THE CAR WAS SANDED AND PRIMED IN FILL AND SAND PRIMER, THE DOOR JAMS , FRONT COWL SECTION, UNDERTRUNK AND TRUNK JAMS WERE SANDED PROPERLY AND SHOT WITH A ADHESION PROMOTING SEALER, SO YOU DONT HAVE ANY PEELING LATER, ALL THE PARTS ON THIS CAR WERE SANDED AND PRIMED OFF THE CAR, THEN REASSEMBLED, I WAS PLANING A COLOR CHANGE AND I WANTED IT DONE RIGHT. THE ORIGINAL COLOR ON THIS CAR WAS OLYMPIC GOLD, I WAS LEANING MORE TO A BAHAMA BLUE, I WAS GOING TO HAVE IT SHOT PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY BUT LIKE I SAID PAINT AND BODY SHOPS IN MY AREA TAKE A LONG TIME TO COMPLETE A QUALITY PAINT JOB.

Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica
Fri, 03 Aug 2012If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.
GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches
Thu, 20 Dec 2012General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
2016 Green Truck of the Year, Commercial Green Car of the Year finalists

The 2016 Green Truck of the Year, the second time the award has been handed out, is being decided by judges from Green Car Journal and the San Antonio Auto & Truck Show.
