Any questions please email..........
SOLD NEW in 1987 AT "Lindsay Chevrolet" 60 Center st. Pittsfield Mass.
Awhile back I stumbled across this very sweet "Woodie Wagon" and since I can't keep everything I see I guess I will have to part with it. Someone will really enjoy this vintage wagon. We are a small dealer in Manchester ct. and are offering this very nice old wagon.
Some history with the car ................... The owner was a 72 year old woman born in 1941 who used the car very little and worked hard to keep it as nice as humanly possible. She acquired the car in 2004 from (believe it or not ......) from her mother. So the car has been kept it in the family for 26 years. We have a clear Connecticut title with the vehicle.
The car has a nice smooth + quiet running 305 V8 with an automatic transmission that shifts excellent. Air conditioning that blows cold and power windows and a 6 way power drivers seat along with cruise control that all work well. It also has a 2 way tailgate with 3rd seat , . The power window in the tailgate also works well. This is Not a rattle trap............... it is still a very tight car.......... just what you would expect with a 44,000 mile car.....
NON-SMOKER owned. The cigarette lighter does work and is unused.
The interior shows very nice. The cloth seats are not worn or soiled. The rugs are also still very nice. I would suggest either replacing or re-glueing the cloth headliner that is drooping. The original owners manual is also in the glove box. As far as the body goes It does have some small nicks or dings from use here and there but they are insignificant considering the age of the vehicle. I believe the paint on the car to be original and still retains a nice shine, The underside shows some light hazeing but no rust that's nasty or heavily scabby. We recently replaced the mid exhaust pipe and muffler with new. The spare tire is still Brand new and stored in the rear compartment.
All in All,,,,,, not a museum piece but a very very pretty wagon !!!!!! someones gonna get a real "SWEET RIDE"
if you care to look at the history of the vehicle you can hit the "Autocheck" icon near the top of the listing. It includes some different mileage at different intervals. I compared "Autocheck with carfax and see carfax has a glitch on 12/27/96 where the car had 11,021 miles and see the emmissions station made a typo and put a one in front of the 11,021 then it's clear after that all the mileage lined up in their report. They must have hit the 1 key once to much when typing . I guess we can't all be perfect. The mileage however is very correct. We also have a federal odometer statement from the woman showing the correct mileage of 44k miles but that's very obvious by looking and driving this wagon. If you are a Connecticut resident sales tax will be charged at 6.35% If you are out of state we will collect No sales tax.
I am looking for a 300 dollar pay pal deposit from the winning bidder immediately following auction end. And as usual with collector vehicles it will be sold as is . This description is mearly my opinion. For piece of mind I would suggest looking at the car before bidding or send an independent inspection service to check out the car. On Oct-21-13 at 05:45:46 PDT, seller added the following information: THANKS FOR ALL THE COMPLIMENTS AND QUESTIONS ALREADY. ANY OTHER QUESTIONS PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS |

GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches
Thu, 20 Dec 2012General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
GM earnings rise 1% as buyers pay more for popular pickups
Thu, Aug 1 2019DETROIT — General Motors said Thursday that higher prices for popular pickup trucks and SUVs helped overcome slowing global sales and profit rose by 1% in the second quarter. The Detroit automaker said it made $2.42 billion, or $1.66 per share, from April through June. Adjusting for restructuring costs, GM made $1.64 per share, blowing by analyst estimates of $1.44. Quarterly revenue fell 2% to $36.06 billion, but still beat estimates. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $35.97 billion. Global sales fell 6% to 1.94 million vehicles led by declines in North America and Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. The company says sales in China were weak, and it expects that to continue through the year. In the United States, customers paid an average of $41,461 for a GM vehicle during the quarter, an increase of 2.2%, as buyers went for loaded-out pickups and SUVs, according to the Edmunds.com auto pricing site. The U.S. is GM's most profitable market. Chief Financial Officer Dhivya Suryadevara said she expects the strong pricing to continue, especially as GM rolls out a diesel pickup and new heavy-duty trucks in the second half of the year. "We think the fundamentals do remain strong, especially in the truck market," she said, adding that strength in the overall economy and aging trucks now on the road should help keep the trend going. Light trucks accounted for 83.1% of GM's sales in the quarter, and pickup truck sales rose 8.5% as GM transitioned to new models of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, according to Edmunds, which provides content to The Associated Press. As usual, GM made most of its money in North America, reporting $3 billion in pretax earnings. International operations including China broke even, while the company spent $300 million on its GM Cruise automated vehicle unit. Its financial arm made $500 million in pretax income. Suryadevara said GM saw $700 million in savings during the quarter from restructuring actions announced late last year that included cutting about 8,000 white-collar workers through layoffs, buyouts and early retirements. The company also announced plans to close five North American factories, shedding another 6,000 jobs. About 3,000 factory workers in the U.S. whose jobs were eliminated at four plants will be placed at other factories, but they could have to relocate. GM expects the restructuring to generate $2 billion to $2.5 billion in annual cost savings by the end of this year.
VW, Rivian, Nissan, BMW, Genesis, Audi and Volvo lose EV tax credits starting tomorrow
Mon, Apr 17 2023The U.S. Treasury said Monday that Volkswagen, BMW, Nissan, Rivian, Hyundai and Volvo electric vehicles will lose access to a $7,500 tax credit under new battery sourcing rules. The Treasury said the new requirements effective Tuesday will also cut by half credits for the Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Rear Wheel Drive to $3,750 but other Tesla models will retain the full $7,500 credit. Vehicles losing credits Tuesday are the BMW 330e, BMW X5 xDrive45e, Genesis Electrified GV70, Nissan Leaf , Rivian R1S and R1T, Volkswagen ID.4 as well as the plug-in hybrid electric Audi Q5 TFSI e Quattro and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) electric Volvo S60. The Swedish carmaker is 82%-owned by China’s Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. The rules are aimed at weaning the United States off dependence on China for EV battery supply chains and are part of President Joe Biden's effort to make 50% of U.S. new vehicle sales by 2030 EVs or PHEVs. Hyundai said in a statement it was committed to its long-range EV plans and that it "will utilize key provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act to accelerate the transition to electrification." Rivian declined to comment and the other automakers could not immediately be reached for comment. Treasury also disclosed General Motors electric Chevrolet Bolt and Bolt EUV will qualify for the full $7,500 tax credit. GM said earlier it expected at least some of its EVS would qualify for the $7,500 tax credit under the new rules, including the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq and forthcoming Chevrolet Equinox EV SUV and Blazer EV SUV. Treasury said all GM EVs will qualify. Earlier, Ford Motor and Chrysler-parent Stellantis said most of their electric and PHEV models would see tax credits halved to $3,750 on April 18. Treasury confirmed the automakers' calculations. The rules were announced last month and mandated by Congress in August as part of the $430 billion Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). The IRA requires 50% of the value of battery components be produced or assembled in North America to qualify for $3,750, and 40% of the value of critical minerals sourced from the United States or a free trade partner for a $3,750 credit. The law required vehicles to be assembled in North America to qualify for any tax credits, which in August eliminated nearly 70% of eligible models and on Jan. 1 new price caps and limits on buyers income took effect.
