1973 Chevrolet Camaro Big Block Factory 4-speed Arizona Car! on 2040-cars
Surprise, Arizona, United States
1973 Camaro originally a small block 350 4 speed and was midnight blue from what I can tell from the vin. Now has a big block 454 and a 4 speed. The transmission is a 4 speed saginaw and comes with the bell housing. Car has all of the original 4 speed pedal assembly so putting it in will be easy. Does not have a driveshaft but should be able to get one from previous owner just have to go pick it up. This is a true Arizona car all the way! The little bit of rust on the bottom fender and near the rear window is all you will find. Floors are rock solid ready to go, Frame is not rusted. Has new body mounts from what I can see when I went under it. Really straight body, never been in a wreck and the only damage is on the front nose piece from installing the engine. A brand new one is $150 or fix what is there. 454 is installed, still needs cooling system and exhaust for it to run. Was pulled out of a running driving vehicle before put in this car. Still needs hood hinges. All the glass is good except for the front windshield has a crack and was fixed but looks ugly. Can provide spare sets of both side and back windows. No keys or locks in it right now. Front engine bay wiring was removed but still has the fusebox and all wires under the dash. Have headlights and brackets just need to be put back on. Interior is in fair shape, seats need to be reupholstered, dash and center console are cracked, and headliner is missing but other than that everything is there. All gauges are in place, cluster isn't cracked, original steering wheel, door panels are all there, all seats are included and have extra back seats. Great project car, don't have to deal with rust problems destroying your restoration. Have a Clean and Clear title in my name, shows 20,000 miles on the odometer and on the title, shows box a so that means the odometer was never messed with by going backwards with the miles but unsure if they are true miles.

GM natural gas-powered vans recalled due to possible leak
Wed, Sep 24 2014General Motors is recalling almost 3,200 of its compressed-natural-gas powered utility vans because of possible leaks. GM and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released a notice last week saying that 3,196 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana CNG vans are on recall, though no accidents have been reported due to the possible issue. The recall is specifically for vans for model years ranging from 2011 to 2014. The recall stems from a potential leak from the compressed natural gas high-pressure regulator, and such a leak could cause a fire or explosion. GM will replace the vehicles' high-pressure regulator in order to fix the problem, will do it free of charge and is instructing owners to contact Chevrolet or GMC customer service to arrange for the parts replacement. Utility vehicle makers like General Motors have pushed for fleet sales of CNG-powered vans and trucks for the past few years and have touted them for their cheaper refueling costs relative to standard gasoline, not to mention the fact that natural gas can be readily sourced from throughout North America (thanks, fracking). According to CNGPrices.com, compressed natural gas sells for about $2.22 a gallon, on average, while the AAA is pegging the average price of gas at $3.34 a gallon. NHTSA has posted information on the recall here. Featured Gallery News Source: NHTSA via Reuters Green Chevrolet GM GMC Natural Gas Vehicles CNG gmc savana
eBay Find of the Day: 1990 Chevy 1500 454 SS with just 7 miles
Sun, Jan 4 2015When trawling the classifieds either on a buying mission or merely a time-wasting mission, we spend a lot of time poring over photographs comparing the seller's idea of "Like New!" with our idea of it. It's hard to argue with seven original miles on the odometer, though, which is what this 1990 Chevrolet 1500 454 SS has. It's being sold by Country Chevrolet on eBay, the same dealer who sold the truck to its one and only owner 25 years ago. The purchaser bought two of them and left this one in a garage under a car cover, said garage being less than seven miles away from the showroom floor. Better yet, you can buy with confidence because the seller "has collected all records," which we expect would be the slimmest manilla folder in the history of receipt-keeping. For those unfamiliar, the 454 SS was a half-ton, regular cab, 2WD pickup powered by a 454 cubic inch (7.4-liter) V8 with 230 horsepower and 385 pound-feet of torque shifting through a three-speed transmission. This was at the same time the Chevrolet Corvette used a 5.7-liter V8 producing 250 hp and 350 lb-ft. The pickup rode on exclusive wheels and only came in black with red cloth inside. The only extra-cost option on this example is an $18 locking fuel filler cap, which, according to the 454ss forum, means it should have cost about $18,460 out the door, the equivalent of about $34,000 today. At the time of writing there are zero bids, but proceedings open at $45,000 and Country Chevrolet wants $49,000 if you have to have your time capsule right now.
