Fire Red Z-24 Chevy Convertible on 2040-cars

For sale is a 1992 Chevy Z-24 convertible. As the photos show, the exterior is in very good condition with no dents or rust. The undercarriage is also very clean. I am third owner and car has always been garaged. Top is in decent and serviceable condition, glass rear window, up and down very nicely. Power windows are slow up/down and most likely need new actuators. Power locks a little stiff. Interior fabric needs some love but is serviceable as is. All foam in seats seems to be in good condition. Drivers seat adjustable on two planes and was very comfortable for the Route 66 tour. New windshield in past 18 months, rest of glass in very good condition. Custom JVC stereo system with CD player, amps, speakers, woofers. Tires still have life, matched set of Perrelli's, alloy wheels.
I will do my best to answer any questions within 24hrs. Why am I selling? I've made the Route 66 trip (I recommend it to everyone) which is in part why I bought the car several years ago from a friend (who got married and the new bride didn't want it in the garage). |

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a Swiss hit
Mon, 04 Mar 2013We've just received an early peek at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible here at the Geneva Motor Show. General Motors was kind enough to let us attend the final dress-rehearsal for its press conference scheduled for tomorrow's opening media day, and we've come away with a good look at the droptop C7 in person.
In the metal, the new Corvette Convertible seems somehow less avant-garde than the Coupe, even in Z51 Performance Package guise. That's not necessarily a bad thing - more of an observation. That initial impression may be because the C7's new greenhouse is one of its most prominent departures from Corvettes past. While we didn't get to see the top erected, there's no rear side window in the stock images that Chevy has already released, suggesting the C7 convertible's profile will look a lot like its C6 predecessor. And with the new power tonneau cover in place, there are also no rear ducts that come as part of the Z51 package (they've been moved under the car).
As with its predecessor, the tonneau is a handsome double-bubble piece, and the body-color "waterfall" element into the cabin between the seats has made it to the new model as well. Thus, the overall look with the top down should be a bit more familiar to prior-gen C6 owners - if you're one of those put off by the C7's new shape, you'll probably appreciate the convertible bodystyle more than the coupe.
Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4
Wed, 29 May 2013Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!
