 1971 Chevelle Super Sport
The engine is the original born with power plant. I would assume the rest of the drive train is also. It looks to have never been out. The engine runs very good starts right up.  I replaced the spark plugs and wires.  The engine suffix code is CGC. Missing is the original intake, carb, exhaust manifolds and air cleaner.

The car does have some rust in the floors and trunk as well as the drivers rocker and quarter.  See pics.  The upper half of the car is good restorable shape. The doors open and shut very well.  The deck lid is real good as well as the original hood.  It has the very common rust in the lower rear corners of the front fenders.  It has been repainted a long time ago with single stage paint.
The interior will need redone. The headliner has mouse holes. Door panels shows wear. Carpet is good seat covers are not useable.  The dash carrier is in great shape which is the main reason I bought this car. I was going to replace it with a lesser quality dash and use it on my 70 project.  When I got it home I found someone cut a hole in the glove box area. The radio holes are intact.

The build sheet was found in the lower seat cushion.  You can see the Z15 Super Sport Option.

The car does have some issues that i will list.
1-  left rear window broken  I do have one that will be included in the sale
2- The windshield is cracked- I will include a used one with the sale.
3- The previous owner could not find the keys so we had to drill the trunk lock out and damaged the steering column.  I will also include another column with the sale.
4- brake pedal goes to the floor.
5- 72 Grill and turn signals for a unknown reason
6-right rear frame rail rust see pic,

The car is located 1 hour north of Indy.  Delivery maybe available up to 250 miles 1 way at $1.10 a mile. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  765-206-0350 Steve .Inspection is encouraged an welcome before this ad expires. Title is  open and ready for a new owner. Chevrolet considering midsize crossover to slot between Traverse and Equinox

Mon, Jan 9 2017

Crossovers are the new hotness, and automakers are looking to cash in by offering a size and shape for every customer. With Chevrolet's debut of the new 2018 Traverse in Detroit, which grew ever so slightly compared to the first-generation model, there is now a midsize-crossover-sized hole between the three-row Traverse and the compact Equinox. When asked about that obvious space, a Chevrolet spokesperson told us the company is looking into the possibility of expanding its crossover lineup. It should be a relatively simple thing to do, since all it would take is reskinning and rechristening the GMC Acadia with a bow tie, and we all know how much GM loves platform sharing. Although they're now different sizes, the new Acadia and Traverse still use the same platform; the Acadia is now on a short-wheelbase version of the C1XX while the Traverse uses long-wheelbase C1XX parts. A short-wheelbase Chevy built on the C1XX likely would be differentiated visually from both the Acadia and the larger Traverse. It may seem like flooding the lineup with more and more models would cannibalize sales of existing ones, but Chevrolet said it would rather have customers stay within the brand rather than going to another automaker. There have been whispers that some form of the Blazer name (possibly TrailBlazer) may make a return on a midsizer, but if it does don't expect an old-school body-on-frame SUV like the old one. In the end, if Chevy builds it, customers will come. Related Video:

Next-gen Chevy Volt will get 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine

Tue, Oct 28 2014

As General Motors gets ready to unveil the new Chevy Volt at the Detroit Auto Show in January, it's starting to reveal a few more details about the updated plug-in hybrid. Today should be fruitful on that front, thanks to an event GM is hosting today that focuses on the new Volt, and we've just had the first bit of new: a bigger engine is coming. Since the beginning, the Volt has used a 1.4-liter, four-cylinder engine as a range extender when the battery runs dry. The second-generation model will instead get a slightly larger 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that will be built in Flint, MI. That's a step up from the various engines that have been a part of the 2016 Volt's rumored mills, everything from a 1.0-liter or 1.2-liter three-cylinder to a 2.0-liter turbo. The confirmation about the new 1.5-liter powerplant was found in Automotive News, where we also heard again that GM is going to start building the new Volt's electric drive unit in Detroit, moving production up from Mexico. We will have more information on the 2016 Chevy Volt later today.

Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.
