Description:
If you are looking for a great entry level classic look no further. This Corvair Covers all bases, it is fast and peppy with 110 hp and the top goes down! This is an arrive and drive classic!! She needs nothing! Steering is tight, and it really is a breeze to drive. All chrome is in excellent shape, along with the interior trim pieces. Paint shines great. And the wire wheels really give it great curb appeal. Every single thing works and operates as it should.

Exterior:
The Exterior is in great shape, original metal with no accidents. This Corvair has had one repaint since New. The paint is 6.5 out of 10. It shines and looks phenomenal, but you can see its age. All bright work is in excellent shape. All chrome is perfect. All locks are operational. Glass is like new, front window has no cracks or discoloration. All windows operate without binding. All Gaps are correct, no funny business. Under the front bumper you can see paint flaking due to age. All lights operate as they should.

Interior:
Perfect interior, no flaws in the seats or door cards. Looks phenomenal! The bolsters in the seats are not worn. She only has 44,100 miles and they were obviously pampered. Dash is not showing any age, and the top does not leak, so you will not have any foul odors. The Carpet is in fantastic shape. We took the liberty of snapping several photos of the pedals to show the overall condition vs the mileage. We feel that wear on the pedals confirms the mileage to be correct. This car has been loved its entire life.

Drivetrain:
The drivetrain is in excellent shape, Motor is strong no smoke/ hesitation or any hidden headaches. Transmission is in phenomenal shape, no pop outs or grinding. Even though this only has 110 horsepower it is quite agile! All steering components and bushings are like new. Please look at the gallery!  New Master cylinder and all new lines recently installed. She stops great. all Electronics work perfectly, and the Carbs have zero issues! Has new shocks and bushings all around!

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.

2018 Ford Expedition vs other big SUVs: How it compares on paper

Fri, Nov 10 2017

With our Alex Kierstein rightly impressed in his first-drive review of the new 2018 Ford Expedition, we decided to dig a little deeper into the numbers, and we came up with the spreadsheet below to highlight how the new 2018 Expedition compares on paper to its main full-size SUV competitors: the 2018 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban (and therefore the 2018 GMC Yukon), 2018 Toyota Sequoia and 2018 Nissan Armada. We also threw in the new, even bigger 2018 Chevrolet Traverse since, as you'll see, its massive dimensions should put it on the radar for anyone who needs loads of passenger and cargo space but doesn't care as much about towing. A few notes about the chart above. First, the 6.2-liter V8 that's included with the new-for-2018 Tahoe RST trim level is the standard engine on the GMC Yukon Denali. You can apply most of the Tahoe's numbers to the entire Yukon and Yukon XL lineup. Second, though we highlighted categories where the Traverse led, we also highlighted the runner-up full-size SUV, since this was ultimately about that segment. Traverse numbers are broadly applicable to the new Buick Enclave. Autoblog fan favorite car ads from Super Bowl XLIX

Mon, Feb 2 2015

Super Bowl XLIX is in the books, and the New England Patriots emerged victorious. Of course, if you're like us, the big game wasn't so much about the battle between the east coast and west, so much as a fight between the world's automotive advertisers. We collected and collated all of last night's new ads and put them together for you to vote on. And yes, we're limiting this year's contest to last night's new features. That's why you aren't seeing Dodge's epic Wisdom among our collection of commercials, and it's a similar story with Chevrolet's Truck Guy Focus Group series, which highlights the new Colorado. You can still vote for your favorites. We won't be closing the voting on our Super Bowl page, so while the winners and losers are correct as of this writing, it's entirely possible that there could be some changes in the rankings as time goes on. So, without any further ado, here are the winning ads based on your voting. Nissan: With Dad Fiat: Ready For Action Jeep: Beautiful Lands BMW: Newfangled Idea Mercedes-Benz: Fable NASCAR: America Start Your Engines As for those ads that failed to impact you, loyal readers, Toyota was the absolute, undisputed loser. The Japanese brand ran four ads in total – two for Toyota and two for Lexus – and all of them have negative tallies as of this writing. Lexus' Make Some Noise and Lets Play and Toyota's One Bold Choice and My Bold Dad both had very weak showings among the commercials that aired, although they weren't alone. Neither Mazda nor Kia scored particularly well, despite featuring celebrity magic act Penn and Teller and former James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, respectively. Chevrolet was the winner of the losers, as of our writing, recording the fewest downvotes for its audience-punking The Big Game ad. If you want to take a second look at the losing ads, you can head back to our Super Bowl page for the complete collection. But for now, head into Comments and let us know what you think of the results.
