1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Ss Ss on 2040-cars
Princeton, New Jersey, United States
No rust anywhere, no damage except scratch by SS emblem on pass side and small chip
by headlamp bezel and driver door rocker panel. See pics. Original interior in very good condition no dash cracks,
sheet metal,12 bolt rear, and I believe Muncie M21 4 spd. Engine code is 3999290 1-15-71 and vin is T092CTB
Which is a 402 built on 9/15/1971. I don’t believe it to be original to car but not sure as it is a 1971 built
402.
I had the engine removed, checked, cleaned/painted, compression tested and it is tight and strong.
Added hooker headers and complete custom dual exhaust, Edelbrock aluminum intake, bigger cam, new performance
ignition wires and plugs. Replaced the original AC (still have most of the old parts) with a new Vintage Air
system. Brakes all recently replaced, new clutch, new tires, holly carb rebuilt, new power brake booster, master
cylinder, flex brake lines. New HD aluminum radiator, water pump, hoses, belts, battery, filters. New shocks, and
alignment. Electronic ignition.
This is a true SS, not a clone. Has big block U code vin, boxed rear control arms, true SS interior from 1971/72.
Operational cowl induction hood. This car is straight, looks and runs/drives amazing. Sounds fantastic.
Has 8-track player which I believe is original to the car. All gauges and lights work as they should ( except the
clock) tilt steering column, original sport wheels (15”).
The car maybe has 5,000 miles since paint and engine rebuild. Paint is still an 8/10

UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."

Peter Max staring down $1M lawsuit over Corvette collection sale
Wed, Dec 17 2014Pop artist Peter Max recently sold off his collection of 36 vintage Chevrolet Corvettes – one each from 1953 to 1989 – for an undisclosed amount. The new owners have already announced plans to restore some of them and auction the models off sometime soon. Up until then, the sports cars had been languishing in various garages around New York City for decades and were caked in dust and grime. However, Max's end of the transaction has just become more complicated, because two men are suing the artist claiming he employed them to complete the deal first. The men allege that Max hired them to broker the sale of the 36 Corvettes in exchange for a 10-percent commission, according to the New York Post. They claim to have emails and text messages proving the existence of the deal, and are taking Max to court for $1 million over the squabble. The collection of Corvettes was amassed in 1989 as part of a prize package from the television network VH1, and Max bought the cars from the winner intending on using them for an art project. He never got around to it, though, and parked the sports cars around New York, until he finally sold them over the summer.
