1964 Greenbrier Van, 110hp, 4 Speed, nice driver condition with occasional cruise and car show use. Always gets good comments from viewers.I have owned this for 2 1/2 years and only selling for space requirements. This van has never failed to get us to and home from destinations. It runs strong, stable and steady and will run at interstate speeds just fine.Suspension is tight, steering is tight, all lights wipers and horns work. Paint is good, had been done by a previous owner and has a couple bubbles that were there when I got the van and are the same now.It has a Spyder dash but not all the gauges work and I never did get them wired, but they are there.Odometer is not operating, so no mileage is registering. It was a flower delivery van for its first years, then someone bought and kept it for about 20 years, then sold it to the prior owner who had it for 5 years or so.Prior owner did much including installing a rebuilt 65 110hp engine, clutch, pressure plate, replaced all brake and gas lines, brakes with dual master cylinder, engine mounts, bushings, all wheel bearings, tires and rear shocks. I replaced front shocks with 3 way adjustables and replaced steering wheel with a good grip one and upgraded the stereo to a modern Sony with Sony speakers.I also added an electric fuel pump and bypassed the original pump. It has a Pertronics ignition and a one wire alternator and a recent battery replacement, this van is 49 years old and it still makes people point at it as we pass by.It starts, runs, gets us to our shows , stops, runs in the rain if necessary with no water coming inside, in short, its ready for use and fun. Buy it and enjoy the rest of the summer car season.

GM's European Opel division may eventually go all-electric
Wed, Feb 15 2017General Motors' Opel division in Europe may transform itself into an all-electric vehicle maker by 2030. Granted, a lot can happen between now and then, including a potential buyout by French automaker PSA Group. Regardless, Opel appears to view its electric future beyond the Ampera-e, which is the sister vehicle to the Chevrolet Bolt, and more like Tesla. Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann indicated that focusing on electric drivetrains would be a superior strategy to expanding its EV technology while pushing forward with conventional drivetrains, says Automotive News Europe, citing comments Neumann made to German publication Manager Magazin. General Motors could make the decision to move towards an all-electric vehicle line for Opel as soon as May. Of course, that depends on whether Opel is bought out by PSA, the parent country to Peugeot and Citroen. PSA is in talks to buy General Motors' Opel and Vauxhall divisions, though government and labor representatives in Germany have expressed concerns over potential job losses from the proposed buyout, Reuters says. Regardless, GM has hinted at expanding its electric-vehicle line far beyond the Bolt, which has a 238-mile single-charge range and debuted late last year. Mary Barra, in an interview with CNET, said the Bolt's all-electric platform could be applied to a "huge range of vehicles," though wasn't specific about additional EV models. Opel first showed off its Ampera-e at the Paris Motor Show last fall. The name of the model raised some eyebrows because the Ampera badge had been previously used by Opel for the sister version of the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in. Either way, Opel is looking to take on Renault for electric-vehicle sales supremacy across the Pond. Related Video:
C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."
