1972 Chevelle Malibu, 34k Original Miles, Matching #'s, Great Condition! on 2040-cars
Glendive, Montana, United States
Up for sale is my 1972 Chevelle Malibu. I got the car from a close friend, and i know the two owners that have had it for the last 30 years. They were both older gentlemen that used the car for their sunday driver when the weather was appropriate. There is a few minor spots of rust on it and two larger parts on the rear rockers of both sides (behind the rear wheels). Those can be patched. Original engine/transmission, that has not been rebuilt, and run and shift strong. The carb could probably use a going through though. It has the 350V8 paired to a TH350 3 speed. The rear window needs to be re-sealed and the front seat re-upholstered (i have the seal and fabric for those). Otherwise the interior is excellent. It is missing the "350" emblem on both sides. No floor or trunk pan rust. Whoever painted it did a very good job, but it will need new paint (the clear coat is starting to peel in one spot on top) If you're looking for a nice 72' to do a SS clone on then this is it! Not a whole lot of body work needs to be done. Or keep it all original! Need to sell because i decided to go with a 1970 Chevelle. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Also the wheels are obvioiusly not original :). The car is sold as is with no warranty and a $1000 deposit is required immediatly after purchase with the remainder to be paid within 7 days. I will ship the car if you work out all the details. Thanks

Fewer than 1 in 3 Chevy dealers earn right to initially sell C7 Corvette
Mon, 01 Apr 2013Looking to make the launch of the 2014 Corvette Stingray as efficient as possible, Chevrolet will be limiting the numbers of its dealers that can sell the all-new coupe and convertible. According to Automotive News, sales of the C7 Corvette will initially be limited to less than a third of Chevy's total dealership network when the 'Vette goes on sale this summer.
Only 900 dealers out of more than 3,000 locations nationwide will be allowed to sell the new Corvette at first, and the reason for this is so that there are no shortages at dealers that can actually get the cars sold. The article says that the 900 dealerships chosen represented 80 percent of total Corvette sales in 2012.
Some of the requirements dealers had to make to get initial allocation of Stingray sales include having sold at least four Corvettes in 2012 and having a Corvette Stingray specialist who will be required to have gone through a training session costing more than $2,000 per attendee. Once demand for the 2014 Corvette Stingray begins to subside - approximately six to nine months after it goes on sale - then allocation could open up to more dealers, but the report indicates this could happen following the 2014 model year.
Chevy Gives World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner A Recalled Truck
Thu, Oct 30 2014Last night must have seemed like a dream come true for San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner. He helped his team win its third World Series Championship in four years, earned MVP status and was given a brand new 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. Bumgarner might want to hold off on taking a victory lap in his new truck however. The Colorado is currently under recall. General Motors issued a stop-delivery order earlier this month to fix the truck's air bag connectors, which were wired improperly during the manufacturing process. The faulty wiring can cause the system to deploy incorrectly. Only 138 customers have received their Chevrolet trucks, the rest were caught and repaired either in the plant or on their way to dealerships and show rooms. Recalls Chevrolet world series
Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.
