I'm listing this car for a customer of mine. It is a very nice driver quality 66 Chevelle convertible. It was frame up restored several years ago. It has a rebuilt 73 454, Muncie 4 speed trans., and a 10 bolt single traction rear. The paint is very nice with only a couple of small imperfections. I would rate it a solid 8. The convertible top is power and brand new. The interior is also new, including the seat belts. It has power steering, power front disk brakes, Hurst shifter, after market AC that blows cold and a newer AM/FM stereo/CD radio. The trunk and floor pan is rock solid as well. It has a Flowmaster exhaust system on it. The tires are 216/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear. This is a really nice solid driver and it's ready to go anywhere. It has a large aluminum radiator and runs cool in the Fl. heat. The car is located in Jupiter and can be seen by appointment. For any other questions please feel free to call Mike @ 954-465-9357 anytime before 8pm eastern time.

2014 Corvette Stingray meets Tesla Model S in drag strip showdown
Wed, Jan 29 2014They come from two different worlds and have little in common. The Tesla Model S P85 is the sportiest version of this paradigm-punching sedan from California, while the 2014 Corvette Stingray Z51 is a performance-enhanced version of Michigan's recently-updated sports car stalwart. The West Coast car seats five adults and eats electrons like Popeye eats spinach, the Easterner has two passenger places and, surprisingly, sips gasoline like one might bourbon. An attribute they do happen to share is extreme quickness. This similarity is all the excuse Drag Times needed to set the vehicles beside each other at the Palm Beach International Raceway for a bit of mano-a-mano quarter-mile combat. Fortunately enough, cameras were rolling for each of two bouts down the blacktop and the results recorded for our edification and enlightenment. The winner? We won't spoil it for you, but let's just say it's really, really close. How close? Scroll below and watch the video for yourself. Just be warned, the results may surprise you. Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.
