ONE FAMILY OWNED 1987 CHEVROLET "CAPRICE ESTATE WAGON"

44,210 MILES AND DRIVES STRAIGHT AND STRONG !!!!!

SOLD NEW  in 1987 AT  "Lindsay Chevrolet"  60 Center st. Pittsfield Mass.

Awhile back I stumbled across this very sweet "Woodie  Wagon" and since I can't keep everything I see I guess I will have to part with it. Someone will really enjoy this vintage wagon.

Some history with the car ...................   The  owner was a 72 year old woman born in 1941 who used the car very little and worked hard to keep it as nice as humanly possible.  She acquired the car in 2004 from (believe it or not ......) from her mother who bought the car brand new.  So the two woman were the only registered owners and they kept it in the family for 26 years.  I have a clear Connecticut title I received with the car along with the Bill of sale that I will pass along to the new owner .

The car has a nice smooth + quiet running 305 V8  with an automatic transmission that shifts excellent.  Air conditioning that blows cold and power windows and a 6 way power drivers seat along with cruise control that all work well.  It also has a 2 way tailgate with 3rd seat , .  The power window in the tailgate also works well.   This is Not a rattle trap............... it is still a very tight car.......... just what you would expect with a 44,000 mile car.....

NON-SMOKER  owned.  The cigarette lighter does work and is unused.

The interior shows very nice. The cloth seats are not worn or soiled.  The rugs are also still very nice. I would suggest either replacing or re-glueing the cloth headliner that is drooping.  The original owners manual is also in the glove box.

As far as the body goes It does have some small nicks or dings from use here and there but they are insignificant considering the age of the vehicle.  I believe the paint on the car to be original and still retains a nice shine,  The underside shows some light hazeing  but no rust that's nasty or heavily scabby.   I recently had the mid exhaust pipe and muffler replaced with new.   The spare tire is still Brand new and stored in the rear compartment.

All in All,,,,,,  not a museum piece but a very very pretty wagon !!!!!!   someones gonna get a real "SWEET RIDE"

Any questions please email..........

I am looking for a 300 dollar pay pal deposit from the winning bidder immediately following auction end.  Selling as is . This description is mearly my opinion.  For piece of mind I would suggest looking at the car before bidding or send an independent inspection service to check out the car.

These are the 'Greenest' and 'Meanest' cars in 2015

Fri, Feb 6 2015

As has become tradition, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) has come up with a ranking of what it refers to as the "greenest" cars of 2015, and, by way of contrast, a list of the so-called "meanest" cars, so those who value eco-friendliness over all else can choose which vehicles they should or should not consider buying. As you may expect, electric cars make up the majority of the greenest cars on the list, but, perhaps surprisingly to many, the Tesla Model S didn't make the cut. It's worth noting, too, that where the electricity an owner uses to charge their electric vehicle has a big impact on its overall environmental impact. "A car that is charged using electricity generated from natural gas or renewables is going to have significantly less impact on the environment than one charged on a coal-heavy grid," says ACEEE lead vehicle analyst Shruti Vaidyanathan. The ACEEE's list for 2015 looks very different than it did in 2014. It's an interesting collection, though – and we're sure this goes without saying, really – we'd recommend doing a bit more research into each vehicle and how it might fit into your daily life before making any purchase decisions. Chevy Cruze CNG available from Crazy Diamond Performance

Thu, Aug 7 2014

Anyone out there who can somehow find a second way to link Pink Floyd to natural gas vehicles gets a prize. Because so far, we have one Michigan-based company called Crazy Diamond Performance (Shine On You Crazy Diamond being a longtime Floyd fave) that's setting out to convert Chevrolet Cruze vehicles to run on compressed natural gas (CNG). All in the name of cheaper fuel and domestic security, of course. Crazy Diamond says it can offer a converted CNG-powered Chevy Cruze for a price as low as $26,000. That four-cylinder version has 130 horsepower and an 8.5-gasoline-gallon-equivalent capacity that provides a full-tank range of as many as 250 miles. Pony up another $2,000 or so and the peppier, turbocharged CNG Cruze can be yours. The company says it will provide a 100,000-mile powertrain warranty and is trying to get EPA certification for its conversions. The selling points are cheaper fuel (CNG is about half the cost of regular gasoline in some parts of the country) and homeland security (CNG reduces dependence on foreign oil). The only production passenger vehicle CNG in the US is the Honda Civic CNG, which sells in very limited numbers. Check out Crazy Diamond's flyer here. 2016 Lamborghini Huracan at the Horse Thief Mile | AutoblogVR

Tue, Sep 13 2016

AutoblogVR returns to the Horse Thief Mile in the Mojave Desert to put the Lamborghini Huracan to the test. It's everything we want a modern supercar to be: Powerful, striking in appearance, and a riot to drive. But does it live up to Lamborghini's unique performance heritage? Senior Editor Greg Migliore reviews the Huracan on Horse Thief's unyielding curves and elevation changes to find out. Meanwhile, Autoblog Editor-in-Chief Mike Austin reviews a different kind of performance car – the Chevy SS at the IndyCar circuit on Detroit's Belle Isle. He's ably assisted by ace driver Simon Pagenaud. You must watch his hot lap! The SS is old-school V8 American muscle wrapped in Australian design and engineering. This AutoblogVR segment also launches on the app Sept. 13, and the teaser follows the Huracan preview above. Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll preview them here on Autoblog, but for the full immersive experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too!
