2012 Chevrolet Camaro 2ss Rs I-1 Procharger ,many Modifications, 700 Horsepower on 2040-cars
Pittsfield, Massachusetts, United States
Thank you for looking at my Camaro. This car is a beautiful work of art, that showcases the best of performance technology, and amazing lighting effects. This car was professionally built by a local performance shop, and was a favorite there. This car is very unique as it has one of the rare i-1 Pro Chargers in it($11,000 installed 3 months ago). If your not familiar with the i-1 then take a minute to go to Pro charger's website and learn about. Simply put the i-1 is a programmable ratio supercharger, if you want to go out for a ride but want to save gas you turn it down, if you want more you choose what mode you want and the supercharger will run at that mode. The i-1 is is controlled by a touchscreen inside of the car, looks just like GPS unit. The i-1 also has a custom mode that can be programmed for an additional tune, and can have more boost put in it. Right now the car puts out almost 700 Horsepower on only 7.5 lbs of boost, imagine what it can do if you turn that up more. Below I have listed more info about the car as it has had major upgrades to the engine, suspension, exhaust system, as well as some incredible visual upgrades. This car has won awards at car shows, and stop and turns heads. I am selling it because I am looking to venture into dirt track racing, so this has to go. I am open to reasonable offers. Don't buy a new SS or Z1, this car is far superior. I have put a lot of money into this car so someone is going to get a nice deal. The Basics: Car has 2ss package so it has leather seats, Heads up Display, parking assistant, back up camera, and gauge cluster. I have build sheets available to be viewed if needed. Now the good stuff: Engine: Approx 700 Horsepower 6.2 Liter Pro Charger I1 programmable ratio Supercharger system Digital Touch Screen to control supercharger D&W 85 pound per hour fuel injector set, balanced and flowed TSM Custom Blower Camshaft package Barton Short throw bearing shifter with white 6 speed shift ball Suspension: SLP 1 inch variable lowering springs SLP Adjustable Performance sway bar package Rear Suspension Tubular Trailing Arms with red poly bushing Rear suspension toe rods (red) Rear suspension cradle poly bushing insert kit Exhaust: JBA Stainless Steel Emissions Legal Header System Stainless Works Retro Chambered Full 3 inch Cat Back Exhaust Tires: Mickey Thompson Street Comp 5 Show Car effects: -Full body red stripes -Oracle color shift headlights and fog lights (control box mounted on interior) -Engine bay lit with red LEDS (interior on/off switch) -Inter cooler lit with red LED (interior on/off switch) -Hood vent has color shift LEDs scanner bar (controlled by remote.) -Wheel wells are red LED lit (has interior on/off switch) -Interior foot wells are red LED lit (int on/off switch) -interior dome light red led lit -Custom Full red striping -Custom gill vent striping Car also has front and rear weather tech floor mats (also have originals) Car has red and black car cover Beautiful car, street drive, car show it, drag race it your choice. I bought this car with 4000 miles, the performance equipment upgrade and lights have only been on it for the last 3000 miles. Car is in excellent condition, and turns heads everywhere it goes, it is insanely fast and sounds amazing. I bought it to have a little fun with but now am looking to sell as I plan on getting into racing next year. I1 Prochager information: The ProCharger i-1 is the world's first programmable ratio supercharger. This latest addition to the ProCharger line produces not only the largest power gains, but also the ultimate performance power curve. Building on the benefits of centrifugal design, the i-1 delivers higher compressor efficiency than screw (roots) blowers, utilizes the most effective intercooling, and avoids the heat transfer associated with engine-top mounting or an exhaust interface. Air-to-air intercooling is standard, and as experts agree, inherently provides better cooling and reliability than air-to-water intercoolers for street use. Similar to the P-1SC-1 and D-1SC supercharger systems, i-1 ProCharger systems produce far more power per psi of boost than air-water-intercooled positive displacement supercharger systems. |

Jay Leno gets pulled over while roaring in a Corvette Z06 convertible
Tue, Jan 6 2015No one is above the law, even if that person is a certain silver-haired auto enthusiast with a popular weekly video series about the cars in his garage. This week, Jay Leno experiences the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z06, but he also gets to have a meeting with some of California's Finest immediately after a high-speed blast. As opposed to the full-bore Z06 coupe with the seven-speed manual, Leno gets behind the wheel of the slightly heavier convertible version with the eight-speed auto. Being a droptop doesn't bother him too much, but Leno makes it obvious he wishes that he could be shifting for himself. Even if the auto is technically quicker, Leno says that swapping gears gives him something to do while driving. Of course, one of the major advantages of the convertible is the ability to listen to the Z06's thumping V8 unimpeded. With 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque from 6.2-liters of supercharged muscle, it already puts down impressive numbers, but the sound might just be the best part of all. Around town, the 'Vette is quiet enough to easily blend in with the rest of traffic. However, tip the throttle down and the valves in the exhaust open up to turn the engine into roaring monster. Be careful where you make this thing howl, though, because it's pretty easy for the police to take notice. The host finds that out the hard way in this week's episode of Jay Leno's Garage. Weekly Recap: Electric Rapide concept showcases Aston's future
Sat, Oct 24 2015Aston Martin showed off an all-electric Rapide S prototype this week and announced an agreement with investment firm ChinaEquity to explore development of a production version of the sports sedan. The car could arrive in about two years if the project advances, and it would be built in Gaydon, England. The concept car, called the "RapidE" was developed with Williams Advanced Engineering. The electric Rapide is meant to highlight British innovation, and it was revealed during a state visit by Chinese president Xi Jinping to the United Kingdom. Spec were not available for the concept on display. "The car we showed in London is a fully running concept but not yet defining [of] our choice of battery, motor, inverter, etc," spokesman Simon Sproule said. "Now that we have a clearer path for producing the car, we will be defining all the parameters." Aston Martin has been vocal about its electric ambitions this year, and Sproule told us at the New York Auto Show that an all-electric Rapide could cost $200,000 to $250,000 or more. "It's a study, but we're serious about it," he said. Some reports have indicated the electric Rapide could pack as much as 1,000 horsepower. Aston considers electric technology the strongest play for modernizing its powertrains and meeting emissions standards around the world. Hybrids and all-electric models can offer high outputs and strong torque delivery, which is in keeping with the Aston's image as a sportscar maker. Company brass prefer this option over dropping down to four-cylinder engines. And yes, V8s and V12s remain part of the plan. The electric push is part of Aston's future strategy to remake its lineup, which includes refreshing its sportscars, building a production version of the electric all-wheel-drive DBX concept shown at the Geneva Motor Show, and adding a four-door Lagonda. OTHER NEWS & NOTES Domino's serves up purpose-built delivery car Domino's revealed a purpose-built pizza delivery car based on the Chevy Spark. It's called the DXP, for Delivery Expert, and it can handle up to 80 pizzas. The pies stay warm thanks to an oven located behind the driver's seat, and the DXP is sauced up with a puddle-lighting feature that projects the Domino's logo outside of the car. Power comes from the Spark's stock 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 84 hp that gets up to 39 mpg on the highway. Chevy dealers will be trained to service the DXP.
Looking back on our favorite cars of Mad Men
Tue, Apr 7 2015The second half of the seventh and final season of Mad Men debuted this week, set to cap a run of public and critical acclaim. A decade's worth of interesting cars also made for good television, if you were paying attention. Vehicles didn't often steal the spotlight from Don, Betty, Roger, Joan and the gang, but they added meaningfully to the tone and beauty of the series. We sorted through the wheeled extras from Mad Men's archives, and choose some of our favorites to highlight. The list consists of cars that had at least a small impact on the plot of an episode, though certainly there are worthy gems hiding in just about every street and driving scene. Check out our subjective top five, and then let us know which of the Mad Men cars would be on your list. 1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille – Season 2 Don Draper's Cadillac Coupe DeVille, all 500 feet of it, shows up in a few seasons of the show, but it's the first appearance that sets the tone. A Cadillac salesman, cut from the same cloth as Draper, asks what Don drives right now. "A Dodge," Don admits. "Those are wonderful if you want to get somewhere," allows the salesman, "this is for when you've already arrived." For a man on the move up corporate and social ladders that's a powerful message, and a pitch-perfect car. 1961 Lincoln Continental – Season 3 The most stylish Lincoln Continental ever is perfect set dressing for the mod show, of course. Though it's interesting that the car isn't cast as dapper Draper's ride, but rather his father-in-law's. Grandpa Gene does what all great grandfathers are bound to: lets his granddaughter Sally drive the big Lincoln while he works the pedals. Generational bond secured, in fine fashion. When you go back through the first three seasons of the show, you'll notice that Continentals show up more than once, too. There's nothing quite like them to evoke the best of the early '60s. 1963 John Deere 110 – Season 3 The only non-standard passenger vehicle on the list, no self-respecting gearhead/Mad Men fan should quibble with the inclusion of the John Deere 110 riding mower. For starters, the Deere is lovely to look at; a miniature version of the American Heartland icon in its green and yellow duds. The 110 appears as if milled from a solid block of steel, just the opposite of today's sleek, plasticky lawn minders (we're scouring Craigslist for one to bring home). The John Deere also has dear ramifications to the plot, too.
