Want to own the COOLEST and BADEST CAMARO on the block?   ZBLUES is for sale.  I have only had this car for about 4 months.  I did take it to the Sturgis Camaro Rally and it was a blast. A high ranking GM employee who helped developed the 5th Generation Camaro actually awarded this car "Best of Show" out of 227 Camaros.  I have done many custom features to this car to make it unique.  There is literally NO OTHER CAMARO LIKE IT!   Lets get into the details...shall we?

Exterior Features include:
painted ground effects
metallic blue stripe (painted)
white powder coated wheels
calipers painted blue
rotors powder coated blue
Oracle side marker lights (ghosted white so you do you dont see them during the day unless the are on)
painted tail light bezels
custom emblems that change the ZL1 logo to blue (its normally red)
custom hood emblems that say ZBLUES (looks factory)
tinted windows
afterburner tail lights (tinted).. they are sequential and look FANTASTIC
chrome ZL1 license plate holder (oh yeah, that baby comes with the car also)
Oracle dual Halos... they are blue and white.  You can have them just blue or just white...or both.
controller for blue halos allows them to wig wag (like the police cars do)...not advised to do while driving...
Blue LED strips behind the grill (creates a blue effect behind the top and bottom grill ports)

Engine:
Blue carbon fiber engine shroud
Roto Fab CAI (Cold Air Induction) also done blue carbon fiber
Blue carbon panel fuse box
Blue carbon fiber crossmember
Mild to wild exhaust modulator (allows the flaps to be open on the exhaust....makes the car sound cooler)

Interior:
Blue footwells on driver and passenger side
illuminated cup holders
Automatic transmission with paddle shifters (its a blast)

This car has XM satellite Radio/ HD Radio/ Rear Camera/ Pandora and some other stuff I have never used.

Yeah, you could go out and buy a new ZL1 like I did and then take the next 3 months not driving it getting all these custom features on your car.  But why should you do that?  I did it for you!  And I am pricing it cheaper than what you purchase this car new for!

So my question would be....  WHY?  WHY WOULD YOU SELL THIS CAR!!! ARE YOU CRAZY?  Glad you asked.

Although I loved building this car, I have more important things I need to focus on.  Right now my wife's company needs my help and this is most cost effective way to give it to her. Sell the car...use the money for the business and watch it thrive... sounds like a good deal... and it makes sense.  Her company has been built "loan free" and I like it that way.  I sell this car, and we can continue to expand the company for the good.  This is clearly the ONLY REASON I WOULD SELL THIS CAR.

But what are you going to do when its gone?  Another good question.  There is the 2014 Z/28 Coming out.  I can wait a year to get it.  So buy this car, you will not regret it.  And don't worry about that 288R on the windshield.  That was from when I was in Sturgis... I am removing it.

Race Recap: Rolex 24 at Daytona was fast and feisty

Mon, Jan 26 2015

Let the record show that victory at the 2015 Rolex 24 at Daytona went to the No. 02 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Target/Ford EcoBoost Riley DP driven by Verizon IndyCar drivers Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan and NASCAR drivers Jamie McMurray and Kyle Larson. The winner did 740 laps to cover 2,634.3 miles in 24 hours and 57.667 seconds. That's a statement to this year's pace in spite of 18 cautions, two more than last year: the Michael Shank Racing Ligier got pole with a time of 1:39.194, slower than last year's pole time of 1:38.270; however, the winning car last year only did 695 laps. The fight for top honors was shaved to a four-car battle over the first third of the event. The No. 02 Ganassi car took the lead on the first lap, swapping it well into the night with the No. 01 Ganassi car, the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP, and the defending champion No. 5 Action Express Corvette DP, all of them staying within about 20 seconds of one another. The Action Express car had a fuel connector come loose and lost three laps getting towed back to the pits to have it reattached, but was back in the lead 18 hours in. The No. 01 Ganassi car dropped out with recurring clutch problems 22 hours in, retiring not long after. A race-within-the-race is where the concluding action happened, a seven minute, 30-second dash from the end of the last caution to the checkered flag. During the penultimate pit stops with an hour to go, Dixon was in second place followed Jordan Taylor in the Wayne Taylor Racing DP into the pits but beat him out, taking the lead. The Action Express car was in third. In the last pit stops of the race, Dixon gained even more time, getting a four-second advantage over Taylor. Then a full-course caution came out twenty minutes before the finish when a Prototype Challenge car hit the wall and caught fire, bunching up the field. That closed the pits, but the Wayne Taylor Racing car had to pit during that yellow because of a miscalculation of driver time. No driver can be behind the wheel for more than four hours in a six-hour period but Jordan Taylor was going to go over, so he came in to swap out for brother Ricky. That cost the team any chance of second place, since they took an additional drive-through penalty for entering closed pits. When the track went green again, Sebastien Bourdais in the Action Express car stayed all over Dixon for the final five laps but couldn't get around him.

Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.

Burt Reynolds' vehicles up for auction at Barrett-Jackson

Tue, Sep 25 2018

Burt Reynolds' influence on car culture cannot be overstated. Be it "Smokey and the Bandit" or "Cannonball Run," his films inspired a generation of car enthusiasts. He died a few weeks back from cardiac arrest at age 82. This weekend, four vehicles from Reynolds' personal collection — three Pontiacs and a Chevy — will go up for auction at Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas. It seems Reynolds had plans to sell the cars before he passed. He even filmed a short teaser for the auction and planned to attend the event himself. Three of the cars are Pontiac Trans Ams. Two are re-creations of the cars he drove in "Bandit" and the film "Hooper." Both are 1978 models. The third Trans Am is from 1984 and was used to promote Reynolds' USFL team, the Tampa Bay Bandits. The fourth vehicle is a 1978 Chevy R30 pickup truck. It's styled like the truck he drove in "Cannonball Run." None of the vehicles were actually used in the movies. But they were registered in his name, making them far more legitimate than some other movie-inspired clones. It's unclear how many Bandit Trans Ams Reynolds has owned over the years. Another car connected to him sold for $450,000 back in 2014. His death is sure to drive the price of these new cars even higher.
