Hello & thank you for viewing our auction, up for grabs is this 1-owner 1988 Chevy caprice with 72k original miles, I recently purchased this classic from my local Chevy dealer that I wholesale from this vehicle was purchased new in this store and traded back in by the original owner. The exterior of this car is 100% original! The car has no signs of paint or body work. The original paint shows its wear from the 26 years of use it received but overall it’s all there and complete. Please keep in mind this is no show car at all just an elderly owned low mileage 1988 Chevy caprice that was purchased to be driven. The body as you can view in the pictures has some blemished but overall not bad at all, underneath the doors are in excellent shape with no rust it is very hard to find an older caprice with solid doors. Please take a look at all of the detailed pictures listed below. The interior of this 88 caprice is in great shape for the year it does not show much wear and it is nice and clean. The front bench seat is nice and comfortable and has barely any wear. This car was a non-smoker vehicle and it clearly shows it. All door panels are in great condition. The headliner on the vehicle is saggy but not ripped. 4.3L V6 WITH 72K original miles! Yes these are original miles this vehicle was traded in to the local Chevy dealer by the original owner who purchased it at that same dealer new! The car fires up instantly and runs / drives and sounds great. This car was always serviced regularly it recently had an oil change, flush and some hoses replaced. Automatic transmission shifts very smooth. Factory a/c and great heat. This vehicle recently passed NJ inspection good until 2015. Some 2012-13 Chevy Volts may not have enough battery coolant
Mon, Jun 23 2014The 2012 and 2013 model year Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in vehicle may have a battery glitch caused by low coolant levels. No recall has been issued and General Motors is taking care of the issue at no cost to drivers. Some of the affected Volts may have lower-than-advisable coolant levels because of some pesky air pockets in the car's cooling circuit. When the coolant levels get too low, the charging system for the battery powering the car's onboard generator (i.e. the Rechargeable Energy Storage System, or the RESS) may be shut down, turning one's Volt into a run-of-the-mill gas-powered car, and a pricey one at that. The Car Connection says GM is advising owners of the '12 and '13 Volts to contact their local Chevy dealer for a free fix. GM representatives didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from AutoblogGreen for more details. We believe this is a separate issue than the one that brought 8,000 Volts back to the dealers for a battery coolant fix, what GM called a "voluntary customer satisfaction effort," a few years ago. General Motors sold 23,094 Chevy Volts last year after selling 23,461 Volts in 2012, so that fix-it list may get fairly lengthy. Check out a GM-Volt.com user thread related to this issue here. *UPDATE: Chevrolet spokesman Randy Fox confirmed in an e-mail to AutoblogGreen that the company issued a service bulletin to dealers that they may need to top off coolant levels on certain Volts because of the issue, and that the vehicle will "return to normal charging operation" once that's done.

The 2016 Green Truck of the Year, the second time the award has been handed out, is being decided by judges from Green Car Journal and the San Antonio Auto & Truck Show. This year the award is joined by the new 2016 Commercial Green Car of the Year, which crowns one of the little vans increasingly used by small business as cargo and delivery vehicles. The Green Truck of the Year finalists are the Chevrolet Colorado Duramax (pictured), Ford F-150, GMC Canyon Duramax, Nissan Titan XD, and Toyota Tacoma. The first three of those were on last year's list, but since they are completely new or upgraded for 2016 - Ford with its all-aluminum body, the General Motors twins with the new diesel Duramax engine - they qualify for entry again. The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel won last year. The Commercial Green Car finalists are the Chevrolet City Express, Ford Transit Connect, Mercedes-Benz Metris, Nissan NV200, and Ram ProMaster City.
