1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - Low Miles - Beautiful Original Condition! on 2040-cars
Beachwood, Ohio, United States
1981 Z28 Last Year for Body style 36,000 Actual Miles Automatic 5.7 Cu In. 350 Engine All-original Power Steering Power Brakes Dual Exhaust Thank you for looking at my beautiful 1981 Camaro Z28. This was one of the last Z28s ever produced of this body style. This car was kept in a heated garage all of its life and never saw a single winter. It was always adult-owned and driven, and it only put on approximately 1,000 miles per year. The car has been serviced properly since it was new. If you’re the lucky winner of the car you can get in and drive it anywhere you want to go without opening the hood and checking any fluids. The tires and brakes are excellent, the exhaust is new, tune-up is 100% and it drives not much different than it did when it was brand-new. There are a few nicks. The body on the vehicle is super clean and 100% original except for the roof, because when the sunroof was installed they touched up any scratches after installation. However, it matches very nicely in both color and patina. The interior of the car is so nice that you’d think it was replaced, but it’s all-original. The air conditioner compressor did go bad, and it was removed, but it’s a very inexpensive fix. The reason that I didn’t fix it was because I’m barely using the car, and that’s also why I’m selling it. I am selling this car no-reserve, which means that the last highest bidder wins the car when the auction ends. I’m also selling this car as-is because there is no way that I can offer a warranty on this car. If you’d like to come out and personally inspect the car, you can do so for 7 days until the auction ends. If you can’t make it out, you can always call the local mechanic to come and give you a report. I would like the car picked up within 7 days of auction ending and I’d like the car paid for within 48 hours of the auction ending either by Paypal, wire transfer or cash (no checks). Please only bid if you have the funds available to purchase the vehicle and if you have the opportunity, please check out my eBay score because the description that I’m giving is straight and honest. I’d like to sell this vehicle to another eBayer that will appreciate my car with integrity. This is a clean, well-preserved, American classic car ready for cruising and car shows. Please check out all the pictures on the Photobucket so that you can get familiar with the car and appreciate the great condition it’s in. If you have any questions, or you want to make any offer, feel free to call Larry at 216-406-0220. Thank you for reading my ad and good luck to all bidders. GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics
Mon, 20 Aug 2012After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.

GM will recall 3.5 million pickups and SUVs to fix brake issue
Wed, Sep 11 2019WASHINGTON — General Motors Co is recalling 3.46 million U.S. pickup trucks and SUVs to address a vacuum pump issue that could make braking more difficult and increase the risk of a crash. The recall, which covers 2014-2018 model year vehicles, including some Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Silverado, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon vehicles, was triggered because the amount of vacuum created by the vacuum pump may decrease over time, GM told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in documents posted Wednesday. NHTSA opened a preliminary investigation into the issue in November 2018, and said it had reports of 9 crashes and two injuries related to the issue. It provided GM in July with additional field reports that prompted the automaker to open an investigation. The company did not immediately say on Wednesday how many injuries or crashes are linked to the issue but said it could impact braking in "rare circumstances." GM said dealers will reprogram the Electronic Brake Control Module with a new calibration that will improve how the system utilizes the hydraulic brake boost assist function when vacuum assist is depleted. GM said the vacuum assist pump, which is lubricated with engine oil that flows into the pump through a filter screen, can in some cases lose effectiveness over time, as debris such as oil sludge can accumulate on the filter screen. GM told NHTSA that prior model years used a different brake assist system design, and vehicles manufactured after 2018 were not equipped with the affected pump design. Recalls Chevrolet GM GMC
GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title
Thu, 12 Sep 2013General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.
