The car is very solid with many new and rebuilt parts. Engine, transmission, and suspension have all been rebuilt in the last 500 miles. There are some blemishes on the paint and on a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 7. The cars original color was Artesian Turquoise. The top and upholstery are in very good condition. This car is very straight and shows no sign of being wrecked. A patch panel has been put in the trunk, but there are no other signs of rust. The car has been well taken care of, and as far as I know, never been restored. Remember, this car is 47 years old, and a lot of the interior and rubber is original. The only other issues are that the radio and the fan motor do not work."
This auction is for a 1966 Chevy Chevelle Malibu convertible in good condition. I have $10,000 worth of receipts for the engine, transmission, and suspension rebuild. There are 2 inch lowering spindles in the front including a front disc brake conversion. I am not a mechanic, but I will answer any questions to the best of my ability.
The car is available for local pick up in Orange, CA. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. A $500 deposit via Paypal is due within 24 hours of the auction closing. The balance is due at time of pickup via cash or cashiers check.

GM Recalling 370,000 Trucks For Fire Risk
Mon, Jan 13 2014DETROIT (AP) - General Motors is recalling 370,000 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups from the 2014 model year to fix software that could cause the exhaust components to overheat and start a fire. The recall includes 303,000 trucks in the U.S. and 67,000 in Canada and Mexico. All of the trucks involved have 4.3-liter or 5.3-liter engines. GM said eight fires have been reported, but no injuries. One garage was damaged, the company said. All of the incidents occurred in cold weather. The company is asking customers not to leave their trucks idling unattended. GM dealers will reprogram the software for free. The company will inform owners starting Jan. 16. The major recall announcement, which came on Saturday, marred the Silverado's winning of the 2014 North American Truck of the Year Award at the Detroit Auto Show on Monday. Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
