1967 Corvette 427 car , 390 HP , Factory Air , 4 Speed , P/S , P/B , Electric Windows.
I purchased this car about ten years ago from a collection in mid texas , It was a running and driving car with
real nice paint and a nice interior but was filthy under the hood , This car is
obviously loaded up with options and rare enough for what it is , The paint is nice to excellent by anyone's
standards - it isn't a bright white its got a mild cream color to it - there are two pics of very minor flaws that
I found - other than that - Nice Clean Paint , The Interior is nice or new - ( our camera was taking some fuzzy
faded looking pics - the carpet is not faded but looks that way in the pics ) the dash pads are good with no cracks
- gauges are good - no radio - good carpet - no storage compartment lid , New Knock Off Wheels and Caps and Lugs -
good red-line tires at 80% - ( all put on this past spring ) , The cast number on the engine block is 3963512 - the
front of the block is smooth with no code numbers , This car is complete with a lot of new parts as seen in the
pics and doesn't need much to get it back up and going , The door latches are off so the doors don't lock shut and
the hood was just sitting on the car in the pics , The body lines on the car are very accurate especially around
the headlights and front all seems to fit very nicely - I couldn't find any signs of fenders or quarter panels
being replaced or spliced - no aftermarket fiberglass , The body is solid - the bond strips are all there , No
signs of bird cage rust or frame rust issues - the suspension hasn't been rebuilt , There has been some welding on
the trans crossmember near the center mount , The exhaust panel was taken off to put in a new fuel sending unit (
installed ) - the door panels were pulled to put in new window motors and clean up the latches ( the motors are
installed ), All the glass and all the chrome on this car is nice ,

Recharge Wrap-up: Chevy Volt's new, improved powertrain; Inabikari wants to build Tesla Model X fighter
Thu, Nov 6 2014We knew the 2016 Chevrolet Volt's new powertrain would provide more range, but we didn't know how much. According to GM's Executive Director Larry Nitz, it is about 12 percent more, overall. "I can't think of a powertrain we've re-engineered more extensively within a five-year period than this one," he said. The battery, electric drive system and gasoline generator have all been reworked to allow for an overall driving range of up to 425 miles, with electric range speculated to reach 42 miles or more. The new Volt will also benefit from 20 percent quicker low-end acceleration, weight reductions and improvements in NVH. Read more at Hybrid Cars and at the SAE website. Hyundai's FCEV research and development boss, Dr. Sae-Hoon Kim, is optimistic about the future of hydrogen mobility in Japan. With the Tucson Fuel Cell already in production ahead of Toyota's FCV, Hyundai has a foothold in the hydrogen car scene. Kim believes that since the Fukushima disaster, Japan's attitudes toward energy make it friendly to a growing hydrogen economy. He also says that hydrogen won't be limited to Hyundai, with Kia getting all the battery EVs. "Both types are for both companies," Kim says. "For the moment, volumes are small and it is not wise to have Hyundai and Kia competing." Read more at Just Auto. The Latvian/German startup Inabikari is using crowdfunding to build an electric crossover for Europe. The Rev.01 EV hopes to compete with Tesla's upcoming Model X with a range of over 400 miles and a five-second 0-60 time. The group currently is trying to raise initial funds through an Indiegogo campaign, with hopes of more investment in the future and sales beginning in 2017. See the video below, and read more at Hybrid Cars and at the Inabikari website. Fuel economy and emissions regulations could lead to some interesting design changes to automobiles. The World Light Duty Test Procedure, set to replace the New European Driving Cycle in 2017, will push automakers to find new ways to reduce drag on their vehicles. For better aerodynamics, we could see traditional side-view mirrors replaced by cameras that display what they see on screens inside the vehicle. Another likely change will be the introduction of smaller, narrower wheels. Improving the average drag coefficient from 0.32 to 0.20 could reduce CO2 emissions by as much as 20 percent. GM Halts Sale Of Most Chevy Cruze Models
Fri, Mar 28 2014General Motors has told dealers to stop selling some 2013 and 2014 Chevrolet Cruze compact cars. But the company won't say why. Dealers say stop-sale orders are routine and almost always made to fix a safety problem. They received the order in an e-mail Thursday, but no reason was given. The move comes as GM deals with fallout from a delayed recall of 1.6 million older small cars to fix an ignition switch problem. The company says the switches can slip out of the run position and shut down the engine. That causes loss of power steering and brakes and disables air bags. GM says the problem has been linked to 31 crashes and at least a dozen deaths. Spokesman Greg Martin says he has no details on the Cruze. Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
