The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Very nice Driver Quality car. It is NOT perfect and has some wear such as a few nicks, light to moderate pitting on chrome, and missing window cranks. The car was repainted about 10 years ago and is in presentable condition. There is one minor dent/scratch on the corner of the hood. Quarter panels were replaced when painted, but there is some bondo on the rockers and may be in other places in a light amount not noticeable to me. Tires are NEW and the battery was replaced recently. Car looks great and is a great driver and would need only minor things to make it perfect."

Real RS/SS car. This is a great driver example of a 67 Camaro RS/SS. According to the Cowl tag, the car is a real RS/SS, with the correct Deluxe interior, Correct 4-Speed Trans, and correct motor size (350). However, the motor is not original to the car, with a stamp tag I believe to be from 71. I also do not know if the trans is original to the car. I do know the car was originally gold. This car looks great, and runs fantastic. The motor was rebuilt 7-8 years ago, and sounds great. The car features a 12 bolt rear end and 4-speed manual. The interior is also in great shape with its original Deluxe Bucket Seats. The floors are all solid as you can see in the pictures. The trunk floor has some rust, but is solid. The car was painted when the motor was rebuilt and it is still very presentable. There are a few nicks and one dent on the corner of the hood from normal wear and tear. There is some bondo on the rockers and lower part of the doors to my knowledge. The Quarter panels were replaced along with the fenders. The Chrome has some light to moderate pitting, but is not horrible. The interior is in great shape, and all that it is missing is a few of the window cranks. The radio is not original and was converted to a 6-disc. The car was taken proper care of and has new tires. It is not a perfect show car, but is a great driver. The car needs some things here and there to make it perfect. The top is in great shape, with only one needle-size hole. It is not a fully restored car, so don't expect one. The car is truly a great car, I just tried to as accurately describe it as possible. The only thing the car needs to my knowledge is the window wiper motor installed which is sitting in the trunk. Everything else works, even the hide-away headlights. I am selling for a cousin who has owned it for over 20 years. If you have any questions please contact me and I will relay them over to him.

The car is for sale locally, so I have the right to end the auction at any time. $500 is due within 24hrs of auction close. The car must be picked up within 7 days of auction close. Buyer is responsible for shipping and pick-up.

2023 Grand National Roadster Show Mega Photo Gallery | Hot rod heaven

Wed, Feb 8 2023

POMONA, Calif. — From an outsider's perspective, it would be easy to assume that the Grand National Roadster Show has always been a Southern California institution. After all, it celebrates the diverse postwar car culture of the region — hot rods, lead sleds, lowriders, and more. However, the show had its roots in NorCal in 1950 when Al Slonaker and his hot rod club showed their custom cars at the Oakland Expo. The GNRS moved to Pomona, California, in 2004. By then it had grown exponentially and seen about a dozen more car customization trends come and go. However, the show and its centerpiece award, the America's Most Beautiful Roadster prize, celebrate what is perhaps the first of those trends: the American hot rod in its purest form. Today, in its 73rd year, the GNRS is the oldest indoor car show in America. Annually it welcomes 500-800 cars, gathered into special themes like Tri-Five Chevys or Volkswagen Bugs. At this year's show, which was last weekend, a special hall was dedicated to pickup trucks built between 1948-98, including mini-trucks, groovy camper bed conversions, and resto-mods.  However, of all the vehicles presented, only nine are eligible for the America's Most Beautiful Roadster award. Winners get their names engraved on a 9-foot-tall perpetual trophy that was, according to The Ultimate Hot Rod Dictionary, the largest in the world when it debuted in 1950. Slonaker chose the word "roadster" initially because "hot rod" bore slightly negative outlaw connotations in 1950. Only American cars built before 1937 of certain body styles — roadsters, roadster pickups, phaetons, touring cars — are eligible, and they cannot have roll-down side windows.  Cars in the running for the cup cannot have been shown anywhere else before their debut at the GNRS.  Contestants for this accolade essentially build their cars to the a platonic ideal of a hot rod. This year the honors went to Jack Chisenhall of San Antonio, Texas, for his "Champ Deuce," a 1932 Ford Roadster. It's exactly what you picture when you think of a hot rod, but distilled to its absolute essence.  Other standouts included "Green Eyes," a two-tone green 1959 Chevy El Camino  with a heavily metal-flaked bed, "Blue Monday," a 1964 Buick Riviera lowrider, and a personal favorite, "Purple Reign," a purple and black 1951 Mercury. Cars may have started out as tools, but there aren't shows like this filled with custom refrigerators.

'Baby Driver' is a car chase movie set to music

Mon, Mar 13 2017

The Fate of the Furious is certainly the 6,000-pound SUV in the garage of automotive movies, but that doesn't mean gearheads are starved for options. The upcoming film Baby Driver looks to be a winner for car guys, featuring exciting chases with cars including a "hawk-eye" Impreza WRX, a Dodge Challenger, and a 1980s Chevy Caprice. The movie is written and directed by Edgar Wright, whom you may know as the man behind movies such as Sean of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. And based on the two trailers released so far, seen above and below, it's about a young man by the name of Baby, who is a getaway driver for criminals. He's apparently the best in the business, and the secret to his success is the music he listens to while he's driving. He also wants out, but his boss, played by Kevin Spacey, has no intention of letting him go. Spacey is one of a number of major stars in the film, including Jamie Foxx and John Hamm. The driving action shown in the trailers definitely looks entertaining. The WRX is seen doing an array of drifts and J-turns. There is some driving precision on display here that wouldn't be out of place in a Gymkhana video. And it looks like Wright's attention to detail in his shots and transitions, as well as some solid comedy relief, are all going to be present. The film comes out this August.
