1971 Chevy Chevelle/malibu Ss 454 12 Bolt Rear End (updated Info) on 2040-cars

Year:1971 Mileage:1

Ok Putting one of my favorite cars up for auction.  First would like to say, my apologies.  I originally posted this as a 1971 true Chevy Chevelle SS (Super Sport).  It is indeed a Malibu Chevelle, Chevelle SS clone. Thanks to everyone who helped me realize this.  So it is a Malibu/Chevelle, SS 454 clone with badges and grill, has original cowl induction hood, vinyl top and chrome trimmings around windows all good.   The motor is a 454 which has been rebuilt a few years ago.  Moroso valve covers and pan, has a performance cam and Holley 4 barrel carburetor, edelbrock manifold, full exhaust, Corvette Rally's.  It is the 12 bolt posi rear. Motor runs great, it's actually running in the picture. Car hasn't been really driven for a little over a year, could use a tune up, tires and fuel changed.  Has a B&M shift kit in floor, and shifts smooth (missing knob).  Not sure of exact horsepower but it's very strong and it's fast, will spin out sideways easily.  Please excuse those pictures, best I could do when I took them last week, I can text or email others, but they don't do it much justice. Any rust seen is surface rust and can be sanded out, nothing is rusted out or through at all.  Just needs a decent prime and paint job as far as the body goes. Interior is decent and has all components, bucket front seats and original rear, just needs to be cleaned up a little. This is a Great running Chevelle SS, not a project by any means, and with very little tlc anyone looking at this knows what the value is. And as a symbol of good faith I'll start it at $1000, no $999 (lol) and let you choose what to pay, and will hear offers. Clear GA title in hand. With that being said it is advertised locally, and if someone comes with the cash that is higher than current bid, I'd have to sell. As always Thanks for looking, and good luck bidding.

PS If you would like to come check it out or have any questions feel free to reach out anyway you'd like whether on here or via phone, I can be reached at 7708812250 if I'm unavailable, text always works.  Thanks

Disclaimer: First and foremost what you bid is what you pay period.  The $500 deposit is due within 24 hrs of winning bid, so make sure you have it available via Paypal before you bid.  A winning bid is a contractual buy so if for any reason you want to check the car out in person or have any questions, do so before you bid.  And lastly if you don't have an established Ebay account or over 10 transactions contact me before you bid or your bid will be cancelled.  Thanks

Stolen '57 Chevy Returned To Owner After 30 Years

Fri, Feb 21 2014

Three decades after it was stolen, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has been returned to a Northern California man - in better shape than when he originally owned it. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports Ian "Skip" Wilson was shocked to get a call from the California Highway Patrol informing him that his long-lost Chevy was taken off an Australia-bound cargo ship. The 65-year-old says the car has had a lot of work done on it since it disappeared from his Lake County home in 1984. It was returned with a monogrammed interior, 17-inch racing wheels, rack-and-pinion steering and a 350-horsepower V-8 engine. The retired mechanic says the two-door was in sorry shape when he bought it for $375 in 1975 with plans for fixing it up. Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.

This is how GM is hiding new Chevy Volt in public

Wed, Oct 1 2014

General Motors is letting the public know that, well, it's not about to let the public know anything else about the next-generation Chevrolet Volt. But the automaker is willing to talk about its camouflaging process for upcoming versions of the extended-range plug-in. So it's a half-hearted secret, at best. GM actually has a "camouflage engineer" charged with creating ways to disguise the styling of new vehicles. In the Volt's case, the company is applying black and white swirly color patterns on top of the materials, such as plastics, vinyl and foam, that are used liberally across the body. It's all part of a teaser campaign that started last month with pictures of part the 2016 Volt. Earlier this month, GM said it was keeping track of Volt drivers' habits as it works on the next-gen model. The company noted that more than four out of five trips are being made in all-electric driving mode, and that 60 percent of Volt owners use a plain-old 100-volt outlet to recharge their cars. The car is slated to make its global debut at Detroit's North American International Auto Show next January, and the early word is that performance and all-electric range will be improved (we should hope so). The car will also be sleeker. By how much, we can't tell yet, because of those darn swirly patterns. GM's got more non-details in its press release below. Engineers charged with hiding styling while vehicle testing proceeds in public DETROIT – The styling of the next-generation Chevrolet Volt is one of the automotive world's best-kept secrets. Keeping customers and media eager to see the successor to the groundbreaking original at bay until the new Volt debuts at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January is tricky business. First, it is engineers, not designers, who are charged with creating camouflage that balances styling secrecy with the need to validate the Volt and its systems in public. "If it were up to me it would be a shoebox driving down the road," said Lionel Perkins, GM camouflage engineer. "The design team wants us to cover more of the vehicle and the engineering team needs to have enough of the vehicle's weight and aero exposed so that the tests in the development process are consistent with the product that will come to market." The engineers responsible for the "cool" designs covering the car might deserve style points but their efforts are intended strictly to hide the metal beneath.
