Feel free to ask me any questions about the car : whitneywssweezey@ukno.com .This ad features a really nice car I am selling from a friend’s collection. He recently had a his first child and
has decided to thin his car herd so he can focus on his growing family herd! So while he is ready to cut this car
loose it is not a forced sale, more of a common sense sale. This car does not have the correct engine/transmission
but instead has a 454 V-8 and 400 TurboHydramatic transmission out of a 1974 Chevelle which is a very suitable
upgrade and a 12 bolt posi-traction differential. This is a real SS, but originally was a 350 V8. It runs strong
and looks great. As you read through the write up you will see everything has either been rebuilt or replaced
mechanically on the car. This is a great driver and ready to go as it sits. Now I should qualify that usually
"driver" quality on eBay usually means piece of crap. Let's be clear this is a really nice car, but by no means a
trailer queen either, hence a great car to drive, and will show well at most local car shows and cruise-ins. The
car collects lots of attention whether it's cruising down the street or parked.
Finish -- Grade A: Bright red paint is a fresh two stage paint. Re-paint was very through and there are no signs
of the original green metallic paint. Very nice shine/luster and it looks as good in person as it does in the

are clean and free of rust. Rear quarter look great and the driver’s side rear quarter has been replaced and work
is professional. Has had new inner fenders installed with all new hardware

straight and free of dents but some light patina has started.
Bright work -- Grade A-: All original stainless is present and is in great shape requiring only light buffing to
restore. Door handles and emblems are all new.
Glass Grade B+: Glass is all original A01 Soft Ray Glass with correct date codes except for front windshield. Front
windshield has been replaced and is free of chips or cracks and scratches. Side windows are also free of chips,
but have some light scratches. All weather-stripping and window "fuzzies" are new and in very good shape and have
been replaced at the time of repaint.

Factory original SS gauge package. SS Steering wheel is clean and otherwise like new, dash pad looks great. Lenses
on gauge pods are clear and clean, fuel gauge works. The headliner is new but the installation was not done
professionally and has some serious wrinkles in it (see photos) and is also missing it's seat belts. Radio is brand
new RetroAutosound AM/FM with optional MP3 auxiliary plug in. and the rear features 6 X 9 dual cone speakers in the
rear and have nice clean sound quality. Radio has excellent sound quality, professional installation. All
weather-striping is new with new window "fuzzies" installed.
Wheels Grade A: Original Chevrolet SS style 15 X 7 Rally II steel rims that are painted in original factory grey
color with factory Chevy center caps Hardened chrome lug nuts, and factory trim rings.

heater blows warm. Driver’s kick panle vent is frozen shut, passenger works as designed.
Transmission Grade OK: Original style 400 THM automatic transmission. Transmission is free of any leaks. I don't
know anything about the transmission internals but it appears to have been rebuilt. It has an aftermarket
adjustable vacuum modulator, and the torque converter appears to have been replaced with an aftermarket street
performance converter (B & M?????).
Trans fluid is clean, and free of any burned smell. Shifts crisp but not to harsh. Features original steal vacuum
modulator line and cooling lines.
Brakes Grade A: Factory equipped with JL2 Power Front Disc brakes. Brakes are fully serviced with new pads,
bearings cleaned & greased. Rear brakes are drum style with new pads and springs. Brakes perform to factory
specifications. Fresh installation.
Engine Grade A: Original 350 was missing when the car was purchased. Currently the engine compartment holds a 1974
Chevrolet 454 with 4BBL. The intake and heads are 1966 Chevrolet Passenger parts a top a 1974 454 Chevelle 454
block. It is a well thought out combination that provides a gas pump friendly compression. Engine is clean and
show ready detailed. Installation is clean and professional and stock in appearance. Engine is equipped with brand
factory chrome valve covers, is painted the correct era paint. Engine was professionally rebuilt when owned by a
previous owner but came with no receipts. The motor is clean inside (valve covers were removed for inspection) and
is free of any noises or knocks, and there is no smoke upon start-up cold or warm, and is free of any oil or
coolant leaks, supporting the claim of a recent/fresh rebuild. Engine has a slight lopey idle but pulls 25 inches
of vacuum, the carburetor has been modified and freshly rebuilt with parts from Cliff's HP and dialed in to the
engine modification combination and pulls smooth right off idle without hesitation through acceleration. Engine is
equipped with functioning factory style electric choke that works as designed by the factory. Engine pulls hard
under acceleration, no black smoke, and carburetor responds better then fuel injection. Engine features new
starter, alternator, radiator, hoses, plus fresh tune-up with cap, rotor, wires, and plugs. Brackets are all
factory and period correct and installation is professional. Car also features a brand new four row radiator (not a
re-core), with 7 bladed fan with thermostatic factory style clutch.
Summary:
This car looks great driving down the road, and frankly, even up close, it is very presentable for most local car
shows or cruises. It is a very nice car to drive with smooth acceleration, and clean comfortable cabin. The
performance idle through the chambered mufflers makes it a hit at the cruise in or at the stop light. The car has a
strong running 454 which is desirable upgraded and greatly improves the overall driving experience of the car. Ride
is firm, but comfortable for a long drive. Operation is very reliable and without issue and the engine pulls hard
off idle up to 5000 rpm. It is a lot of fun to kick down at a roll as the car sets you back in the seat and smokes
the tires. The suspension launches straight with no wheel hop when you mat it and spins the tires without brake
torquing. The car as is would make a great reliable, daily driver that would be a blast to drive everyday to work.
It is really a fun car to drive with its throaty exhaust and excellent power. This car offers a lot of potential
with some light trim work will only will only improve the value of this car.
Other then some minor interior detailing, this car needs nothing else replaced and is road ready for cruising.
Mechanically it has been totally gone through and all maintenance items (battery, alternator, brakes, radiator,
etc) are new and have been replaced! You can drive this car literally anywhere without issue. So if doing a full
restoration or building a bad news street terror is outside your skills level but your looking a for a great
musclecar this the car for you. When you consider the full restoration numbers matching cars run $50K plus and most
of the cars below $10K, well let's just say are in need of a lot of work.
That said I have tried my best to represent this car as honestly as possible, however it is sold as is and there is
no warranty implied or otherwise stated.

Outrageous Thor24 semi truck to appear in the new season of 'Jay Leno's Garage'

Tue, Apr 28 2020

Wednesday is Jay Leno's birthday, and CNBC used the occasion to announce the upcoming season of Jay Leno's Garage. In a new teaser video, Leno is seen with a stacked list of guests, some new, some repeats, as well as a wild gamut of vehicles, including the absolutely insane 24-cylinder, 3,424-horsepower Thor24.  The outrageous semi build, which sold at auction in Saudi Arabia earlier this year for a whopping $12 million (or $1 million per supercharger) will join the likes of the Tesla Cybertruck and a recliner on wheels on the upcoming season of Jay's series.  Thor24 View 24 Photos The formula for Jay Leno's Garage is simple, successful, and not changing anytime soon. He brings out a bunch of famous people, some of which are real enthusiasts, others who have more casual driving backgrounds, and they experience a vehicle together. In the short clip released by CNBC, Leno is accompanied by Elon Musk (again), Danny Trejo, Bill Burr, Tim Allen, Jon Hamm, Brad Garrett, Jeff Dunham, Kelly Clarkson, Matt LeBlanc, Blake Shelton, Norm MacDonald, Edd China, and Jon Lovitz.           View this post on Instagram                   Thank you for sharing your dream with us. Happy Birthday, Jay! Love always, your @cnbcprime Family. A post shared by Jay Leno's Garage (@jaylenosgarage) on Apr 28, 2020 at 8:27am PDT The people, however, are merely social lubricants to spotlight the real stars of the show, the cars. This season will include the Tesla Cybertruck, the record-breaking Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, a 1965 Buick Riviera, a naked cat car, an Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, a Porsche Taycan, a modern Ford GT, a Chevrolet Corvette C8 hard-top convertible, amphicars, a snail car, a beetle car, a couch car, and the 24-cylinder, 12-supercharger, 3,424-horsepower Thor24 semi. Just to name a few. As usual, there will be racing, stunts, spinouts, smoke from both tires and engines, and lots of silly dad jokes. Season 5 of Jay Leno's Garage debuts on CNBC on May 20 at 10 p.m. ET. 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray priced from $51,995*

Fri, 26 Apr 2013

After months of speculation, Chevrolet has finally revealed the official starting price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The base MSRP for the 450-horsepower Stingray Coupe will be $51,995, while the Stingray Convertible will go for $56,995 (*both prices include a $995 destination fee). This means that the price increase from 2013 to 2014 is just $1,400 for the coupe and $2,395 for the convertible - pretty modest increases considering the upgrade in specifications. Of course, neither price accounts for the sort of dealer markup that might grace early C7 window stickers, especially since less than a third of all Chevrolet dealers will be allocated Corvette models to sell at the car's launch.
Now, these prices are for the base car, so if you're wondering how much a fully loaded Stingray will run, Chevy has given us a good indication of that as well. The coupe we saw on display at the Detroit Auto Show (shown above), for example, would run $73,360 including options such as the $2,800 Z51 Performance Package, $2,495 competition sport seats and the $1,795 Magnetic Ride Control option - just to name a few. Stepping up to the 3LT trim level that brings a full leather interior will run an extra $8,005 over the base price.
While $20,000 in options may seem like a lot, this "as-tested" price still has the C7 competitively priced against rival coupes like the Porsche 911 and Nissan GT-R. Speaking of price comparisons, Chevrolet also points out that the C7 Stingray Z51 costs $2,200 less than the C6 Grand Sport while delivering better acceleration (0-60 mph in less than four seconds) and improved track performance (including more than 1 g in cornering).

These are the five most ridiculous attacks on the Chevy Volt [w/videos]

Thu, Aug 7 2014

It's been a long, strange trip for the Chevy Volt from the time when the now-odd-looking concept version (above) was introduced at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show to today. And now, General Motors announced that the second-generation Chevy Volt will make an appearance at the 2015 Detroit show in January. This debut represents a victory for GM with what has easily become the most politicized car of the 21st Century. There are plenty of reasons for someone to criticize the Volt, but what's amazing is just how much anti-Volt energy has been spent not on things like the styling or how the EREV setup is not as efficient as a pure-EV powertrain. As we wait for more official information on the new Volt, we thought it would be fun to go back and look at some of the most wildly incorrect reporting and strangest attacks on the Volt from the archives. There is so much good stuff out there, it was hard to pare the list down, but these are our five favorites. Amazingly, they're not all clips from Fox News. Check 'em out below. 5. GM Is Going To Stop Making The Chevy Volt In The US Do you remember when GM was about to move Volt production to China? Well, yeah, this was reported back in early 2012 when a GM executive mentioned that the automaker would get benefits of building the Volt in the places where it sells them. This was spun into a story of GM taking Obama bailout money and then running to China. The Blaze was not happy: "Given the fact that Federal government helped itself to millions and millions of taxpayer dollars under the pretense that it was going to combat high unemployment by creating 'green jobs,' it would seem that moving research and development (and possibly manufacturing) overseas is slightly, well, counterproductive." Well, of course, that never happened. There's no way to say that GM will never build a version of the Volt in China, but the news we hear rumors of these days is that GM is going to move production of more Volt parts (specifically, the motors) to Michigan from overseas. 4. The Chevy Volt Is A Fire Trap There has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. Yes, there were Volts that caught on fire. Yes, that's a scary thing. But there has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. These were crashed test vehicles with destroyed batteries and plugged-in vehicles that were not the cause.
