension (a la Mercury Cougar) to the racy spoiler, as well as secures the rat rod's rear-mounted radiator, fan, and fuel tank. I'm not quite sure why, but it just looks glorious. RELATED: Reports Say Mid-Engine Corvette Will Arrive in 2018 Inside the vintage cab, the Chevrolet furthers its racing proclivities (it's said to have won burnout and auto-cross events) with a pair of harnessed racing seats, a drift brake, a detachable steering wheel, and a tachometer with oil and temperature gauges, but oddly no speedometer. The shifter is a crescent wrench. And its shift boot? That's a Crown Royal Purple bag. All in all, this grin-worthy Frankenstein creation tallies up bits and pieces from four different vehicles (five if you include the Camaro wheels), which make it truly a mash-up of epic proportions. Internet, what do you think? Related Video: This article by Zach Doell originally appeared on Boldride. GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue

Wed, 14 Nov 2012

General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.

CA Chevy dealer allegedly adds $50K 'market value adjustment' to 2015 Z06

Fri, Jan 9 2015

It seems to happen with every eagerly anticipated new car – dealerships, recognizing that crushing demand far outstrips the initial limited supply of a new model, inflate the price via a so-called "market value adjustment." We've seen it in the past with a number of new models, and now it's happening again with one of the Detroit 3's hottest vehicles. A dealership in Roseville, CA, outside of Sacramento, has allegedly attached a staggering $49,995 market value adjustment to a 2015 Corvette Z06. We say allegedly because, despite the evidence uncovered by BoostAddict, John L. Sullivan Chevy's online inventory listing doesn't display the price premium of the Z06 in question, a (normally) $93,965 model with the top-end 3LZ trim. It's unclear if either of the dealer's other Z06s, both 3LZs, one of which is in transit, will receive similar price adjustments. Now, legally, Sullivan Chevy isn't doing anything wrong here. Dealerships are under no obligation to observe a manufacturer's suggested retail price, a point General Motors' spokesperson Ryndee Carney pointed out to Autoblog via email. "For the Corvette Z06, Chevrolet has established a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price we feel is right for the market. Actual transaction prices, however, are the province of the dealer," Carney said, adding that a dealer zone manager will be discussing the price hike with the dealership. While we also reached out to the dealership over both the market value adjustment and the price of the Z06 as it appears on the company's website, we've yet to hear back as of this writing. Should they reply to our inquiries, we'll be sure to update you. Until then, we'd like to hear what you think about this case. Is Sullivan Chevy simply pricing the cars as high as it thinks the market can bear, or is this a cash grab for an hotly anticipated product? Have your say in Comments.
