ok , here we have a all matching numbers 396 ss chevelle real cowl hood car !! and it works it has a turbo 400 and 12 bolt rear end with all the goodies the motor number is 10k131414 / ti106ctw trans num 70cf131414 the rear is coded for the car cast date j 10 69 oct 69 build date 11 c = 3rd week of nov 69 kansas the car was orig green on green and was restored about 7 years ago and buy did they do a great job it has all leather interior and a vintage air cond system that will freeze you out !! the radio and all lights and gauges work as they should the interior is very very nice the paint is very nice it shows a little wear from driving however a few roda chips and such but will still win many shows thmetal is all orignal except fo one lower rear quarter the driver side but it was done very well and you cannot tell the car has all the orignal sway bars and front disc brakes it is a true classic and really drives awsome come ant test drive it oh and yes the orignal cowl hood works!!!! everything on this car works as it should you can drive it anywhere !!!! call with any questions john 352 817 8985

Car and Driver 10Best list cracked by Tesla Model S, BMW 3 Series left off
Fri, Nov 21 2014Car and Driver is keeping new blood pumping into its annual 10Best cars list with three new entries making it on for 2015 and a perennial favorite falling off. Among the biggest shocks this year is that the BMW 3 Series and 4 Series are no longer named, despite years of some portion of that lineup earning a mention. In another surprise, the Tesla Model S (specifically in S 60 trim to fit under the $80,000 cost cap) makes it to the 2015 roster and is the only electrically motivated member of the group. Despite the loss of the 3 Series, BMW isn't entirely shut out this year, because the M235i gets its name on the list. Car and Driver argues that the little coupe feels like a welcome throwback to the E46 chassis M3 of the early 2000s. In addition to the Model S, the final newbie to the annual group is the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The inclusion of these new members knocks the Audi A6/A7 family and Ford Fiesta ST out from the 2014 rundown. The other seven models carry over from last year, including the Cadillac CTS, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Honda Accord, Mazda3, Mazda6, Porsche Boxster/Cayman and Volkswagen Golf/GTI. The 2015 10Best cars list certainly seems to have something for everyone from the hot hatch fan to the family man and even the green car driver, thanks to the addition of the Tesla. Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
