Hi, I am a Retired Physician selling a mint 2002 Corvette. It has been a one owner. Always garaged. Never taken out in the rain. Never raced. Only drive it on the weekends. It is a georgeous Yellow ZO6 with black leather interior. The floor mats with ZO6 on them are still covered by clear plastic coverings. That's how much I care for my cars. It came with 405 H.P. ,but to me that was not enough for a beauty like this. I wanted more get up and go but still streetable with good manners. I found the best builder in West Florida and sat down with him to see what he suggested. I wound up putting a Vararam Cold Air intake on it. Polished and ported throttle body. Competetion heads, LG long Pro Headers. A special grind Competition Cam. FAST intake manifold. Lowered it one inch. Tinted the windows. Changed the shift mechanism to a short throw C6 shifter. Put Chrome OEM Wheels and new Firestone High Performance Tires on it. The tires only have 2,500 miles on them. We Dyno`d it and it came out to 530 H.P. It idles at 800RPM with the AC on. It sounds fantastic. It is a head turner. The people at Church call it my Babe Magnet. Sitting at a stoplight I have people roll down their windows and ask me about it , how beautiful it is and how fantastic it sounds. Now I have done all the work, you can reap the benefits if you are looking for a car like this . I have had no problems with it whatsoever, the only reason I am selling it is that I don`t drive it enough. My everyday car is a 2012 Golf R. I have had it tricked out with APR`s stage 3 Turbo setup, which gives me 444H.P. All wheel drive, 6 speed manual Recaro Leather seats, etc. With a top speed of 180MPH. I don`t have a lot of photos of it , because I don`t use I-Phones. Thus my camera does not download photos to my computer. If you have any questions, please e-mail me. I am in Clearwater, Fla. GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015
Mon, 25 Feb 2013General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.

Thu, 02 May 2013With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Fewer than 1 in 3 Chevy dealers earn right to initially sell C7 Corvette
Mon, 01 Apr 2013Looking to make the launch of the 2014 Corvette Stingray as efficient as possible, Chevrolet will be limiting the numbers of its dealers that can sell the all-new coupe and convertible. According to Automotive News, sales of the C7 Corvette will initially be limited to less than a third of Chevy's total dealership network when the 'Vette goes on sale this summer.
Only 900 dealers out of more than 3,000 locations nationwide will be allowed to sell the new Corvette at first, and the reason for this is so that there are no shortages at dealers that can actually get the cars sold. The article says that the 900 dealerships chosen represented 80 percent of total Corvette sales in 2012.
Some of the requirements dealers had to make to get initial allocation of Stingray sales include having sold at least four Corvettes in 2012 and having a Corvette Stingray specialist who will be required to have gone through a training session costing more than $2,000 per attendee. Once demand for the 2014 Corvette Stingray begins to subside - approximately six to nine months after it goes on sale - then allocation could open up to more dealers, but the report indicates this could happen following the 2014 model year.
