PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU BID!!!! THIS TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES BUT NEEDS WORK.This is a 97 chevy with the 4.3 vorteck and it's a 5 speed. It has a 140 some thousand miles and runs strong and is cheap on gas for a full size truck about 22 mpg.It has a miss at a certain rpm which the code reader says it needs a mass flow air sensor but still very drivable,it only does it a a certain rpm sorta like it lunges. The tranny shifts good but 2nd gear will rake if you shift in to it to soon, and it has dents all over it and rust on the cab corners and on the bottom of the drivers side fender, which both fenders are beat up and need changed anyway if you were going to fix it up to paint it.It has play in the steering needs ball joints or tierod ends or both not shure and sway bar bushings they are shot, door pins and bushings for drivers side door{you have to pick up on it to shut it} and it could use back cab mount bushings. The bumpers are dented up and need changed also,it's been a work truck for me and has been a good one and reliable but it needs work.It has a clear wv title and a good inspection sticker until 8/13 and the heater works good but the ac don't not shure why and the factory cd player plays good. The window are tinted and it has a toneu cover on it and a hitch under it.The inside off the bed has a couple rust wholes on the side wall part and the seat has a couple tear places in it and it needs tires ones on it hold air but that about it.I have put new brakes all the way around it and 2 new back wheel cylinders on it about 3 months ago and a new idel arm and 2 new unaversal joints, new pickup in the destributor, new plugs, wires, and new top end gaskets from the heads uo about 4 months ago.The frame is in good shape but the body isn't,like i said it has ALOT of dents and a few rust wholes,i'm not trying to hide anything i want you to understand it is FAR from perfect but if you just want a good work truck that is dependable and won't brake you up on gas then this is it.Feel free to ask any questions you may have and bid accordingly WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET.You are reaponsable for pick up at my house and if haveing a shipper come get it then full payment must be made before it leaves my yard.Only bid if you intend to pay.And there is a NON-REFUNDABLE $250.00 deposit required at the end of auction.

GM learning from current Chevy Volt owners as it works on next-gen model
Tue, Sep 16 2014Details of the second-generation Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in hybrid are coming in at a trickle, and the latest is that the 2016 model-year Volt will be improved in all meaningful areas, including performance and all-electric range, says General Motors powertrain director Larry Nitz. 60 percent of Volt customers only charge using a standard 110 outlet. Nitz was speaking to Autoline After Hours about the current and future Volt. He said that GM has been tracking Volt driving habits and found that about two-thirds of the Volts' collective miles are driven in electric mode, and that 81 percent of all Volt trips were done in pure EV mode. Additionally, Volt drivers plug the car in 10 times each week, on average. Nitz also said 82 percent of the Volt's commuting miles are coming from the plug instead of the gas tank. Oh, and 60 percent of Volt customers only charge using a standard 110 outlet. Last month, GM released a teaser shot of the 2016 Volt (above) and said the car would make its worldwide debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show next January. Earlier this year, the Volt was reported to be getting a new chassis for the upcoming version. The Volt could use a bit of new life. Through August, Volt sales were down 12 percent from a year earlier to 13,146 units, and sales plunged 25 percent alone. That compares unfavorably to the Nissan Leaf battery-electric vehicle, whose 2014 sales have jumped 34 percent to almost 19,000 units. You can see Nitz dish the goods in the video below (Volt comments start at around minute 15). You will also notice AutoblogGreen contributor Gary Witzenburg talk about his history with the EV1 and share his take on the Volt. This content is hosted by a third party. Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
These are the five most ridiculous attacks on the Chevy Volt [w/videos]
Thu, Aug 7 2014It's been a long, strange trip for the Chevy Volt from the time when the now-odd-looking concept version (above) was introduced at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show to today. And now, General Motors announced that the second-generation Chevy Volt will make an appearance at the 2015 Detroit show in January. This debut represents a victory for GM with what has easily become the most politicized car of the 21st Century. There are plenty of reasons for someone to criticize the Volt, but what's amazing is just how much anti-Volt energy has been spent not on things like the styling or how the EREV setup is not as efficient as a pure-EV powertrain. As we wait for more official information on the new Volt, we thought it would be fun to go back and look at some of the most wildly incorrect reporting and strangest attacks on the Volt from the archives. There is so much good stuff out there, it was hard to pare the list down, but these are our five favorites. Amazingly, they're not all clips from Fox News. Check 'em out below. 5. GM Is Going To Stop Making The Chevy Volt In The US Do you remember when GM was about to move Volt production to China? Well, yeah, this was reported back in early 2012 when a GM executive mentioned that the automaker would get benefits of building the Volt in the places where it sells them. This was spun into a story of GM taking Obama bailout money and then running to China. The Blaze was not happy: "Given the fact that Federal government helped itself to millions and millions of taxpayer dollars under the pretense that it was going to combat high unemployment by creating 'green jobs,' it would seem that moving research and development (and possibly manufacturing) overseas is slightly, well, counterproductive." Well, of course, that never happened. There's no way to say that GM will never build a version of the Volt in China, but the news we hear rumors of these days is that GM is going to move production of more Volt parts (specifically, the motors) to Michigan from overseas. 4. The Chevy Volt Is A Fire Trap There has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. Yes, there were Volts that caught on fire. Yes, that's a scary thing. But there has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. These were crashed test vehicles with destroyed batteries and plugged-in vehicles that were not the cause.
