Up for auction is my 1977 Chevrolet Camaro. It is powered by a 396 big block engine, automatic transmission, and aftermarket limited slip unit with 342 Richmond gears. The trans is a 350 hydromatic with a mild stall converter and street shift kit. This car is driver quality and can be driven home. This car has always been stored inside and seasonally driven. It would benefit greatly from a tune up simply because it has been off the road for 4 months. The carb is a little sluggish under hard acceleration and she needs a few pumps of the pedal to start. The engine is dated 1972 and was built at the Tonawanda Engine Plant on Oct. 15 of 72. This is technically a 402 cubic inch engine and came factory in a 72 Camaro that is no longer with us. The engine code is T1015CTB..121136461. The heads are oval port closed chamber, crank is zero zero and cylinders are 30 over with Keith Black pistons. Compression is 10 to 1.

The body of this Camaro is super straight and solid. Please note that I am not sure if this is a true Rally Sport because it has had one repaint. The quarters, door skins, fenders and hood are all newer. The hood is an L88 fiberglass reproduction. The paint is PPG base clear in factory tones. The paint has had a few touch ups and you can see those in the pics. Also, the rear frame rails are showing rust in the normal Camaro areas. It doesn't affect the drivability of the car at all but some day will need attention. The exhaust is newer and the brakes work great.

If you have any questions you can call or text me at 937-935-6178 or send an e mail. ABSOLUTELY NO ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS. You will be cancelled and blocked. I require a $300. nonrefundable deposit in paypal as soon as the auction ends and the car is to be picked up and I am to be paid in full with in 2 weeks of auction end. You can pay me in bank transfer or come in person with cash. I am happy to work with shippers if you set it up. Thanks for looking, Shane.

2020 Chevy Trax spied sporting design cues from the new Blazer

Wed, Oct 3 2018

We saw spy shots in August for what we thought was either a redesigned Chevrolet Trax or new GMC subcompact crossover. At the time we were leaning Chevy. But after this latest batch of spy shots taken near GM's proving grounds, we're now thinking this one is the Trax replacement and the other one was a GMC. For one, the thin row of LEDs looks remarkably similar to the 2019 Chevy Blazer's LED strip. The additional light slightly below that is similar to the Blazer as well, leading us to believe that the next Trax will have a Blazer-esque front end. At first glance, this vehicle looks slightly larger than today's Trax with a much brawnier shape than the current blob-like design. The rear roof cladding could be hiding the same sloped rear window with spoiler hangover we see on the Blazer. Circling back to the other small GM crossover we caught testing, this one doesn't have those Blazer elements. The curved windshield and sloping roof are like those of the GMC Terrain, as are the horizontal grille bars. By contrast, the above car has a straighter windshield and a roof shaped more like the Blazer. One element that does seem to diverge from the new Blazer are the taillights, but they don't exactly look production-ready anyway. If we're right about this being the next Trax (and we're pretty sure we are) then this looks to be a more distinctive vehicle than what it will replace. The mirrors have left their awkward spot on the doors, and it's shaping up to be a much sportier looking crossover as a whole. This vehicle will most likely end up being a 2020 model year car, and if so, we would expect to see undisguised photos of both it and the assumed GMC version next year. Next Chevy Silverado could get this built-in tailgate step

Thu, Feb 2 2017

General Motors just received patent approval for a tailgate step in a pickup bed. And given the timing, don't be surprised if you see this on the upcoming 2019 Silverado pickup (not the mention its GMC Sierra twin), expected to arrive in late 2018. According to the patent, granted in December of last year, the whole mechanism is housed in the tailgate assemble. The magic happens when a portion of the top half of the tailgate swings down and a step folds out. There's also a handle that locks into position to help climb up into the bed. As trucks get bigger and taller over the years, it gets harder and harder to access the cargo bed. Ford's solution with the 2009 F-150 was a step that slides out from the end of the tailgate. Back then, Chevy made an ill-advised ad highlighting the feature for Ford. And while Howie Long mocked the F-150's "man step" Ford saw almost a third of its trucks with the option in the first year. The GM design seems to improve on Ford's idea as it appears to be wider and has a back to the lower step. That is, you don't have to worry about stepping through the ladder-rung design as on the F-150. Ford's tailgate step later spread to the F Super Duty, and other cargo access assists have proliferated through the truck world. On the most recent redesign, the Chevrolet Silverado took a trick from the Avalanche and added cutouts to the corners of the rear bumper that act as a foothold. Ford also offers a deployable side step, Chevrolet has running boards that scoot rearward with a kick of the boot, and Ram offers fixed wheel-to-wheel side rails. Nissan is in on the game too, with an optional folding step that tucks under the rear bumper. We don't expect Chevrolet to comment on when or if we'll see this feature in the showrooms. But given that engineers are already hard at work on the next Silverado and the timing of this patent lines right up with the new truck's development cycle, we'll be disappointed if this patent stays in the file cabinet. Teasers for the 2016 Chevy Volt continue, The Bowtie showing us in this latest outing how its range-extended hybrid dances on ice and snow. It will only take 42 seconds of your life so don't expect an Arctic challenge, but if you in the snow regions had any doubts about how it will handle the frozen goods, this should help assuage them. The bigger and better, more powerful and faster Volt - able to run regular fuel - will get out from under its camo at the North American International Auto Show next month.
