1996 Chevrolet Caprice 9c1 Lt1 Police Package Unmarked Rust Free California Car on 2040-cars

Year:1996 Mileage:94539
Location:

Byron, California, United States

Byron, California, United States

For sale is this '96 Caprice equipped with the 9C1 police package and the legendary LT1 5.7 motor. This car has always been an unmarked administrative car, the only signs of police service are the holes where an inside mirror light was located and one plugged antenna hole in the trunk lid. It still has it's original paint in the very desirable factory color of dark gray green metallic. This Caprice was recently retired from the county where it served since new. The Caprice runs great with tons of power from it's LT1, the transmission shifts perfectly and everything (including the air conditioning) works as it should. The water pump looks to have been recently replaced. The interior is in excellent condition, there are no rips in the seats. I replaced the carpet with a correct replacement, the original carpet was worn on the left side like all of these seem to. As stated above the paint is original and shines very well. There are some minor dings and scratches as to be expected on an 18 year old car but most importantly there is no rust. This car has always been in the Northern California/Bay Area. If you ever wanted to buy an unmarked fresh out of service Caprice but thought you missed your chance this may be your last . Most Caprices seem to have been modified with big wheels, stereos, etc. and generally beat up after they came out of service. A picture of the SPID sticker is included in the auction to answer any questions regarding equipment . This Caprice is currently registered until February 2015, there is a clear title IN MY NAME and it has a valid smog certificate. THE RESERVE WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED SO PLEASE DON'T ASK Zero feedback bidders must provide their contact information PRIOR to bidding or your bid will be cancelled and future bids blocked. The buyer agrees to pay a $500.00 non refundable deposit through paypal within 24 hours of the auction end. The balance is due within 7 days of auction end. The balance is to be paid in the form of cash (in person), cashier's check or bank wire transfer. Paypal is not acceptable for the balance due. The car will have to be picked up before April 15th. Shipping costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer, I can put you in contact with a shipper I've used in the past and recommend Car is sold AS IS

2015 Chevrolet Cruze spied on its home turf

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

The next Chevrolet Cruze isn't set to go into production for about another year, and we're just now seeing prototypes of the new compact running around here in the States. Not much more has been revealed since we saw the car blasting through the snow in Europe, but we can still clearly see new design elements like the larger grille, slimmer headlamps and redesigned taillamps.
Our spy photographers worked up a composite image of this Cruze prototype alongside the current model, and here, we can clearly see some big visual changes are in store for the new model. The 2015 Cruze's hood slopes downward more dramatically, the windshield is more heavily raked, and the roofline looks more fluid overall. The next-generation Cruze will ride on the new global Delta platform that will also underpin other General Motors vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt and Equinox.
As for what's under the hood, we expect the normal range of gasoline four-cylinder engines (both naturally aspirated and turbocharged), and the compact's new turbodiesel four should carry over, as well. Have a look at the full brace of spy photos in the gallery above.

Corvette Stolen In Detroit Returned To Owner After 33 Years

Wed, Jun 25 2014

A Detroit man had his stolen Corvette returned 33 years after it disappeared while parked on one of Detroit's main drags, according to ABC 7. The last time George Talley saw his 1979 Corvette was on a July day in 1981, when it disappeared from its parking spot on Jefferson Avenue in Detroit. He had given up hope of ever seeing his car again, until a phone call from AAA brought his sporty ride home. Authorities had come across a Corvette with a questionable VIN in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. When they ran the number Talley's stolen car report came up. The car is still in pretty good shape and only has 47,000 miles on the odometer. Talley wasn't sure how he could get the car back home, but General Motors stepped in and agreed to cover the cost of bringing the 'Vette home. Talley has always had a passion for Detroit-made muscle cars. "I've always liked Corvettes. It was attractive. The ladies like 'em," Talley told ABC 7.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
