1969 Chevelle SS my dad bought the car new from Hays Chevrolet in Staunton Virginia, vehicle was originally Garnet Red with white vinyl top and white interior, have the original owners manual and shipping sheet says the car was made in Baltimore Maryland plant.
Car has been in my garage since my Dad passed in 2005. Vehicle has never been wrecked, in 1992 my Dad had some body work done and the car was primed, there is a few bubble places I have seen on the top and around the back window of rust starting. In 1992 my Dad put a Gen. V 454 crate motor in the car with Malory electronic ignition, Holley 850 double pump carb., since the car has been driven a couple hundred miles. He also put new shocks, springs, carpet, rubber seals on doors, windows, roofrails, trunk. The interior is the original and was dyed black, however; the front seats was changed from the original bench to the vega diamond tucked bucket seats you see now. Vehicle has the original turbo 400 automatic transmission and 12 bolt rear end.
When I got the car in 2005 I took it to my local garage (Fauls Garage Harrisonburg VA) he said everything looked good and car just needed to be driven more since it had set so much from 1992 till 2005. Since I have only driven it a couple times.I put a new battery in the car and it seems to start and run very well, however I noticed the radiator has a drip and the transmission indicator in the dash is stuck registering park all the time.

Wed, Jul 16 2014Some police in Los Angeles will be riding Zero MMX electric motorcycles on duty. The LAPD is adding the fully electric police/military all-terrain bikes to its patrol fleet. According to Officer Steve Carbajal of the department's off-road unit, "It costs less than 50 cents to charge compared to using gallons of gas, maintenance is simple, and the community appreciates how quiet they are." The electric bikes, with their lack of noise and a headlight the rider can turn off, also have the benefit of stealth, giving the officers what Carbajal calls "an added tactical advantage." The MMX also has swappable batteries, is designed for quick ignition and has power reserve capabilities so the rider won't be caught with a dead battery while chasing down a perp. GM is about two-thirds of the way through the development of the new inverter, which should be ready in January 2016. Chevrolet is working to reduce the Volt's production costs by $10,000 per vehicle, which should make it more affordable, and the new inverter could help reach that goal should it make its way into the car. Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
