This car was professionally restored in 2004, and has been very well garage kept for car shows, and sunny day drives since. Here is your chance to own one of the most sought after body styles GM ever made and they are steadily going up in value each year. This car offers the following: POWERTRAIN This Camaro has a very strong running 350 motor with mild cam. It is fueled by a Holley Double Pumper with electric choke, Weiand high rise aluminum intake, Billet polished aluminum valve covers, K&N filter. A Accel distributor and cap, new MSD wires, new hoses, new belts, and new Battery. It has long tube Headers, dual 2 1/2" Exhaust with Turbo mufflers ran out the back. The trans is 350 Turbo, with factory horse shoe shifter, that shifts very smooth and is fun to drive. The rear is a 12 bolt Posi with and a 3:73 Gear. This Camaro has power steering and power brakes. Mechanically this car needs nothing. The car runs very strong and responsive and sounds awesome. EXTERIOR This Camaro has a slick paint job, dentless, rust free, straight body. The car was professionally done with GM colors, its very slick, and shows mirror like reflections as can be seen in the pictures. All gaps and fitment of panels are nice, doors open and close easily. All door, hood, and trunk jams finished out nice. The car has a steel cowl hood, stripes are buried under multible coats of clear. The car has new weatherstrip. All chrome, emblems, and trim is in perfect like new condition. I would rate the paint a strong 9.5 overall. The car has some very minor paint imperfections mostly go unnoticed outside, you have to be right up on to see. It has a light scratch on right fender ( the line in the 4th to last pic is a reflection of a parking line not the actual small scatch) a chip on rear spoiler, and on drivers quarter up near the window trim, and roof has a few small spots in drip rail. Again hardly noticeable, but worth mentioning. See last 4 Pics. The undercarriage very solid. The floors, frame rails, trunk pan, shock towers are all original and rock solid. All glass is nice. The car also has a like new set of Crager SS wheels, with 15 X 7 fronts and 15 X 8 Rears and New tires 215 70 15 Fronts, and 245 60 15 Rears. INTERIOR This Camaro has a very clean interior. The car has perfect front and rear seats with no rips or tears. The carpet is also clean. The door panels front and rear are in good condtion, and rest of the dash and console I believe is original and still in good condition as can be seen in the pictures. The dash pad has a small crack in the middle top. The headliner and rear sail panels are in nice condition also. The car has front and rear Gm seat belts. All exterior lights, dash lights, turn signals, interior lights, Heater controls, and gauges work properly. Here is an opportunity to own a turn key muscle car, just in time for summer, that will turn heads at every corner. Winning bidder must pay full amount within 7 days of auction end. GM drops diesel engines for 2020 Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain crossovers
Fri, Jul 12 2019GM is officially discontinuing the diesel engine in the Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain for the 2020 model year. The 1.6-liter turbodiesel was always an oddball of an engine in the compact crossover segment, and now the experiment has come to an end. The Car Connection initially reported the news, and a GMC spokesperson, Stuart Fowle, confirmed it to us this morning. “A huge majority of our Terrain customers have opted for one of our two gas engines," says Fowle. We canÂ’t say this eventuality comes as a massive surprise, as we saw news from couple of months ago that GM was dropping all-wheel drive from the diesel-powered cars for 2020. Low demand was cited as the reason for that cull, and itÂ’s the same for the little GM crossovers this time around, too. These vehicles were the only ones powered with a diesel engine in their class, but thatÂ’s going to be changing. Just as GM is going away from the diesel, Mazda is finally bringing its diesel to market in the CX-5. YouÂ’ll only be able to get that engine in the most expensive ($42,045) trim level, combined with all-wheel drive, though. The cheapest Equinox diesel starts at a comparably low $30,795. ThatÂ’s a $2,400 upcharge over the base 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder, and the value is questionable. Mileage is better, but diesel fuel is more expensive. Towing capability didnÂ’t increase over the base engineÂ’s 1,500-pound capacity, but the extra torque around town was nice. As diesels go in the U.S., this one was rather rough and noisy, possibly contributing to some turning their noses up after a test drive. Perhaps another reason for its demise was that the much quicker 2.0-liter turbo Equinox was only $100 more than the diesel. This engine offered significantly better towing at 3,500 pounds, too. You can read all about what we thought of the diesel in our first drive review here, but the 2019 model year is the last one if you had it on your shortlist. This article has been updated to indicate the source.
Watch the live reveal of the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra [UPDATE]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012UPDATE: The trucks have been revealed. Click here for all of the official details.
As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1
Thu, 28 Feb 2013During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
